Workstation is an application that runs under Windows, so it can use the BONE is aware of.  In this case, you will need an operating system that is able to use the extra RAM.

  • Satellite C660-10 d - black screen after adding extra RAM!

    Hello world

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C660-10 d and have recently bought a 2GB additional RAM to upgrade my laptop to 4 GB in total. The RAM stick is identical to the 2 GB ram origin that settled in the laptop.

I added the extra ram and when I turn on the laptop the screen remains black, however the laptop fans can be heard etc. When I remove the extra ram com starts up fine and shows the windows login screen. I also tried the two ram sticks on their own to slot 1 and both work well, its only when they are both in the connectors that I get the black screen.

Any help asap would be fantastic.

    > When I remove the extra ram the com starts up fine and shows the windows login screen.

Its a problem with your extra RAM module.
    Is not fully compatible.
Recommend you use two identical Kingston RAM modules, these modules are great, tested and provide good quality.

  • Low PCMark score with extra RAM and SSD

I put an extra 8 GB of RAM Stick, 1600 MHz Crucial exposé Sport x, in a p158sa HP Pavilion 15, most Samsung Evo 128 SSD for the OS. Of 1.5 TB HARD drive is replaced instead of the optical drive. I used to test the performance of the benchmark of release for consumption at conventional speed - 8 PCMark but the score is only 2370, the clock on the memory Bus is 667, and RAM proved to be two bot 8 GB sticks running at 800 MHz, instead of1600MHz. New on PCMark, don't know what that mean all figures, all welcome advice on why the score is low and the speed of the RAM are listed below it should be. (The speed of RAM said Task Manager is 1600 MHz).

    Hello

You have TWO sticks, which means that the machine is runing and 800 MHz x 2 = 1600 MHz dual channel architecture. I don't see anything wrong with that. Please read more:

  • Satellite Pro 4600 (PS460E-02HYXEN) - where to buy extra RAM?

I'm trying to locate an extra for the above laptop RAM on behalf of a friend. I tried the usual places for RAM, without success. They suggested to contact Toshiba direct, but I can't find anything on the UK on RAM direct purchase from Toshiba site. I understand that this model can accommodate up to 512 MB, the vehicle currently has 256 MB (2 x 128 MB). The laptop is running Windows XP Home.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Buddy,

Yes, to you on time. I checked the user manual and founded the following information:
Two locations to accommodate the following modules:
    64 MB
    128 MB
    256 MB

This means that you can pass to 512 MB (256 MB in each slot).

Also I never heard that you can buy RAM Toshiba directly. You can contact the service provider authorized in your country. They can sell these modules and install it for you. :)

  • Re: RAM upgrade - Satellite P870 don't use extra RAM

    G ' Day
I installed 16 GB of additional RAM in my PSPLBA P870 - 02300S.
Properties of the computer tells me "memory (RAM) installed: 24.0 GB (16.0 GB usable).
I tried swapping the RAM sticks, had even replace them with the supplier. Have updated the BIOS to 6.1.
BIOS tells me that there are 24 GB installed.

What should I do to get the extra 8 GB "usable"?

    Thank you

    GeeBe800

In terms of specification is written:

    Memory - 16 GB of DDR3 memory (4 GB + 4 GB + 4 GB + 4 GB) (1600 Mhz)
Allocation of slots RAM - expandable to 16 GB of total memory (up to 32 GB with Win 7 Pro)

What operating system do you use? Original Win7 Home Premium (64 bit)?

  • Allot of extra RAM for LabVIEW

    Hi all

I'm out of memory trying to compile a great personality FPGA VI. LabVIEW generates an error and crashes when it reached the limit of 4 GB memory while generating intermediate files (specifically step 3/5). I have 8 GB of RAM installed on the laptop. I know that only 4 GB can be used by LV 32 bits, and it doesn't have a 64-bit version of LV FPGA. Does anyone have a solution or workaround for this? Decreasing again the size of my VI is not an option. I wonder if it is possible for compiling Xilnix itself of tools to access more memory?

    Mitch

I don't think that would compile a project that includes only the FPGA VI. My project includes only the items that are needed to build the bitfile: DMA FIFO read & write, a global variable sub VI and two other sub screws, which are used in the FPGA VI. In my view, that a key issue, it's that it handles many groups that are up to 64 elements each. I took care not to include functions that take a lot of space on the FPGA, avoided constraint, etc., but the large paintings are an essential component.

Yes, the Xilnix program itself is short of memory. If I remember correcly, the compiler showed the error message "a Xilnix request has run out of memory...". "and he said that 4 GB of RAM has been reached.

I get to the conclusion that I have to wait for a 64-bit version of LabVIEW FPGA to be released (with a 64-bit compiler) to build the VI in the desired way.

  • Adding extra RAM for laptop HP Pavillion

I know that I can add 1 G more RAM for my HP dv6000 laptop which currently has 1 gig of RAM for a total of 2 G.  But since I upgraded the OS from Vista to Windows 7 with SP1 64-bit, clocked at 1.6 ghz, do I add even more to reach a total of 3 G or 4 G?   It seems that the limiting factor is the speed of 1.6 ghz.

It is a 2 GB max model with an AMD processor. You have meg modules 2 x 512, you need to throw it and buy 2 x 1 gig modules.

    This is what you need:

  • Tecra 9100 - where to get extra RAM?

OK, so I found Crucial.co.uk a very useful site to determine what RAM your system can work with. Please can someone clarify for me than if I buy a 256 MB of RAM from them that I will also be able to use 256 MB of RAM already installed. It will be 512 MB of RAM - perfect for me.

And another thing, where can I find slot1 and slot2 and RAM is easy to install?

Thank you, and here is the Web page: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=E927B290A5CA7304

    Hello

The Tecra 9100 can be improved up to 1024 MB.
Two memory slots are available at the bottom of the unit and therefore, you can use the two modules, i.e. 2 x 256 MB or 2 x 512 MB.

As said that banks of memory are placed at the bottom of the unit. I think that it s in the middle and the coverage is only fixed with a screw.
Simply remove this screw and you will be able to open the lid and should see two slots

A hint; You can find useful information in the user manual. This can be downloaded from the page of Tosh

  • Extra RAM for Satellite L70-B-14Z

    Hello
I cannot find anywhere how to adapt the increase ram for my new Satellite L70-B-14z, am I to guess that this model should be returned to the Toshiba authorized service center?

We can just confirm that this model be OK to win 10 updated.

I'll take delivery of this unit this week.

Any help and advice will be great

    Tony

According to specification for laptop, your laptop can be upgraded up to 16 GB. Unfortunately your laptop isn't the cover of RAM in the bottom corner so the whole bottom cover needs to be removed and it must be done by the authorized service provider.

What about Win10? Win 10 support is not officially started, and now Toshiba offers no additional drivers for the upgrade. Anyway, you can download and install Win10 and test your machine, how it works.

Before doing this, create a recovery (DVD or USB) media. This recovery media, you can use if you want to install the original version of Windows that you have with your machine and that he put your laptop to factory settings.

  • Memory extra ram for Satellite Pro 6100

I want to expand the RAM but can not understand the difference between the 2 options listed. Can someone help, please

    512 MB Memory Expansion PC2100 part number: PA3164U - 1 M 51
    512 MB Memory Expansion (DDR-PC2100/2700) part number: PA3312U - 1 M 51

    What needs your laptop?
If PC2100 conforms to the specification of system to go with it.
If the PC2100/2700 is cheaper go with that one.
You can use another memory than the toshiba part numbers. You will save a bunch!

  • updated 32-bit to 64-bit vista if I can use the extra ram for FSX. but many download problems.

    Hello

I'm a nut FSX but have very IT limited knowledge. I wanted to achieve the best result for FSX (this 2 me not a game cos I can afford is more to fly the flat light where I 300hours and noticed a true likeness in fsx to plans I stole) so I bought the new PC i7/920 call t0 3.6 ghz. NVIDIA gtx285. 6 GB/ram/166 corsair.and installs 3 x monitor @22 inch with TrackIR 5.I thought I was going to enter Heaven FSX. However majority or all of the FSX CD I my system 32 bits do not appear in the installation of 100%. I appreciate the new way of loading FSX in 64-bit is different from 32-bit, etc.. My main complaint is I lose my GPS function on mission downloads and it's not good. I understand there is a way to increase the use of the ram for 32-bit (works 100%) where there has never been a problem, but seems very complicated. I currently use the resolution of 1980 but 3 screen in place will be allowed to 1680 etc.. HOW can I REACH 100% DOWNLOAD WITH 64 BIT as I can with 32 bits, which is limited to 3 GB of ram. Any FSX readers in addition to my download problems, what I need to have an incredible fast pc including 4 times cheaper than my cp very dear son. FSX is super super smooth with cadence to the max

    Hey booleyz,

Vista 64 bit is compatible with the game and you should get all the functions. When you download missions and if missing the GPS function, imply that there are no required files on the PC for the game. I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the game once and see if it works.

You can also try to reduce the graphic details in the game Options.

Here is a link I found that contains information about this:
