HP Pavilion dv6853cl charger problems

It takes time to get my charger to work. I have to jiggle around the port to get the blue light comes on. Most of the time after that it is fine if I move my laptop. Should I assume it's a charger only issue and buy another?

Hello

Sorry to hear that.  You can try another card.

Practice how you, the repair is here:

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01295877.PDF

Take a look at this, and maybe you could try to fix it yourself.

This laptop looks like the power connector is on a separate Board, so you only have to do this (see page 81 +).

If all goes well, once you get this opportunity, you can see that the joint on the power connector is bad (usually looks like a crack in the solder joint).

If you're not up to that, then you will need to find a place to repair (google for it).

You're right, it could be a hardware problem. I wanted to try to eliminate the software side first because the laptop does not seem to make the connection when the computer is turned off. I've included both links below that will show you how to test the material for chess.

  • update of iOS 10 charging problem

After the iOS10 on my iPad Air update, I started to have a charging problem.  With the cable is connected, the battery icon in the top right would change at "no charge".  I had an extension cable usb between the lightning and the wall outlet cable.  I removed the extension cable and load began to work properly.  Replace the extension cable and deliver returns.

It's either a problem with the update or intentionally done to force people to buy Apple products.  What update of the system would interrupt the load with a replacement cable?

I use spare parts but IFM certified cables without any problem.

If your device does not load, try the procedure described in this article from Apple:

  • MacBook charger problem

I have a macbook Pro retina, mid-2012, which has developed a charging problem.

The load is around 14% and menu of the top indicates that the load. However, light 2 MagSafe is completely turned off, and when he drops by 14%, is not increase either.

I tried a SMC reset without success. When he starts everything first (before) the battery shows 100%, but drops to 14 percent when it is connected.

There is no debris around the connections and cables are in good condition. Socket is very stable.

    Any idea what's going on?

    Thank you

It looks like a SMC problem. I would try to do the reset a few times more. Back in the way to be 100% on a reset SMC is by disconnecting the battery and by him plugging. If you have a local computer, small repair shop they can-off for free or cheap.

  • Satellite 1130 battery charge problem

Hi, just joined this site. I have a Satellite 1130 and seem to have a battery charging problem. Every so often, without regular pattern or a set of events to help the machine starts beeping and the Red charge blinks, as if the battery charge runs out, it is, but it happens when the charger is plugged - green power light shows that it is connected, but it is not the battery. The only solution I found is to turn the power off, disconnect the battery and back again. Then everything works until the next time.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

It is possible that there is a problem of electronic power supply. If the power supply microcontroller detects an error lamp DC IN sends a code flashing (8-bit error code). Can you please check it if the led blinks 8 times sending the code?

You can try to contact the Service partner, explain the problem and I'm sure they can give you a clear explanation.

  • Satellite A200: Charging problem

I have Toshiba Satellite A200 and recently I got some software with charging problems :(

When the battery is on 96-99% it does not start when I plug the charging cable (and says that the battery is at 100%).
If it is less than 96%, it starts to load, but it remains too long on 99% than before :(

Anyone who is familiar is what I need to do to start to load even if it is about 97% (for example :))?)

Have not observed this behavior management, but I can also say, that percentage is longer on 99 and then on others. Why, I don't know.
And I didn't look if he is in charge of 96, above or below.

I think it's normal and wouldn't call it a problem.

  • Battery charging problem

My iPhone 5s has recently had a charging problem. Got off the phone with about 18% battery life left but when I plugged in to a charger it came back to life and showed 18%. However, with the charger plugged in now never charged iPhone or it does so very slowly. He fell to 16% and stayed there for about 2 hours. Eventually, he started to decline while still connected to the charger until it was empty and closed. I then connected on two different Chargers and he wouldn't return. I left him in charge all night and he was still dead in the morning.

I had subsequently replace the battery and the charge was 34%. I decided to run low before the additional load as it was a new battery and better empty before recharging. However, the loading has become incredibly slow. I managed to load of 5% to 30% in a few hours, and then he stayed on 30% for 2 hours while I backed up things on my Mac and iCloud. I then continued the charge during the night and in the space of 10 hours, that she went from 30% to 95%.

Why so slow taxation? I use an Apple USB with a new battery. My software is updated to January 27, 2016. Could there be a problem with the loading port, event, although she acknowledges the Chargers whenever they are connected.

  • strange charging problem

I have a laptop DV7-3065DX that I got last Christmas and he has recently developed a strange charging problem.  The other day and all of a sudden that it stopped charging, so I left FS2004 and within 5 to 10 minutes, I was playing FS2004, it began to charge again.  I think it may be an overheating problem.  It is not a problem of power adapter, I tried to use my mother G60 adapter and still had the same problem during execution of FS2004.

The problem has become so bad that it would not load when activated, I called HP and I sent it back to get fixed.  I came home today, and it works fine now.  They have repaired or replaced my mobo, the thermal pad, battery and ac adapter.  I paid only for shipping to the France and I am happy to use again.

  • Aspire 5551 charging problem

Hi, I have and acer Aspire 5551 and I purchased 4 years ago. and recently the battery does not charge when I plug in the adapter, but it does sometimes when the laptop is turned off. I think theres a problem in the battery or an adapter, but I'm not sure.

I try to charge my laptop and it does not load and the battery icon does not load. Sometimes, if a disconnect the adapter and replace it it works for only a few minutes. I just wanted to know, would I need a new adapter? or a new battery?

Ok. Initially, you said that sometimes it loads for a few minutes if you unplug and then plug in the connector to the laptop or the laptop is off. While it is true that this could indicate a battery or Charger problem, I guess the battery leakage of current internal given its age - this would overload the charger and could stumble esp if the laptop was on. I would first try a new battery because they are relatively cheap as shown in this Amazon link. http://www.Amazon.com/replacement-laptop-battery-aspire-4400mAh/DP/B005TFONMC/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1 _...

The Chargers aren't that expensive either so you want to order one at the same time in order to qualify for free delivery Amazon. 8 ^) http://www.Amazon.com/4730Z-4631-5732Z-4437-5810T-8233-7741Z-4633-AS5552-3691/DP/B00763W35Y/Ref=sr_s...

  • Pavilion DV6t-7000: charging problem

It charges to 70% and stops the load even if you unplug the charger and plug it again that appears as if he is in charge, but only after a munite it stops again.

I tried another charger with her, and she has the same.

It would certainly be a battery problem.
Call HP. If you have a warranty, you could replace it for free.

  • Pavilion 15 laptop: replacement charger problem

My charger for this phone (740015-003) packed and I ordered the HP (741727-001) of replacement recommended a supplier online.

I got HP 709985-001 and would like to know if this charger will be ok for my laptop?

Difficult to contact HP directly ask the question, this Forum is my last resort?

    @Ralphie-2

    Works perfectly.

It's OK to go higher on the amps.

You do not have to go further down that which needs the laptop.

Which will cause the adapter to overheat.

One you have will work fine.

  • Pavilion dv2500 loading problems.

I have a HP Pavilion dv2500 Notebook PC and I just bought a new battery about two weeks ago. My laptop is less than two years and it took me about six months to get a new battery for my laptop. In this period, I use my laptop on my power adapter only with no problem. Now that I have a new battery, I noticed that my laptop has problems of load. It will charge the battery but only if the ca is in a certain position and nothing 'bumps' in there. Six months ago, I took my laptop to my college to check the life expectancy of the AC and my college said it was perfectly fine. I did yet another health check, but I wonder what could cause this problem. The battery again, and this problem just started after I started using a battery on my laptop. I think that my AC is about a year, too.

If I take the battery and the only laptop running on the AC, it won't work unless there again, it is in a certain position. And again, this battery is brand new and before she would charge perfectly fine. My power adapter could be dying or will I have another hardware problem? Because it's the only problem I've had.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01295820.PDF

If you have not tried with a different AC adapter, I'll try to see if I could borrow one and try that first.  If it still does the same thing, then I would say it is the seizure of power on the Board of Directors.  I don't know your whole model number but the link is for the service and maintenance manual for a 2500.  It will show the procedure to disassemble and fixing it.  Being to shake autour decision-making, I would say that it's a bad shot.  The link I posted in the previous post is for the usb card.  I just showed you that if you can see how the decision-making was there.  It just buy the plug with cable, and not to the usb Board.

  • HP Pavilion g7 - 1117cl: problem with starting up laptop

My laptop simply no longer lights. I have a laptop HP Pavilion g7 - 1117cl... It was to have a cooling fan problem so I disassembled the laptop and he has succeeded, then reassembled and tried to turn on, but nothing... I disassembled again to see if there was anything, I done wrong and maybe found nothing so I put it back together and still nothing was. There is no battery connected, only the charger is plugged. Any suggestions?

    Hi there @DaMan23,

Before you replaced the fan, did you get to try a BIOS reset? If this isn't the case, please put back the old fan in Notepad and try to do a reset of the BIOS with the old fan in.

You receive errors with the old fan? What led to replace you the fan? The reason I ask is because of way General, the laptop must have some sort of indication that it starts. Even if the fan is malfunctioning. The fact that yours won't start not even for 1 second leads me to believe that the issue is not the fan.

I looked the part number that you provided me. The fan you bought does not appear to be a part of certified HP. That said, there may be complications resulting from a scenario like that. I can't guarantee the functionality of the parts of a Web site not HP.

Here's your Guide to Service and Maintenance. You will find the part number for the fan you need 639460-001. This includes the thermal replacement hardware.

You can use the HP part Surfer to order a new fan that will be compatible with your laptop.

  • Pavilion DV9008NR BIOS problem 8 32-bit Windows

    I have a mobile Pavilion DV9008NR older:

    RAM - 2 GB RAM

    CPU - Athlon Turion 64 x 2 TL-50 1.6 GHz

    Motherboard - Quanta 30B 9

    Chipset - NVIDIA GeForce 6150

Southbridge - NVIDIA NForce 410/430 MCP

    BIOS HP F.43 22/03/2010

-GPU of NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) (MS Bsic Disply C52 A.2 adapter graphics card

This has been previously loaded with WinXP SP3 with nLite slipstreamed 1.42 to load SATA drivers.  He was previously the BIOS flashed to F.43 (latest version).

He was 'clean' updated with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade after passing all the tests.

After reboot, I got the standard HP/Phoenix BIOS screen with the usual guests for BIOS Setup and boot order.

Every time after that, the guests disappeared and Win8 charge * fast * as usual.

Feature to win 8 seems to be in good condition, and necessary Ricoh 5-in-1 and drivers NVIDIA coprocesser loading without difficulty.

I went back to my old image of WinXP and loaded several times BIOS normally with and invites you.

After reloading Win8, back to problems of any invites after the first reboot.

Try or during the BIOS support is * not * enter you the BIOS or boot order Setup.

It seems that somewhere Win8 is "anticipate" normal "flow" of the BIOS.

I understand that Win8 has a feature to take control to prevent the takeover of boot sector malware.

Is this what is happening?  (Which becomes a real problem with and may be necessary).

Is this a bug in the BIOS, or

    Is there something else.

    Thank you ~.

Just talked to the MS Support for something different and wondered about it.

Obviously, on some machines, this is * normal * and is the result of the function "Secure Boot.

The answer is... you need to use the 'restart' instead of 'Shut Down' to prepare the system to give the menu .
