HP Pavilion a6000n Phoenix Bios

My 03/2007 Phoenix Bios is corrupted.

My computer model: a600

Product: rx885aa

Manufacturer: ASUS

name of the motherboard: M2N68 - LA

Name card mother HP: narrated - GL8E

Chip set: GeForce 6150SE apply 430

Operating system: Windows Vista

I asked the website of HP support for a download of the Phoenix bios, but wasn't able to find a download link.  Anyone know how I can get the Phoenix bios and provide a link for download.   Or is there a way someone can provide me with the bios, if they have it?  I need to Flash my bios with the original Phoenix bios with purchase of HP Pavilion a6000n desktop.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The bios updated to the a6000n HP is available since 09/2007.  Since then, there must be dozens of people who made the update to the bios and have fried their PC. You'd think with so many people having problems, HP fired the update of the bios on his website... or at least to give some sort of warning.  I can see why HP has let the update of the bios in place however.  Those who have made the update and fried their PC still needs access to the exe file posted to extract the ROM to Flash their bios corrupt 513...

In the interest of those who have the misfortune to do the update of the bios and the frying of their PC, take heart that their PC can be fixed.  I won't be able to make myself the fix until I have access to another PC.  But I'm pretty confident that the fix will work, because it has worked for others with the same HP computer.  The solution to the problem can be found in the material category of this forum under the thread "HP #a6000n bios checksum error after update bios.  It's a pain in buttocks for manually flashing bios corrupted, but it will be well worth the effort to get your PC up and running again.

Just shame on HP for show lack of interest to its customers.

  • HP Pavilion a6000n desktop: adding false graphic RAM and freezes start.

Well, I'm back with the same machine as the previous assignments.  I ordered the recovery of Surgeons of the computer disks and that they were unnecessary because the computer does not see any cd/dvd I have to install.  Finally gave up and ordered a Windows Vista recovery usb flash drive and installed the operating system.  I used it very well with the RAM minimum (1 GB).  I decided to upgrade the memory to use all 4 GB.  All four are recognized in the BIOS/Setup with the full 4 GB dispalyed.  The new brand of memory is Samsung.  Everything seems to be as it should.

Here's the problem: the Windows splash screen appears with the scan progress bar and when it gets to the sixth pass it freezes as black and alternating vertical lines distorted graph color vertical lines appear.  It will remain so until I have shut down, because he has not answered all the keyboard commands.

I removed two 1 GB modules and restarted without problem.  I've tried three, and he did nothing.  Swapped the output for the two 1gbs modules, I removed and they worked perfectly.  With four on board is the problem presented and only when windows is loading.

I also tried safe mode.  All four ram modules work with the VGA drivers in safe mode without graphical distortions or freezes.

I tried to restore the computer to an earlier time with the console of Windows Vista repair because he found from the problems and suggested this course of action.  When I did, he removed my Firefox browser.

Has anyone seen this problem before or a solution?  Thank you for help.

    HP Pavilion a6000n specifications

Before that I inform you of why 4 GB will not work, I will inform you of the steps, I took in coming to my conclusion.

First of all, I found an old PCI VGA card and installed.  Then I started the installer and changed to display pci dashboard.  F10 save and exit.  I left Vista find the new hardware and drivers.  Power off and swapped the cable from the monitor with pci card.  Restarted.  Last good known Configuration.  Made to the desktop with large icons, display etc.  Power off.  Installed all four modules of memory of 1 GB.  The installer confirms the mms of 1 GB in all four banks.  Save and exit.  A frozen fourth passage on the starting Windows progress bar screen.  Display is now less than a hundred multicolored pixels (it looks like stars in the night sky) scattered across the screen with barely perceptible ms inside progress bar.  Killed power as no response to input devices.  Modules removed from DIMM0 DIMM2 (banks 1 and 3) and installed two 512 MB mms instead.  Power, entered installation.  Confirmed 1 GB, 512MB, 1 GB, 512MB in DIMM0-4 (banks 1-4).  Save and exit.

Eureka!  Starts directly on the desktop with no complications.  Vista even automatically the Resolution 1600 x 900 display value.

Power off.  Remove the PCI card.  Has changed from the monitor to the integrated connector cable.  Powered on the Setup where I changed the display on board.  Saved and get out.  Straight to the desktop.  All right.  Vista indicates on the installed 3,072 GB 3.0 GB.

I had read a useless article on the HP Forum that said that HP had made disappear the memory alternative banks.  Thank you for that.  Thanks kaoutar to straighten me out on this.

After studying the limits of memory on Windows os systems, I made a discovery.  Due to the limitations of physical or software address, Vista cannot use 4 GB RAM in the 32-bit operating system.  You must install os 64 bit where it can use 8 GB to 16 GB.

Here are a few discussions of support, I found to cooberate my conclusion that 4 GB will not work on this computer, as this is with Vista 32 bit installed.

Thanks for the reply and assistance EricoInstallation of Bank alternation of RAM modules corresponding coupled to the reduction of two of these 512 MB back is the solution.  It was an error of installation of equipment so many restrictions imposed by hardware and software manufacturers.  If I or anyone else, wants more RAM under Vista or 7, will need the 64-bit versions.

  • My HP Pavilion a6000n cpu upgrade

I got this hp Pavilion a6000n friend and I basically rebuilt this computer, but I'm not sure what CPU I can go to. I've been watching this cpu for my computer. I am running windows 7 64 bit. This upgrade of the processor is possible for my computer?

Edit: I also watched this cpu, if the other cpu is too powerful.

    Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion a6000n desktop computer and its card mother M2N68 - LA (narrated). Based on these specifications, this model supports the following processors;

    Type of socket: AM2
    TDP: 89 watt
Athlon 64 X 2 with Dual Core technology up to 5600 + (up to 89 watt)
    Athlon 64 4000 + less than
    Sempron less than 4000 +.

Neither the processors you listed works on this computer.

  • Pavilion 1226nr: need bios password recovery

I just bought a refurbished 17 laptop computer 1226nr HP pavilion with a bios password hashing is (D567ADAF) Please help

    Hello

Your laptop is to produce a code hexadecimal halt which is stored in the ram as a 'one stop' and is recalculated after a reboot.  This indicates that you have a FRIEND bios later and unfortunately none of the current code generators will work - surprisingly, you can usually always remove power on password of the machine by removing the cell RTC (leave the connected Power Board) then hold down the power button for 60 seconds before reinserting the RTC.

The bad news is that the RTC is on the 'wrong' side of the motherboard so is going to require a lot of disassembly - see Page 92 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

  • Pavilion 23-b026 BIOS problem

Pavilion 23-b026 BIOS does not boot EFI of CD/DVD. Even if the start-up devices entry is edited and saved, ATAPI CD/DVD does not appear in the list of boot devices the next time. Is there any BIOS UEFI editing tool?

(this to make Windows 8 PC + Linux dual boot)

It turns out that, UEFI boot loader needs FAT32 file system to read the startup file EFI, where the CD/DVD is excluded. USB-disk/pen drive is the option.

I burned the ISO on usb disk linux & can boot the system into EFI him! Has successfully installed Linux & Win - 8 + Linux work correctly in dual-boot mode.

  • Pavilion DV7-3060us: BIOS restore file "not a win32 application invalid" (Pavilion DV7)

I have an intermittent (about 19 times out of 20) on a Pavilion DV7-3060us BIOS failure.  After that you press power, the fan and the light turns on, the screen remains black and lock/num lock flashing twice, pause, flash twice, etc..  Sometimes, the computer will boot normally to Win7.   Near as I can understand, I need to reflash the BIOS.  I downloaded the image file winflash/BIOS (SP47531.exe) the drivers and software page, but when I try to run it, I get a "...". not a Win32 valid request"message.

Any advice on how to get this file to run it, or another method to solve the failure of startup issue, would be very much appreciated.

So much worse... apparently the problem is I downloaded the file through Chrome.  Downloaded with IE on another machine, recorded on a USB key, it connected the USB on the machine of problem without difficulty.  Does not seem to have solved my problem starting, but the 'valid not a Win32 application' error has been resolved.

I was fixing a friend out of warranty HP Pavilion A6000N desktop and had to replace the motherboard. I installed the Asus M2N68-AM Plus mobo which is very similar to the Council of M2N68 - LA used in the original. Only problem is that I still was able to find a diagram pinout for the reader of card usb/audio/power front panel so that I can return his pc to him. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated that I tried to stick to the closer the original as humaly possible specifications.

  • HP Pavilion a6000n - improvement of the system. Need help with the decision and suggestions

    Hi all

I have a HP Pavilion a6000n, spec even with this link , except that I have 3 GB of memory and Window Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

I think to update some of my computer hardwares that can run more smooth in some games and to improve my gaming experience.

I'm looking to replace the processor and graphics card.  At the present time, I have an AMD Athlon (TM) 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 4200 + 2.2 and a NVIDIA Geforce 6150SE nforce 430.

My price range is around $100-$200 for processor and graphics together.

I looked at cela processor and graphics card

They will make a big difference and improvement than what I have at the moment?   If this isn't the case, then can you guys give me some suggestions on the choice of the better ones out there?

    Thank you!

You have only a 300w ATX PSU (Power Supply Unit), then you will need to update if you plan to install a good graphics card.  Check the manufacturers minimum power required for the card you decide on getting.  As for the CPU, it does not require the upgrade - the graphics card is what causes your performance problems (in the games).  I would like to spend more money on a power supply and graphics card and leave the CPU alon (so far )

    I have a Pavilion HPE h9 - 1120t Phoenix with Intel Core I7 - 3770 k and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system.

I checked that my CPU indeed does support virtualization technology, and it does according to Intel. However, when I try to run a 64-bit VM in VM Ware player, I get this message: "the host is capable of VT, but VT is disabled.

When I checked the BIOS to enable VT, I have been unable to find a setting for VT option can I update the BIOS to use VT?

    Hello:

Have you checked in the Security menu Security / Unit of material?

This is where the adjustment would be if she has one, and it is disabled by default.

  • Phoenix BIOS crashes, cannot run BIOS

Pavilion Media Center 8300f w / Phoenix Award BIOS v6.00 PG (1987-2007) and Windows Vista

Constant freezes and crashes when you run Windows Vista, and as he tried to reinstall Vista inspired me to experiment with my laptop Dell Windows 7 installation disc (before buying another Windows 7).  I installed Windows 7, but the 2nd restart, BIOS seems to be completely DISTROYED (such as BIOS code that is executed before the frost line).  I can still run MS-DOS.

What can I do now?  How do I Flash the BIOS so I can't even the configuration of the BIOS screen?  Also, where can I get an update of the v6.00 BIOS (which never worked well in any case)?

    Thank you

Solved using the clearing BIOS settings

    Clear CMOS, follow these steps:
    (1) unplug the power cord.
    (2) temporarily the value jumper CLR_CMOS_HP pins 1-2 pins 2-3.
    (3) to start the computer and BIOS now works very well (but still no Windows 7).
    (3) force stop and unplug the power cord.
    (4) rider CLR_CMOS_HP reset to pins 1-2.

Good information on the HP site:

I'm locked in bios and cmos of the clr and the pwd clr headers remove not the password on that they just put a factory password and I don't know what that password is, I also tried to remove the battery of the bios twice once for 30 minutes and again one or more nights , but I always ask me for a password only anyone know the bios password using this motherboard.

    Hello:

The clr pswd did not work is because the instructions you have seen are incomplete/incorrect.

I have rewritten them below, and that should take care of the problem...

To clear the password BIOS follow these steps:

  • Pavilion p7-1074be: BIOS power on password not recognized

    Hello

We have a p7-1074be pavilion desktop computer.

We had set the market empty password (BIOS).

Turn on the computer, however it says the password is incorrect.
After three attempts, it shows a symbol representing a star *, but not give not any code.

Restarting the computer re - allows three attempts.

    We tried the following:

    • Previous passwords, with or without shift caps lock, Numlock...
    • Reset the BIOS using the CMOS jumper.
    • Reset the BIOS by removing, waiting and replacing the CMOS battery.

but none of that works, the computer always requires a password to market and still refuses that we set.

Is there another way around this problem?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello:

Please read the info on the link below under the compensation password settings... Last listed item.

There is a password jumper and a cmos jumper.  You must move the password jumper.
