HP pavilion 15-p0303nr: replace network adapter

Hello
I have a hp Pavilion 15-p030nr PN G6R14UA. I just got a dual band router and I can't connect at 5 GHz. Now, I know this laptop can connect only to a 2.4. My question is can I replace the NIC with a strip of duel map. And if so you have all of the recommendations.
Thank you

I am however connected to the modem via my wireless router and from there, connection to internet is normal.  So, I don't think it's a problem of modem.  This same modem provides TV service and phone as well.

I think that for some reason any that the wired adapter got zap and disappeared.  And since there is no way the computer to find it, I do not think I can load drivers or something like that.  Since this is a 'built-in LAN' I think too which may mean it is part of the motherboard and I can't just insert another card.  I don't know how in any case.

  • Pavilion network adapter are not not in Device Manager

My Pavilion P6330f lost the internal network adapter (no internet connection, adapter are not not in Device Manager).  Is it possible to re-restore/refresh it?  I tried to do a scan to refresh hardware, but it doesn't show any internal network adapter.

I was able to get back on the network by installing a wireless network adapter via the disk support provided with the wireless USB device and using Device Manager.

It seems that the internal NETWORK adapter has gone (fried) and I need to install a new NETWORK adapter in one of the expansion slots.  Other options?

    Is this a common problem?

    D.

No, it is not common, unless your home has experienced a surge\dropout of power or a bolt of lightning. What you are experiencing, this is usually the result of thet.

Since your office worked five years ago, he certainly provided you a reliable service. You might consider looking for a PC replacement in 2015. SCP last usually about five years before replacement is required.

Wireless, it's that a good option as no extra wire is a good thing.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5510y of: No. Wireless Network Adapter installed

I just bought a Pavilion Slimline S5510Y Desktop opportunity; not an installed wireless network adapter.   Y at - it somewhere that I can download the map?

Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office.  It doesn't have a wireless adapter.  It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card.  The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded.  There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1.  It may depend on the type of network you want to use.  The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC.  If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do.  Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers.  If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

And there is no update driver for Windows 10 on hp.com is a solution for this problem? Help, please.

    Hi Mrstenter,

The link (atheros.cz) you provided has the same problem. However, I found solutionon the below mentioned link. He was the pilot I needed and it worked! No both my cable and internet connections don't work.

SOLUTION: Downloaded the driverscape.com driver, double-click to open, double-click on the appliction of installation file, select the option repair the installation, and then follow the prompts. Restart the computer after installation. Mine worked.

Hi, for the past few weeks my network adapter drops connectivity at any time and the only way it can be "solved" by deactivation/activation of the connection but even that does not always work. Or restart the laptop. From time to time, it disappears from the Device Manager too.

I tried to uninstall the driver (sp66805) and reinstall also roll back, but always without success. Not sure if I install the wrong drivers or not or if my adapter fails slowly. As a last resort, I've changed the black and grey cable to the adapter that allows a certain driver (sp64950) to work for about 5-10 minutes once before needing to be reset.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1d28dx drivers for laptop PC Wireless Network Adapter?

I usually google the hardware ID, and then go to the support page and pilot of the model for pilots.

I think knowing that there is a driver for the wireless card is a year newer than the one in the laptop support and driver page, so I posted a place.

When you have helped so many people that I have, all I have to do now is to see the material ID's for most of the devices, and I know what they are.

For example... I didn't need to look for yours.

I think I spend too much time doing so.

  • HP Media Center M7690N: upgrade network adapter Gigabit - what card to replace the product to install

Hi, this could be a long post for something simple then I apologize in advance.

I recently updated my cable modem, router wireless at HQ and 150mbps broadband internet services. Came and went with the support technique of ISP and modem manufacturer and max results with speedtest I can get up to 92mbps. Seems that everything goes well on their ends. Not sure, but I suspect the 10/100 network adapter is my limit. So I bought a PCI Gigabit card and now I don't know what location to use. There is a dial-up modem connection in a slot and a wireless local area network (that I don't need) card in another. I thought I'd be able to recognize what PCI slot to use if there is a connector cable ethernet to one of the cards, but no. The ethernet connection is on a frame connected to the motherboard... so I was wondering if someone would have an idea to which PCI slot to swap? The Dial-up modem card or wireless Lan slot? Or is the network card built into the motherboard?

I learned that the peak of out to something like 130mbps PCI slots so I'm not expecting to get all the way to speed 150mbps broadband, but I would like to get as close as I can. And hope I'm on the right track with change of the network card.

Last year, I improved the two 1 TB hard drives each in a Raid? stripped configuration, maxed out at 8 GB memory and added new Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The little girl runs really well. I just wanted to give my trusty HP one more push.

Any idea would be appreciated... Thank you very much.

    BK-

I'd rather have an insightful dialogue than to have to ask you some questions.

You motherboard has 3 PCI slots.   Update external wireless modem does not help you support system that the internal Wi - Fi card does not match his speed, it's an old map of Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g.  The remote access card is actually a 56K bps modem data / fax, useless, unless your in Fax?  According to the HP website, you also have a PCI TV card (you do not have to mention)?

    (1) if the Fax is not used, remove the card. Use this location.

    (2) the old wireless card is now useless.

    (3) be aware you will lose Media Center if you ever upgrade to win 10 and many more.

Well, you did ask!  Treat the daughter of old nice. You have until 2020 to JanRead this also. Fun.
