HP pavilion p6-2469ea: upgrade help

Hi, I currently plan on upgrading my hp pavilion p6-2469ea to be able to run more demanding games upstairs, as the ARK: survival has evolved and I have no experience with computers I'm stuck help then about what it needs to be updated and some recommendations would be much appreciated. Just to note that I have already updated the 8 GB ram.

@TomM123, welcome to the forum.

Here are the system requirements for ARK: survival has evolved:

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=23214 & Game = Ark: % 20Survival % 20Evolved

It is clear from your processor and memory are fine.  I suggest that you upgrade to at least a 750Ti GTXvideo card.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

You may need to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The EVGA 750Ti said it will work with a power supply with 300W.  However, most of the members have reported needing at least 400W.  If you replace the power supply, I love the Corsair products.  A modular power supply is best for medium-sized business.  It allows you to use only the cables than absolutely necessary.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you a high power for the maximum level of use.

A final element that will make a major difference is an SSD.  I love Samsung SSD.  They seem to move better without the need to change the BIOS settings.  The only need is to make sure that the BIOS is set to AHCI.  The DSS will not work if it is not setup in this way.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • Pavilion 15-P035NF: upgrading RAM Pavilion 15-P035NF - Help!

    Hi evreyone.

    I have a Pavilion 15-P035NF (J1Y40EA #ABF) with 1 RAM memory 4 GB DDR3L 1600.

I would like to upgrade. But before disassembling the laptop (not simple operation) I would like to know if I have one or two slots available, as such, I can go (16 GB?) and what type of RAM is compatible.

I don't see it in the system of the free laptop because it broke down (my laptop age: 1.5 years...) and I need to replace the hard drive (by a SSD).

If I look in the specific information related to this laptop, HP customer support are not available...

    Can you help me please?

    Thank you very much

Please someone can give me any help in the choice of an appropriate power supply upgrade for my HP Pavilion a6210uk desktop, which, at present, has a power supply (I think that its ATX) power with a total power of 300 w maximum. I saw a unit ATX PSU only intrested im, its website online from Maplin England is what follows - CIT, N43GU, ATX 550W - and I already have an another PSU new in a box that I have not found out if its safe (compatible) to use in my Pavilion a6210uk pc, office

    Here are all the details of the PSU in unopened box - ACE, ATX 12v P4, version 1.3 / version2.03 switching power supply, entry CA: 230VAC, 10 has 50-60 Hz, DC OUTPUT MAX 400W (+ 3, 3V 18A) (+ 5V 20 a) (+ 12V1 8A) (+ 12V2 13A) (-12V 0. 3A) (+ 5VSB 2A) it also says on the side THIS CB FC En60950 RoHS the voltage on the box says 115Vac or 230Vac or 115Vac / 230Vac It is a British and is allowed to use in my pc above?

  • HP Pavilion A6603W Graphics card upgrade help.

    Current graphics card:

    GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i (built-in to the motherboard as a chip)

    Power supply #: ATX-250-12Z-REV-D7R (250 Watts I think?)

    Computer model: (HP Pavilion A6603W)

Problem: Trying to figure out which is the best graphic card for upgrade with to keep up to date with current games, such as: battlefield, bad company 2, just cause 2, Amnesia: Dark descent.

Now in regards to food, I'm sure that ill have to level it as well. But I found quite reasonable online at the FRY's Electronics:

    http://www.frys.com/product/5503410

But in regards to the graphics card, I'm completely lost here that I out I can buy and not to buy. most of my games requires at least DirectX10 or more, which only takes my graphics card supported DirectX 9. I also saw that some graphics cards require power slots? I am completely new to this and I would like to have the support of users.

Oh and by the way, the minimum that I can spend is $ 250

    any suggestions?

Thank you for your time and your consideration.

Salko, to play the games you mentioned, you'll need a good mid-level video card.  I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  The main thing to check is the length of the card.  The newer cards are 10 "or more may not correspond to the expected location.  With a power supply that is at least 500W, you assign choices.

The Antec PSU should be fine.  However, I love OCZ and Corsair PSU for a higher power clean and stable.  They are the two manufacturers PSU enthusiast/gamer.  Check Newegg for a PSU that assign customers (read) and is rated at least 4 eggs.  It is a good indicator of the quality of the product of those who use it.

  • HP Pavilion G6 - 2004TX - Windows 8 upgrade help

In the HP Upgrade Instructions ( http://www8.hp.com/in/en/pdf/CNB003EN_tcm_188_1315624.pdf ), my laptop is mentioned as compatible with the Secure Boot (my laptop has Windows 8 UEFI BIOS).

But the upgrade of Windows 8 Assistant software that tells my laptop BIOS is not compatible with Secure Boot.

I am in a dilemma whether 'Upgrade on the spot' or 'Clean Install' for this reason.

If I install clean, then only I will be able to use the secure boot and other related functions. Help, please.

    No need to worry.

Even if the upgrade wizard say you that your pc can not allow secure startup, you can.

    Follow the steps below:

    (1) back up all your important data.

    (2) download all windows drivers for your model 8

    (3) make sure that you have Windows 8 in a DVD or Usb drive

    (4) when the laptop is turned off, insert the USB/DVD disc

    (5) go to the menu option to start by pressing the correct key of F (function key)

    (6) you should see an option to start (CD/DVD drive or USB key), ending with , select it.

    (7) install windows as usual, while scores first delete all existing partitions, and THEN only to make new partitions

    8) once that windows 8 is installed and up and running, restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup

    9) go to boot options

    (10) disable legacy support.

    (11) load the HP Factory default keys

    (12) select the secure boot.

    (13) FINISHED it!

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

you HAVE to install windows 8 in UEFI mode, otherwise you cannot activate the secure boot.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    # The UEFI of DVD installation option does not appear.

    > Windows 8 boot USB stick. () copy DVD content in a pendrive and start from that)

  • Pavilion X 2: upgrade memory Pavilion X 2 and windows 10 update HELP!

First of all I'm not a computer expert so the answers in plain English please. Thank you.

I just bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas.

I read that memory is low. It has 32 GB.

First of all what is the best easiest way to upgrade memory (micro sd card)? If so can what bits of information I keep on it?

    Then I upgraded to windows 10. Is a 32-bit or 64-bit system.

    Someone had problems with him?

Finally of office would what version you recommend.

    Thanks in advance

    Frank

    I have

    I assume you mean the 10 x 2 inches?

    -What is it?

    http://store.HP.com/us/en/ConfigureView?catalogId=10051&urlLangId=&langid=-1&StoreID=10151&catEntryId=1052151&quantity=1

Your only option for adding storage is with the SD card reader, which is actually a very good option. Get a fast SD card high capacity

    http://www.Amazon.com/SCT-digital-ultimate-extreme-S-F128-RT/DP/B00EOHX9LC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1447958468&SR=8-1&keywords=SDXC+128+gig

That stick to the machine and shaped into a literate player. Then you can go and change the location of Documents, images, video files in Windows 10.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/redirect-folder-new-location#1TC=Windows-7

Above is Windows 7 but Windows 10 still works the same. Move the files to the SD card, together is the default download location for the browser, etc.

Ask in terms of memory, but you mean that storage. The RAM (sharp) of 2 GB is not extensible. It is an Atom processor but the next generation and it is 64-bit. The Windows installed 10 will be a version 10 of Windows 64-bit edition, not some watered down Michael tablet thing. It can run Office 2016 and if she is a student of her school could have an agreement on this subject, or you can look in the student Office 365, version which is I think that $6 per month or $80 all the in.

  • HP Pavilion 102la-550 desktop: upgrade help

I got this pc last month and its great but I want to upgrade the video card and POWER supply, it came with a 730 gt and im sure that my power supply is 300 watts if I want to get a new one, this is the model

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=100-W1-0500-KR

I also want to adapt to an AMD RX 480

    http://www.AMD.com/en-us/products/graphics/Radeon-RX-series/Radeon-Rx-480

I want to know if I can upgrade these components, I do not think that the graphics will fit in the case (impossible to find dimensions anywhere but its likely 8.5 inches long), but I don't mind if I need to get the DVD player to use

    link to my computer

    http://h20565.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLocale=en_US & docid = emr_na-c04867683

BTW I lose the warranty if I open the case?

If so im probably going to wait a few more months

It is long 9.5 ".  Cut a 4.3 x 9.5 cardbaord model and try that. It should slide under the DVD drive. You should also disable Secure Boot. No question about the warranty.  It concerned only the original installed components.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: HP Pavilion Dv6 Graphics Card Upgrade help

    Hello

I wanted to update GFX card my PC for a long time and comes to learn that it IS indeed possible to upgrade, but if the map is too powerful I have to upgrade everything else as well.

I have never tried upgrading a PC before, but my dv6 has a GeForce GT 320 M card GPU and I would pass because I want to play games without having a large amount of offset.

Is it possible for me to move on a GPU higher without having to replace everything inside my computer?

And which of these cards that I would be able to upgrade to? (again, I am very new to this): http://www.geforce.com/hardware

    Thanks for listening

What is your exact model laptop? You use an external video card because I still don't know any HP dv6 model that uses the GT 320 M chip video but ready to be proven wrong. Insofar as this former post @banhien what he said, it's that you can't play the video without having to replace the motherboard.

I corrected the dv6-2000 series uses these video chips:

Discrete graphics graphic subsystem memory: nVidia ■ N10M-GE with 512 MB of memory dedicated nVidia N10P-GE with 1 GB dedicated memory ■

Those who are in fact the video GT250M apparently, but I found some old posts on the internet where HP is a dv6-2000 series Maybe the dv6-2160? who had 320M chip.

You can not pass yet really I'm sorry to say.

  • HP Pavilion p6206uk Desktop PC: HP Pavilion p6206uk desktop PC ram upgrade help?

    Hello

I want to know how I can improve my ram to, it says on the specifications with a 32 bit OS 4 GB but it does not say how I can get with a 64 bit so if anyone could tell me that would be great.

    Hello:

The specs say also that the maximum amount of memory you can install in each location of your PC is 2 GB, and since there are only two slots of memory, which is the maximum amount of memory, you can install your PC is 2 x 2 GB regardless of 32 or 64-bit.

HP tends to put this notation to OS 4 GB 32-bit on the set of their specifications.

According to the "HP Pavilion Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide", these are the possible configurations:

but I have no idea what kind of M.2 ssd should I buy...
M.2 internal SATA port or the PCIe is?
I also heard that in some cases the port of m2 is not enabled.

So my question is: How can I know if the port of m2 is activated and M.2 SSD is compatible with it?

Thank you much for the help!

I finally got an answer from HP support, my port of m2 is successfully activated and works very well. It is sata and pcie compatible.
