First, take out the HARD drive and put the screws to the right to maintain and replace the HARD drive and reboot again. It could be that the missing screws causing the HARD drive vibrates too and make the heads and causing the HARD drive having problems.

  • Pavilion DV7-6000 series. Error message at startup invalid product information

I didn't know that my motherboard was bad from the factory.  On the first day, I was unable to do a full factory restore.  I always send to HP.  They sent me a motherboard and after installing it, I was able to do a full factory restore.  It was amazing... However, I now have this error message at startup.  Does that mean exactly?

When I go into the BIOS, information on the system is xxxxxxx.  When I go to HP technical support.  The product name, serial number and product number is yyyyyyyy.  I know it's fake, why?

Please don't tell me I have to send it after all.

OK I won't tell you who, but you already know this is bad and you need to call HP. There is a special piece of software used for 'tattoo' Board of Directors. I have seen a few cases where they just give you a link to download and instructions on how make the 'tattoo '.

Due to the major failure of HARD drive I had to replace it. I did the recovery disc for this computer shortly after getting it. Replaced and upgraded to a Toshiba 1 TB. Tried recovery disc I made. They caused the computer to lock up and just touch e power to stop would work to stop it. Ordered a new series of discs a few months earlier and go around doing a cover of them last week. Recovery stopped shortly after the second disc would begin (modified time/%) and would eject the DVD drive with a message to contact HP support and a replacement disk HARD would normally fix this problem press Finish to close the computer. After the reboot, I get this message:

2: Choose your language settings, and then click "next".

    8 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    128 GB SSD

    Hi Tony,.

Well, I finally understand that. I removed the RAM that was in it and installed just the 12800 DDR3 4 GB. There was a short video on the internet on Windows errors and he said try it. Well, it worked for me. Then, it was just a question of what the devil the restore program was doing. Guests or lack thereof are terrible, and the only way to know if it still works on something is on the lookout for the activity on the LED on the HARD drive. Thanks for the answer, and I hope one of these patches, either yours or mine, will help someone else. Incidentally he semed to the amount of installed memory. Whenever I went to 8GB I had problems. 6 or less and it was OK. Any manufacturer or speed (HP recommend of course) worked as long as I stayed under the 8GB. Thanks again.

  • Recovery disk works does not after replacing hard drive Pavilion dv7

Hello. I have problems of replacement of a failed hard drive in my HP Pavilion dv7-6154nr notebook running Windows 7. New HARD drive seems to install OK, but I get a Windows Boot Manager error when I try to run the recovery disks created when the system was purchased. The message says "the boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible" "status: Oxc000000f. I changed the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the internal DVD player but continue to make the same mistake

More info: I upgraded the HARD drive from a Toshiba MK6476GSX - 640 GB - 5400 RPM for a WD Black 7500BPKTSP.  I don't see any info in the new HARD drive in system information / BIOS so I don't know if it is recognized. However, it take and pass a diagnostic test.

    Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

Now you get the drivers from the support page and driver for your PC.

If you have a problem to find drivers (such as the wireless, unless you already knew what the wireless adapter model you have in the PC, you will not know which driver to install).

Just after the hardware ID's for all you can't find the drivers.  Who need device drivers appears in the Manager for devices with a little yellow. brand and labelled with material generic terms such as a network Contoller or PCI device, etc.

If you don't know how to find the hardware ID, please read the info on the link below.

  • HP recovery disks does not start in my HP Pavilion Dv7

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 that I have to wipe clean due to spyware. I bought the HP system recovery DVD and on them it says "to start, insert the disc into the optical drive of your computer and follow the on-screen instructions." Unfortunately, I insert the disc, and I get the info from the upcoming disc, but no instructions. I even tried to make the laptop run from the disk drive at first upward. When I did he asked me to create system recovery discs. I didn't need to make them, I have them from HP. Just frustrated about why the HP drive are not following the instructions.

Here is a picture of the screen I get when the disc is inserted:

I really hope that someone can help me that I've been waiting to do this for weeks, since I had to wait for discs.

    Thank you

    KC

You are the very welcome, KC.

If you can not boot from the DVD, it may indeed be a bad disk.

Also, make sure that you have disk 1 in the first to start from.

And Yes, you should get a very brief message to hit any key to boot from the CD, then watch carefully for it.

If you miss it must start over and restart the PC.

  • Error 601 help asked for Pavilion dv7 - 3063cl

    Hello

I have a Pavilion dv7 - 3063cl and anway there a 601 error. I replaced the internal battery (CMOS) and I thought everything would be fine, but at the start, I get the error 601. I looked around HP.com and other sites trying to figure out how to solve this problem, and he has been without success. When I plug in the AC adapter it will only be "plugged in, not not load." It was a difficult mess and it couldn't have come at a worse time, because I am a student with exams at the corner. One who reads my message and knows or has any suggestions is appreciated by speed. If you need more information, I will provide. Thank you.

On a side note, I did download and install the latest BIOS but I don't know if I need to do something more in this regard. I'm tech-savvy than the average, but I might have forgotten some minor details. Again, thank you.

    MC.

You need to replace the main battery.

I'm working on a G60 who has the same problem.

    Battery HP (601) alert.

  • HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx recovery disk

    Hi all

I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  • Pavilion DV7-4177: 4177 Pavilion DV7 Error Codes?

I have a Pavilion DV7 4177 that won't start, beep 15 times. The Caps Lock Led flashes 3 times in repetitive cycles. At HP I guess 3 led flashing documents indicate memory error, but what is sound? The screen stays black and there is no other message. I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

The most common cause of a computer beep when starting is a module.3 of cowards or bad memory flashes is also indicative of the loose or bad memory module. While is is not terribly common for both to fail at the same time, it happens. If it were my laptop I would try a new memory module-even one only if the budget is a problem.
