HP pavilion a6614f not start

Recently, I cleaned up my hp Pavilion a6614f. It was super dusty autour and fans and the CPU cooler, so I removed and pulverized dust eater on the radiator.  The CPU has managed to detach glued to the cooler. I placed the cooler back on the processor after cleaning, reinsert. After the 1st reconnect I started my PC and kept the side cover away just to see everything.  I noticed that the power light was conducted, the GPU fan increased and running and then all of a sudden the fan on top of the CPU stopped running and a few seconds later the case fan stopped running too.

Help, please.  A simple clean turned into an hour four troubleshooting melting down. (

CPU cooler fan and processor have a thin layer of compound radiator, transferring heat. When you remove this link, you must clean the compound to both fan and processor and reapply.

Last night I started to update my HP Pavilion Windows 8.1 to 10, but I have a problem, because today, in the morning, the update was 99%, and it ended, just after I have shut down the computer and is going to school and when I got home, I turned on my HP and the problem was that the HP logo appeared and he began to load , but he didn't only show anything else than that, so I thought I'd let load after 3 hours, it was still loading and it was reseting every 5 minutes and now I just can't not try windows 10. Help?

If the computer hangs at the HP logo screen, try to clean the vents from the computer to the air and then restarting the laptop.

Please note , remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

  • HP Pavilion will not start

I have a Pavilion P6774Y desktop computer.  A few days ago, he would not wake up.  I turn it off and be restarted using the power switch and the blue HP screen appeared, followed by a black screen with a cursor blinking in the upper left corner who disappered after a few seconds.   After repeating this a couple of times, I swapped the monitors and HRT has not set.  Then I unplugged it, let it sit for a few minutes, plugeed it it and restarted and it started normally.    Since then, the same question has occurred several times.   Sometimes it reboots normally, other times, I get the black screen.  Sometimes it takes to unplug and reboot several times for it to start.  Does anyone have any suggestions where to look for a solution?

    TF1965, welcome to the forum.

There are two possibilities: 1) a lack of power supply unit (PSU) or 2) a hard drive failed.

Here's a guide to troubleshooting of the PSU.  You can test the hard drive by using the Test SMART in BIOS.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • Pavilion does not start

    Hello

My Pavilion (3 years old/Vista/2 hard drives) locked - no response from the mouse/keyboard, couldn't ctrl-alt-delete.

I forced to close (and hold the button), and now it does not restart.

When I turn it on, the lights come on and the fan comes on, but no disk activity hard and nothing - not even a flicker - on the screen. I plugged it up to an old VGA - nothing.

It is a model of 2 hard drive, and I'm sure that came with no boot CD (I have an old XP CD - worth a try to boot from that?)

Any suggestions? Motherboard failure likely? I can't point diagnostics running, so I send to HP?

    Thank you very much

    Answered my own question.

I called local repair guy and he said to remove the battery for an hour, then restart with just the power supply. I did and it restarted.

    I have a HP Pavilion (prod. # GG753AV #ABA) running under Windows 7.

Power on, the switch lights up blue, fans are taking place but not boot upward and no display

I tried unpluggin keyboard etc but no luck

    Thanks for any help

Thanks for getting back to me!

Make sure that the monitor is on the correct input/source. On the monitor, you should have a Menu button or a button input/Source. The Source of entry/must be set to VGA. If the monitor is set to a different port like DVI or HDMI type, it might be initially to go to sleep because it does not detect plugged into ports. Check and double check the input source.

Also try reinstalling the RAM, which is just out the RAM and put it back in. If you have 2 sticks of RAM, you can also try to just put one in at a time in each slot to see if the screen lights up.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you get results.

    Hello

Technical page in your PC Watch: the Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT, or integrated graphics. You can check which graphic solution you have?

You can see the desktop when it is in safe mode?

Try the safe mode with networking enabled.

A position that interests you, your Version of the OS (6.06.000.0.00.256.1) indicates you are running the original version of Vista. You must also upgrade Vista to Service Pack 2 (6.0.6002).

If you can not download the drivers in safe mode with network, can you download the driver on another PC and save to disk?

While in safe mode try to remove the possible corrupt driver using Control Panel, restart and see if Vista will load a generic graphics driver. Then, you should be able to download and install the appropriate driver.

It is always helpful if you specify the operating system installed.

    You have two options.

Download a stand-alone antivirus\malware\adware scanner of a real antivirus company.

Search for your game of recovery disks and perform a factory image recovery.  You can also do this from the power on with a F11 key. You is probably the best option.

Once you got make sure that your PC and install a highly rated internet protection suite. Freebie antivirus programs are no help when it comes to rogue virus and malware such as you seem to have picked up. I prefer ESET Smart Suite and Norton Internet protection.

  • Pavilion 15-p027tx: Beats Audio not start on windows Startup

I updated my Hp Pavilion windows 10 p027tx when windows 10 has been released. But 2-3 days before I updated my drivers little to the last version that was available. I've also updated the audio driver realtek. But the problem is after update, Beats Audio does not start on starup windows. Beats Audio is still there but I have to start it manually by searching on it. Earlier, it allows to start in backgroud with an icon in the system tray. But now it doesn't. I have to start it manually. All the solutions to this?

    Hello

Another option would be to add the missing registry key which you can follow these steps.

First, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type : starting the interpreter, hit enter and then delete the boot entry you added earlier.

Before you begin, click the Start Menu, select settings, select system, Notifications & actions select on select icons appear in the taskbar - make sure that that there is not an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager" which is just off."

According to what you find, follow these steps.

    1. if there is an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager", set it to On and restart the computer and see if it fixed the problem.

    ***********************************************************

    2. if there is not an entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager", hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type regedit, press ENTER, and then click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

    Go to the following.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run       (click on Run to make sure it is highlighted ).

In the larger right pane, right-click on an empty area, move the pointer over new, and select string value.

    Name RTHDVCPL and press ENTER.

Now, do a right click of RTHDVCPL and select Edit.

Copy the entry below and paste it in the "Value data" field

    "C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe" s

    Click Ok to save it.

Close the registry editor and restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, click on the Start Menu, select settings, select system, Notifications & actions select on select icons appear in the taskbar - make sure that the entry for "Realtek HD Audio Manager" is set to one.

  • HP Pavilion a6040a will not start

    Hi guys,.

My Pavilion a6040a desktop running Vista home, does not start. All I get is a blank screen and a beep code (1 short, 1 long, pause, repeating endlessly). I can't run any recovery CD and I got up to the part where I have to take part in the troubleshooting guides (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107). However, I do not trust myself to remove, and will send a Tech if there is anything else I can do to solve the problem.

What happened in head upward to the accident:

Was functioning normally, do not try anything too demanding (just updated the client Java but I don't think that it would be the cause?)

Had a BSOD, restarted in safe mode, can't find the cause so restarted in normal mode to connect to the net.

An another BSOD a few hours later, restarted directly in the system recovery to run a diagnostic.

During the tests, the screen locked completely, and I had to force a shutdown.

Following this accident, the computer was unable to restart (see above).

Blue screens came too fast for me to read, and the error code that came after the first BSOD has been saved on the hard disk, which I cannot now access. If there is any other information that might help, I will try and provide them, keeping in mind, I can't have the system running at all to check the news!

Any help is very appreciated. My partner has an assignment for her master's degree due to a week and really needs the computer in place and running

    Thank you!

Unplug the computer and open the computer and remove and reinstall the memory. It is as simple as simple can get.

Even if you have the open computer take care of blowing dust around the CPU. Just look at the pictures in the link I sent. It could be that a fan does not spin also. Before you replace the cover, Plug and turn to see if fans turn.

  • Pavilion p6 - 2120t: Windows will not start with the new graphics card

Installed a Zotac GT 740 profile down in my desktop PC graphics card HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t and now the PC does not start.

HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t CTO desktop PC

    Configuration:
    Intel Pentium CPU [email protected]
    4.0 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics Driver version Family: 8.15.10.2291 dated 27/01/2011
Motherboard: IPISB-CU (Carmel2) (1 open PCI Express 16 expansion slot pins)

    BIOS to Version 7.18

    Running:
    Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit w/service pack 1
Two monitors (VGA, 1 digital port 1)

Before installing the new graphics card, I replaced the power supply original 300w with a 400w power supply.

For starters, I disabled the onboard graphics in Device Manager. Then, I opened the case and installed the GT-740 in the open PCI Express slot. I made sure that the card was fully engaged in the slot.

I plugged both monitors to their connections voted on the new map.

When I tried to boot the PC, the digital monitor displays the screen HP (the one that indicates which key support to achieve the start menu) and then frozen. No other entries of key or mouse have been accepted.

The PC then sounds 4 short beeps (about 10 seconds between each beep) and then a long beep before turning off the signal to the screen.

Then, I removed the new graphics card on the PC that starts then. I have reactivated the original graphics drivers and the PC then worked normally.

Tried the above process two more times with the same results.

I then went into the start menu to look at the BIOS. The menu of the BIOS shows two options:

    > Sources of boot UEFI

    Windows Boot Manager

    > Sources of boot legacy

    ATAP I CD/DVD player

    SATA2

    Hard drive

    SATA0

Network controller (Realtek PXE B06 D00)

PC using UEFI Boot Manager Windows boots normally

I have not tried Legacy Boot Sources because I don't know which one to choose.

I went to the HP site and looked for an update to the newest BIOS, but updating them is a rev version 7.16 while my PC shows my BIOS to version 7.18

I know that others have had a similar problem but I have not seen a solution that works for my PC.

    Any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Your PC isn't spec'd to run Windows 7 using the Windows Boot Manager.  I expect to a UEFI-based graphics card likely to work on an HP PC that does not have a BIOS version 8.

The below listed OEM HP, graphics cards should work in your PC using a normal non - UEFI W7 and W8 installation.

  • Pavilion HPE H8-1121: Pavilion HPE H8-1121 - new graphics card + power supply does not start after screen HP (Revisited)

I have the same problem as this post 2013!  Ouch. Pavilion HPE H8-1121 - new map chart + power supply, does not start after HP screen.

I installed a new power supply (Seasonic 620W), which works well.  I also installed a GTX 660Ti last year and it was works fine as well.  I recently bought a ZOTAC GTX 970 and attempted to install it, but it will not go beyond the blue HP screen and I get the same code of beeps (1 long, 3 short), who, seems, suggests that the video is not initialized.

    My BIOS date is 2011.

Where can I find an update for this?

I'm also using Windows 10, which I found on the HP site is not tested on my model and would probably not favourable to good use.  Should I do back up to 7 or 8?  and then update the BIOS?  Y at - it a update for my BIOS and where can I find.

In any case, I hope that this is a solution.  Again, this is not a bad machine to be 5 years old.

    Thanks for any help!

If the video card that you have purchased dose not a legacy vBIOS it will never start. An update of the BIOS doesn't solve that.

It is likely that your new video card has a vBIOS UEFI and that only is for the PC motherboards newer than yours which have a UEFI BIOS. Your motherboard has a legacy BIOS. 2012 is the year of model when the UEFI BIOS more or less became the de facto on motherboards standard.

I return it for a refund. Find the candidate of video cards that support the old BIOS. It can be inherited only or switchable vBIOS (legacy or UEFI) vBIOS.  I suggest looking at the site of Sapphire Technology. ZoTac is not known to provide enough information about their video cards in the way. You upgrade a pre-built desktop PC and it's different and a little more difficult to set up a DIY PC. I looked at the site of Zotac and see that nothing is said about their video vBIOS cards.  I would return to the map.  Carefully read the specifications of the video card. A candidate for your motherboard card must have inherited vBIOS support or simply, it won't work.

ZOTAC (they don't say anything about their product vBIOS)

    https://www.ZOTAC.com/us/product/graphics_card/GTX-970-amp-extreme-core

    Sapphire Technology

    http://www.sapphiretech.com/catapage_pd.asp?cataid=305&lang=eng

Because you look at game with 4 GB cards. Take a look at the following map. It has a double vBIOS. legacy and UEFI. http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=640A98CD-0CF0-4191-B75C-CA2800111ADB&lang=eng
