HP pavilion 15-ns204es: windows 7 SATA storage driver hp pavilion 15-n204

Hello:

See if the following works...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24293

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without all records.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts, and hopefully, will install W7.

How you are trying to install W7?

By a DVD or USB flash drive?

If a drive flash USB, make sure that plug you into one of the USB2 ports.

It will not work in a port USB3.

You also made the necessary changes to the BIOS so that you can install windows 7?

Windows 7 is not compatible with secure startup.

Check out this guide to what the BIOS settings must be changed.

    Hello:

    This probably isn't the issue.

Please read the information on how to get W7 to install on a laptop computer with a processor gen 6 below.

I suggest that make you your set of recovery discs before proceeding with the installation of W7 should fail the experience, and you will also need to go into BIOS, enable mode inherited, that must disable secure boot.  Windows 7 is not compatible with secure startup.

Here are the basic instructions for W7 to install on your model.

Microsoft Windows 7 installation media is not the native USB 3.0 drivers.

Therefore, add USB 3.0 drivers in Windows installation flash drive.

Intel has on it.  They have a utility that does all the work for you.

Follow the instructions in the Readme link to make a bootable USB flash drive to your windows installation DVD.

    ndows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/25476/Wi

Run it, and then tap your Installation USB Windows Media, and Windows 7 should install.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6130y PC, installation of Windows 7 on the new SATA hard drive problem

First of all, I can't find the model p6130y number on the HP Support.  The original hard drive came out and it was replaced with a Seagate SATA 850 GB drive, buy Windows 7 on DVD and I tried to install. Obtained through formatting the drive. Their only option now is to "Load a driver."  He says that I need to locate the HD driver on the media and press OK.  I can't find such an on installation disk so will try the find the right HD drivers for this model computer download on a USB key. Any ideas?

    Hello:

Here is the link for the driver sata for your model:

Just download it and do not run it.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-77141-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=3980095&sw_lang=

The motherboard in your model has major problems with the drives out and that the results in the hard drive and DVD drive from the BIOS endangered.

It could happen to your model, it's why W7 cannot find the hard drive.

You will need to download and install this free program.

    http://7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the Sata driver you downloaded and select 7 - zip option in the list.

Select extract to: I leave extract the name of the file and extract the exe file in a folder of driver.

Once you have the file, open it and copy the contents of the folder on a drive portable usb flash without the src folder.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install correctly.

  • HP Pavilion s5570t desktop computer: single SATA hard drive configured as RAID in BIOS

Our small computer lab has two offices of Pavilion Slimline s5570t that we have recently upgraded to Windows 10. I noticed that in the configuration of the BIOS for the SATA hard drive, it is defined as RAID. I don't know why. The thing that brought this to my attention, is that the software Intel Rapid storage technology constantly shows about 25% CPU use and there high usage of the disk when computers start first which makes them unusable until the software installs.

My question is can I change the setting of the BIOS SATA AHCI with no problems and that will solve the problem? The Intel rapid storage technology software version is v9.5.7.1002. It is obviously old and I could update, but I wonder if the real issue is the BIOS setting.

    Thank you

    JohnD

Thank you for the additional information.

I'm not sure it tells you, but I changed these settings without having to reinstall the operating system.  I suppose it could be correct.

  • Pavilion a6500f: can I add a second SATA hard drive to my HP Pavilion a6500f?

I have a HP Pavilion a6500f running Windows 7 Home Premium.  I would like to add a second hard drive to 500 GB 7200 RPM to it as a slave drive.  Can I do this?  And if I can how do I know what size must have the hard drive?

That your system is 8 years old, I suggest you these:

    (1) clone the old drive to a new drive, either 500 GB or 1 TB.  Use it as your new drive system.  Modern Sata 600 drives are 6 Gbps with 64 MB of cache memory. It will have better performance than older Sata 300 players with 32 MB cache / 3 GB/s.

    (2) your old-school, like the reader of the term 'slave' was a reference to the IDE/EIDE, cabling system.

    (3) all you need is a standard WD or Seagate 7200 RPM disk 3,5 '' hard. Both offer a free disk assistant program to facilitate the process of cloning.

  • Can you put a 500 g SATA hard drive in Pavilion a750w?

Can you put a 500 g SATA hard drive in Pavilion a750w?  The bios is version v3.26, and the operating system is XP with SP3.  40 gig HD is full and you are looking to replace it but do not know what the size limit is with this bios version.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion a705w desktop. This is based on the assumption that you converted the 5 and 0 and the fact that you mentioned a 40 GB hard drive.

You already have the most current version of the BIOS of your computer and running the most recent service pack of Windows XP. Your computer and the operating system should support a drive of 500 GB without problem. The only problem is that your computer isn't any SATA ports, only 66/100 IDE (PATA). Look at local retailers and online for the IDE drives.

  • Dv6500 - Windows 7 - SATA AHCI Drivers

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Dv6500 and recently purchased a copy of Win 7 Home Premium edition.

I've been toying with the idea of downgrading to XP like many others for quite awhile but decided to stick it out. the system had to be rebuilt, but I didn't I would have too many problems, system shaped like Win 7 uses the Vista kernel.

However, to my great surprise Win 7 does not notice the SATA HARD drive and I can't find the AHCI drivers anywhere on the site for Win 7 - finished those trials still HP? I note that a thread existed a few months ago and they were waiting to be signed / certified someone can help me to find the necessary driver for the HARD disk is picked up?

The question I have is that I have a BONE, I just spent more than £100 on a copy of Windows 7 to find that the drivers aren't on your site and the machine didn't come with a copy of the Vista OS CD for me to re - install when I bought the comet.

    Hi Cheryl,

We tested the theory of a replacement HARD drive tonight and to my surprise (don't say I doubted you for a second there) but the system has formatted the new HARD drive and we have installed VISTA and are currently in train now to see how he handles the new installation of Windows 7.

Everything to go well. We will buy a 320 GB HARD drive and install Windows 7 directly.

Thank you once again for your help on this issue. very much appreciated.

My hard drives of computers were completely destroyed by overhead sprinklers during a fire. Installing Windows said "we have found no disk drives. How can I get a storage driver? I can't go online until I have install windows. Thank you

    Hello

So it does not start from the disc, but when you get to the part where it asks me to choose a disk to install Windows, you do not see something here, is that correct? Go to the menu of the Bios (tap button "F2" at startup to access the Bios), then Advanced and check what you show for the SATA/operating Mode option.

  • Installation of Windows XP on TecraS3 with a 320 GB SATA hard drive

    Hallo,
during the installation of Windows XP on a Tecra S3-SATA hard drive is not discovered.

    Details:
Laptop: Toshiba Tecra S3, model PTS30E
    Hard drive: Toshiba MK3252GSX 320 S - ATA
    Driver used: raid-drv - 20071023162302.zip (from Toshiba)
    Toshiba-support document: TSB001272

For the installation of Windows I used correspondent support-Toshiba-document 'TSB001272' the external driver for SATA. The disk with the driver is used for installation, but the hard drive is still unknown.

PS: The Linux Suse 10.2 installation runs without problem.

Question: Who knows the good driver for Windows XP? Thank you.

    Manfred Alpers

    > For the Windows installation I used correspondent support-Toshiba-document 'TSB001272' the external driver for SATA. The disk with the driver is used for installation, but the hard drive is still unknown.

I think you mean this Toshiba document:
+ How to install Windows XP or Windows 2000 on a Toshiba computer with Serial ATA RAID drives.
    http://209.167.114.38/support/TechSupport/TSBs/all/-TSB001272.htm

Hey buddy the RAID driver can be found on the Toshiba driver page.
Use this driver as part of the tool called nLite. You can create a new XP CD and could include the RAID driver using this free tool.

I did this procedure several times and it still worked!

How you try to install Windows XP Home Edition?

You may receive an error message "Stop 0x0000007B" in the following scenarios:

    (a) a device driver that your computer boot controller needs is not configured to start during the startup process.

    (b) a device driver that needs your computer startup controller is damaged.

    (c) It can also occur if the hard drive in the BIOS configuration is bad.

You can check if the SATA hard drive is correctly configured in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) & can also update the BIOS. If you are not comfortable to do, you can contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.

Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You can also check this link:Advanced troubleshooting of errors "Stop 0x0000007B" in Windows XP
