HP Pavilion a4317c: ISO Boot help

So today, I decided to remove Ubuntu in my dual boot(the other being Windows 7) and I rebooted, but I needed a key USB bootable or a CD with Windows 7 ISO. I didn't either so I downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 from a site on a USB and tried to start but I'm left with:

BOOTMRG is missing
Press any key to restart

error: no such partition
Switching mode backup...
grub rescue > _

It would be in the command line. I guess that the ISO is a bootable, I downloaded from here: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/
If it is not bootable, can someone guide me somewhere to make it bootable or a bootable ISO file?
I have a valid Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 key if anyone is curious.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello

I suspect that the ISO image is corrupt.  Try the ISO from this site.

First, take out the HARD drive and put the screws to the right to maintain and replace the HARD drive and reboot again. It could be that the missing screws causing the HARD drive vibrates too and make the heads and causing the HARD drive having problems.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: Need help, PC laptop HP Pavilion 15 could not boot from USB external hard drive.

My desktop HP Pavilion P7-1074 4.5 years computer dropped last week. Planed to get a replacement on Black Friday or the day after Christmas. But I have to run some programs inside hard drve to the desktop computer. So I have attatched hard disk dive from my desktop to my laptop HP Pavilion 15 USB port with an enclosure.

The laptop would recognize the external hard drive as a SYSTEM (F 62.2 MB of free space of 97.9 MB, OS (GTB-free 1.11 of 1.35 TB and HP_RECOVERY (H 1.33 GB free of 11.0 GB.))) But I couldn't find the program I want to run.

I went into the BIOS to set the boot order to boot from USB first, but I could not get the result I expected. The laptop still start on its own hard drive. I tried all three USB ports, no one works.

    Hi @db69613,

First of all, programs of a different version or windows session will not work on another computer as it was installed on the computer of origin at this time. It is an installation and application software, to the difference of the data or information that is accessible by any computer when the hard drive is connected. It is because no software installation binds the application of this specific operating system installed on this specific to the time machine.

If the computer does not and the hard drive is accessible, all the content (such as music, photos, videos, and other information are accessible), but the programs have been installed originally are not available and will not work on any other computer when it is connected to the outside.

However, if the hard drive works fine, windows is correctly installed, then the same hard disk can be installed on another PC of office and some of the programs should work ideally.

  • Pavilion G6-2270dx: boot loop

G6, Win 8.1 Pavilion.  To turn on, I see the HP logo with swirling dots.  After a few moments, a box of gialog on light blue background (remincent of Win XP) appears with the date/time and the box 'OK '.  After three seconds or if the system reboots.  By pressing the key ESC annoys me to the list of Information/Boot/Diagonostics/BIOS/recovery.  I ran full diagnostics blown without identified error.  I can't recovery/restore pages; selection of F11 returns me to the loop start endless.

Reports of the BIOS version F.10. The journal poster D 090, 0021, 03F0 and error codes 0301.  Not sure resetting the BIOS because I don't know much.

I tried the remedies listed in other parts of the forum; Press the Insert with button / stop, no battery, etc. hold but I find still more suggestions...

    Hi @bomber6e

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I understand that during startup, you see the HP points logo swirling. After a few moments, you see a clear blue screen with the date and time and the possibility to press OK, a few seconds later it will reboot.   If you press the ESC key, you get to the bios screen. When you press F11, you are unable to get to the Recovery Manager.  Your current version of Bios is F.10 and the journal poster D 090, 0021, 03F0 and error codes 0301. You have run the diagnostics but no problems have been detected.

Several times using a Windows 7 installation dvd solves these problems. Until a couple of months, you can download an ISO to make a Windows 7 disc and I often recommemded that as a solution. Unfortunately deleted Microsoft Access to those files unless you have a retail license key. I don't know of any other place to download an iso without danger, so the only solution is to buy Windows 7 If you do not have a friend with a disk to use for the installation which you would activate using license key OEM on the label attached to the bottom of your laptop.

  • HP Pavilion G6 does? Help, please.

Today I just ordered a new battery and ac adapter for my laptop HP Pavilion G6. I replaced the battery while the laptop was still running with the old ac adatper in. Then I plugged the ac adapter. The battery won't charge so I ran a test to see what it was. He said to replace the battery and I thought it wasn't good because I just replaced a few mintues ago. I tried to look for solutions, and someone said to uninstall the battery adapter and then search for the hardware changes. It did not work. So I tried to restart my laptop and it would not load. Someone says then uninstall the adatper battery and power the laptop off. After that, I tried to turn on my laptop but nothing happened. I even hold it for 30 seconds to a minute and it does not turn on. However, the light that indicates he is in charge, and all white. No flashes.

So, what's the problem here? I screwed up in my laptop by uninstalling this thing of ac adapter in Device Manager? I had to restart it after that, it stop? My warranty is already out, I've had this laptop for 1-2 years.

I would really appreciate anyone's help.

It was the battery, which should have been uninstalled... Microsoft composite and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery. Then restart. Still should not have caused a problem remove the AC as a device adapter. It would be restarted. In other words, I don't think he's messed up. The battery and the AC adapter / CC work an independent of hardware basic user settings if you let them.

So now, you are facing a situation of no boot? Try an another hard reset. Remove the battery and AC, press and hold power 30 seconds and then plug AC and turn on. You can hot-plug a battery while the system works, but I do not understand the ritual that you did when you got the new battery and the AC adapter / CC. Did you just let stand with the new battery and new AC adapter is plugged in but the laptop shut down at night to see if it takes a charge? That's what you should do when you get a new battery. Top load before drawing conclusions on how it works.

It might help to know the symptoms that caused you to buy a new battery and the AC adapter / CC. Of course, you have had a problem and did not know what component was to blame. It could be neither and there could be a deeper problem.

  • My will is not Vista Home Edition PC Boot help please!

    Greetings to all!

    Background information:

Am running Windows Vista Home Premium
    Service Pack 2
    System type: 32-bit

    Material:

    Computer model: HP a1700n
    Processor: AMD X 2 250 processor 3.00 GHz thon

    Problem:

I am unable to boot. I used to be able to start successfully. When I try now to start, I meet a screen that says the following:

"A recent change in hardware or software could have installed a file that is signed.
    hurt or damage... »

    File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

    Status: 0xc0000428

Windows cannot verify the digital signature of the file

What I did to try to resolve the problem, to date, is to install
a known good HD in my computer so I can boot from. I then ran the "Malware Bytes" program against the unbootable drive to search for viruses. The scan came clean back indicating no viruses, etc..

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello

    See if that helps you.

Do a Safe Mode system restore to before the problem started, if possible.

If it doesn't, try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

  • Windows 8 HP laptop Pavilion will not boot from the cd?

    Hi all

I have a Windows 8 HP Pavilion laptop. I forgot the password of my account, but I wasn't worried because I had a recovery disc. However, even with the cd in the laptop, I directed to the login page every time. I want the cd to run the place and recover my account! I have enabled the legacy in BIOS and disable secure startup, and I even changed my boot order to put the boot first CD. None of this works well. Can someone help me? I really want to access my laptop soon.

    Thank you

    Alice

Immediately after switching on the laptop, press the ESC key to get a menu. Then press F9 boot options. Use the arrow key to move down and select/highlight the CD/DVD drive, and then press the Enter key.

  • Pavilion a6542 - no boot, freeze on blue HP Invent screen

I need help... My Pavilion a6542 does not start. It gets stuck on the blue HP Invent screen. The Bios menu is not accessible (F9, F10, F11 keys don't work), even if the keyboard lights are turned on.

    Features:

It was working fine yesterday, and it does not work anymore. I did not any recent installation or HW SW.

The PC is only 2 years old.

    Motherboard is Asus IPIBL-LB (Benicia).

I took the steps - following troubleshooting unsuccessfully:

    I tried another keyboard.

I tried to boot from a bootable CD (I tried Fedora Live CD and Ultimate Boot CD), but it does not start.

I reinstalled the cables on the motherboard, I reinstalled 4 memory cards, I reinstalled the HARD drive connectors.

There is no dust or burned capacitors on the motherboard.

==> Someone can help me diagnose the problem and find the solution? Thank you!

I could see that your troubleshooting resulted in a conclusion that your HARD drive is defective, which confirmed my suspicions.

You can replace your HARD drive and try to enjoy many services for Hard Drive Data Recovery. First try the manufacturer

    of your HARD drive.

  • ISO-> boot disk problems

I am trying to take an ISO file and turn it into a boot drive.  ISO question files are MHDD, disc Boot Magic and HDAT2.  I don't really know what I'm doing, but I first tried using Roxio, by selecting 'Make disk Bootable,' choose the ISO file and burning.  Disks wouldn't boot correctly.

After reading several, it seemed I'd need to extract the files first.  So I got WinImage, extracted the ISOs and burned the files extracted to a disk.  Once again, no dice.

What I am doing wrong?  I use a laptop XPS M1710 running Windows XP.  My BIOS version is up-to-date (A07).  And Yes, I changed the boot order to CD-ROM first.

Thanks a lot for any help in advance.

  • HP pavilion p6-2469ea: upgrade help

Hi, I currently plan on upgrading my hp pavilion p6-2469ea to be able to run more demanding games upstairs, as the ARK: survival has evolved and I have no experience with computers I'm stuck help then about what it needs to be updated and some recommendations would be much appreciated. Just to note that I have already updated the 8 GB ram.

    @TomM123, welcome to the forum.

Here are the system requirements for ARK: survival has evolved:

    http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=23214 & Game = Ark: % 20Survival % 20Evolved

It is clear from your processor and memory are fine.  I suggest that you upgrade to at least a 750Ti GTXvideo card.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

You may need to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The EVGA 750Ti said it will work with a power supply with 300W.  However, most of the members have reported needing at least 400W.  If you replace the power supply, I love the Corsair products.  A modular power supply is best for medium-sized business.  It allows you to use only the cables than absolutely necessary.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you a high power for the maximum level of use.

A final element that will make a major difference is an SSD.  I love Samsung SSD.  They seem to move better without the need to change the BIOS settings.  The only need is to make sure that the BIOS is set to AHCI.  The DSS will not work if it is not setup in this way.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.
