• How to connect an IDE and SATA drive on my computer

  I run windows XP Pro on my computer, it's a Sata hard drive, I also have to plug an IDE drive, but also a return to the top. Whenever I put the disc in, my computer can not see a reason any. Please help an old man if you would.

• A1103 new Ram and HARD drive will not start

  I have a Mac mini A1103. When I got there the folder flashing with question mark. I got a macbook earlier where this problem was solved by installing a new hard drive. so I ordered a new 160 GB IDE 2.5 "5400 RPM and 1 GB Corsair Valueselect DDR1 333 MHz hoping that this will help me get the mini running and preforming a little better with 512 MB of Ram.

  When I boot the mini after swapping ram and hard drive I always see the same flashing folder. I can reset the NVRAM Boot, enter diskmode target? (I think) and the Boot Manager.

  When I enter the Boot Manager I can see the following screen

  

  a few times I get to this screen for Open Firmware screen where I can use certain commands such as vram-reset reset-all rebot and so, but sometimes I'm just stuck on this screen.

  Anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong and what I can try next? I do not have the boot original dvd but I have a usb bootable with IOS 10.6 and a dvd with IOS 10.6 (not original) but I can't get botting from any of the devices.

  A Mac Mini A1103 has a G4 Power PC processor and cannot be greater than 10.5.8. Superior OSX versions require an Intel processor.

  In this statement "a usb bootable with IOS 10.6 and a dvd with IOS 10.6 (not original)" I think you mean OSX, not of iOS. You must obtain a copy of the original installation disc which was 10.3 or 10.4 or disk to upgrade to 10.4 or 10.5 full retail. Coverall A1103 all three 2005 models of the Mac Mini G4.

  You cannot use a grey disc unless it was delivered with your specific Mac.  Native gray disc with Macs and can not e used on the other model of disc.

  You can probably call Apple and order a copy of the original disks

  As far as I know the Satellite A50 uses DDR PC2700 modules. These modules must be compatible:
  PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
  PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
  1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

  There are different models of Satellite A50, but I think that there should be a drive HARD IDE(ATA-6) 60 GB 4200 RPM with 8 MB buffer size.

  There are only two ways to install sata drivers when using XP... using a floppy drive then select the driver you need, or "slipstreaming" drivers.

  I just reinstalled XP Pro on my PC.  In 'My Computer' my CD drive or my DVD player - RW appear.  In Device Manager, two discs show, with yellow exclamation point. In the properties of each drive, it says XP installed the driver, but cannot locate the device (Code 41).

  My BIOS sees the two discs properly and both are working, with a bootable CD after reboot.

  The DVD drive is a SATA drive and the CD-ROM drive is an IDE drive.

  I ran the automated Service technician to http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems but it has not fixed this.

  What can I do to fix this?

  Control Panel; System; Computer hardware; Device Manager; CD-ROM/DVD-ROM players; Select the drive; Right-click; Uninstall.  Then, restart the computer.

• Pavilion DV6 freezes but passes the Tests of memory and HARD drive

  I have a dv6-3025dx that the POST is fine. It does not start after the screen 7 start, the recovery Partition loading bar or a Windows 7 recovery disk loading bar. The HP Vision diagnostic and a drive OEM 7 freeze as well. Start with a Ubuntu DVD displays icon on the keyboard at the bottom then nothing else than a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. The HARD drive and memory in the BIOS Tests pass but the start-up Test, the Burn-in Test and the Test of memory in the partition the disk diagnostic all freeze immediately.

  I reset BIOS, change the RAM with known working sticks and clone the HDD on a well known player and still get the same result. I had to clone the drive from a different machine, because Acronis True Image 2011 boot disk crashes after the splash screen. A 3rd party BACK base RAM and HDD tests pass with flying colors; including Windows, MemTest86 Memory Diagnostic + and video memory Stress test. Basically, I can't start any GUI environment. only of DOS or Linux command line. I'm guessing that maybe the video chip? Ideas or confirm my diagnosis?

  You make text based OSes seem to work well. This could mean that the video card is at fault with loads greater than the bare.

  However, it could also be a SATA controller flaw that does not correctly handle the load. There is really no way to test this reliable I found.

  No matter whether the video controller or the controller SATA, the result is the same and that is replace the motherboard. If it was office, a SATA PCI-based controller can be purchased cheap enough to exclude it. However, this is not an option here.

• Not detected at all IDE drives

  OK, because of my most recent thread, I was forced to pull a 3.5 "IDE HDD in my office in an enclosure for backup. The backup went perfectly, no damage detected in all. • Responsible for Vista and works fine for about 2 days now, I get the product in use key try AnotherOne coming soon. I have old MB and HARD drive if that can help prove that I only want to use the key on a single machine.

  As noted, my motherboard has failed.  IDE only AGP CPU core.  Not much use trying to find anotherof those.  Replaced the motherboard with a newer version.  It has SATA, multi core processor, etc.  Processor and HARD drive had to be replaced.

  My Vista home premium 32 bit running on my machine for years.  I loaded it on the upgrade with no problems.  Went to windows update and SP1 and then SP2 and all other windows updates suggest and worked very well, for a few days.

  Now, I get a message that the product key is already used and need to buy AnotherOne coming soon.

  You try to access BIOS and change the SCSI to IDE in the BIOS or Raid in IDE and try to install Windows 7.

  If it fails, contact your SCSI manufacturer for the latest drivers for your SCSI and install it by clicking on load drivers and try to install Windows 7.

• A virtual XP Server of VMWare machine with an IDE drive can be converted into ESX?

  Running ESX 3.5 update 3 and VC 2.5 update 3 (converter plugin 4.0.2).

  I have a couple windows XP virtual machines running on an old VMWare Server 1.x. I want to move them to our ESX cluster. However, they were built with IDE drives. Is it possible somehow during the conversion into ESX to pass SCSI drives?

  Make sure that you have a backup in the first place, in case something goes wrong.

• I have CS5 and my drive has been damaged.

  I have CS5 for Mac and my drive has been damaged. Adobe is no longer for download or a replacement disk. This happened to me with the CS3 version, and I paid to upgrade to CS5, now they want to do me it again. VERY UNHAPPY!

  Components/classes that use the swf file are not necessary for the server.  If you load on the server, it is useless.  They only count when you create a swf.  All the code and information they contain is absorbed in the swf file when you publish.

  ICloud is not in iCloud drive information includes Mail, Contacts, calendar, Photos, Notes, reminders, etc. iCloud Drive is a separate app or a section in iCloud.
