• Pavilion PC 40f d61: WiFi adapters network for Windows Vista and Windows 7 64-bit download

  I just bought a new Pavilion with 10 Windows, but I would like to use my old Pavilion d61 40f PC (currently with Windows Vista, but soon be upgraded to Windows 7) in another part of my house, using a Wi - Fi connection.  I get the message "the ability of your network adapter does not match the requirements of this network."  From what I understand, I need to download PROWin64.exe to have a network adapter that is compatible with Vista.  My problem is that I can't download it if I don't already have an internet connection.  It can be downloaded to a flash drive and if so, how?

  I have the cable for internet and television and I tried to unplug the modem from my TV and don't connect using a cable ethernet at the back of the computer and a telephone jack, but still had no connection.

  If it is not obvious, I am a tech novice, an explanation with as much detail as possible would be greatly appreciated.

  New card arrived? Hope to hear your problem has been resolved by the latter.

• Fix for Windows Solitaire and hearts

  Whenever I start solitaire or hearts for Windows 7, it always appears in the middle of the previously saved game even that I never actually recorded. Of course I can cancel out of the game, but it always ends up as a game lost in the statistics. This can happen as a result of being off tension or something like that, but I hope you get this fixed if I can. Has anyone experience this problem and how did you work around it or get it fixed?

  Try to open the folder withyour name here C:\Users\ and then there is a folder "Registered Parties" inside.  Delete game save from there, and then try to open the game again.

  How can I correct random lines horizontal and glitter for the LCD screens for windows vista HP Pavilion dv5? Only, it happens randomly and can get all a few minutes at a time every few hours. The entire screen white and black and horizontal lines will appear during the flickering on the half top of the screen only. Nothing else changes. My sound is immutable, and none of my screens change the size or location. However, they may appear up and down during the flashing. Can someone give me an idea of what is wrong? I looked on Google for possible corrections, but most of them seem to be for refresh rate and I don't have a notch for this and can't change it according to the steps they offer.

  Parts are available on eBay. The cost to you with shipping overseas could be 60US $50.  I actually did this fix myself and it is only moderately difficult and you could do it yourself.

• Upgrade CPU on HP Pavilion dv6z - 6 c 00 Quad Edition

  If I have this laptop and the CPU (or APU) is AMD A6 - 3420M, and I have Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. I'm looking to upgrade the processor to a preference to-8. My first question is, are the ONLY processors that I can upgrade my laptop with those indicated on the interview guide & Service? because I could not find one of these three A-8 processors for sale anywhere, and I feel that the guide might be outdated or something. And if the answer to the first question is no, so I am limited to what CPU I can put in this laptop or is it possible to AMD family?

  The FM1 and FS1 have pin very different counts. I don't think you can use a FM1 in your computer based on the number of pins and the higher power, that use processors FM1.

  I have a new laptop of 17-g192nr Pavilion 10 running windows.   When I go into documents and right-click on a document to remove, my cursor turns into an hourglass and stays there and freezes the laptop.   I have to close completely out of everything.    I read that what happens as well to others.    I fix this?

  I called Microsoft this morning. They have remote access to my computer and corrects the problem. Apparently, he had something to do with Windows 10. Thank you for your gelp but I'm ready now.

• Mr. Fixit for Windows XPe

  I have a thin client, PC running XPF. I use it to run a magicJack internet phone. Everything was going well until the magicJack has attempted to update. I kept getting a message 'ERROR BROKED STORAGE'. I worked with one of their technicians to run a Mr. Fixit solution and the magicJack started working again. The next time I start the PC, it has yet. I tried the fix on two thin clients with the same results.

  I am now upon the magicJack on a Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 machine quad core which is clearly overkill for that request and I really want to use the workstation once again so I can stop the powerful computer when I not use it actively.

  I think that the solution of Mr. Fixit was not retained during startup. These patches can be applied to an embedded operating system? Is there an action should I take to make this a permanent fix?

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  I have a Pavilion 6700 AQuels came with Vista install that the HD has been replaced and installed Win7. Now the built-in microphones do not work on anything whatsoever.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  Paul Merci much.  You know what I did?  Well, I went to Dev man and looked at the properties of its clicked on update driver card and found a driver Realtec and that fixes the problem.  Works fine now.  Yet once again I can't thank you enough your time a review on this issue.  Don't know if I'll have more questions, but I'll definitely stay here if I do.   ::) Paul

  Have you checked against viruses and malware?

  Try this step.

  Go to the command prompt run command and type

  Right click and run as administrator

  Type sfc/scannow, and then press on enter

  It will look for corrupted files and try to fix them

  Try to delete the driver from Device Manager (not just uninstall)

  Restart your computer and run the HP Support Assistant to update the drivers again.

  If that did not help. You can try to install the original driver of Recovery Manager.  Using the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

  If you are still experiencing a problem, try a restore to before, it happened.  Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)

  If it is still not resolved, I suggest that perform you a recovery to factory.  Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

  During the recovery process, you will receive an option to backup your personal files. If you have not already done one, I suggest you do one now to avoid any data loss.

  Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

• Fix for buttons/icons not rendered? Victory 8.1, Firefox 40

  Hello Fellow FF users! For the past few weeks I tried to correct certain defects, I had with my mouse and keyboard. They are now fixed and works very well, I made about 1 000 different things, including changing the settings during this process. So about 2 weeks ago, the buttons on the pages stopped rendering. Which means that, if there is no button to click, as record, or a star rating or really buttons, which now seems in their place is a small rectangular box with small letters in it (absurd) and when you click it, nothing happens. Most embarrassing! I included icons in my search because they may be related somehow, although most of them make very well.

  Sorry you guys, but this bug is driving me crazy and I couldn't find a solution anywhere online in FF or settings, etc. I'm so angry at myself for not being able to fix myself! I bet it's something silly that can easily be solved. Hope so.

• Once Firefox, all my PDF files now have the Firefox icon. I don't like this. Mozilla is working on a fix for this?

  As stated, I used the reset function in Firefox and everything immediately after the icon on all my PDF files changed the Firefox icon. I hope that Mozilla is working on a fix for this?

  It works when you enter in the Acrobat > edit > Preferences > General & the application by default option choose down? to reselect it adobe application and confirm this selection...
