HP Pavilion p6210y CHIPSET!

I have the pc is listed in the topic. For some reason I can't find drivers chipset listed anywhere, or even the type of chipset that there. I don't want the Geforce drivers because I use a spare video card. The chipset on the HP site lists the Geforce 9100 chipset. So much for the video card. I need the drivers of the ordinary chipset, or to find out what chipset is in the system.

I have a problem where the device manage there is a device called "Coprocessor" appearing in the other devices section and cannot find a driver for it. In my view, that it is an element in the chipset. Regular chipset Nvidia drivers have the name "Nforce", video chipsets, "Geforce". So please don't tell me to get the Geforce drivers.

Also, how can I say-able video embedded in the cmos/bios?

In reference to the above answer... read my mind.

However, for those of you who may have the same problem, it can be solved by installing the following chipset driver:

Vista/W7 64 bit:

Vista/W7 32-bit:

XP 64-bit:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_winxp64_15.26.html

XP 32 bit:

Yes, what I discovered! Sorry to sound so mean before. I was frustrated!. Thank you Paul!

This post here is the real solution!

I have a flashing desktop (goes black and office) after upgrade to Windows 10.  Once connected, it is fine for about 10-15 seconds, then it starts flashing. I couldn't do anything - click on anything except CTRL-ALT-DEL to go to the Task Manager.

I did the upgrade 2 x already. Before my first attempt, I do nothing with my PC - I did not update the driver. When I arrived the office flashing after improvement, I panicked and immediately brought back to Windows 7. I was able to get to the window of recovery during the period of 10-15 seconds just after the connection. Fortunately, he returned to Windows 7.

After the first test, I read a little about the similar problem and so I tried some of the proposed solutions - update the drivers on my PC, to disable reporting services Windows (all on 10 to win), to try to go to Safe Mode.

So I tried again. I updated all the things I can to update (for most drivers) before the upgrade. Do you have PC Clean up. I had the office flashes again. It's the same thing. So while they are flashing, I tried to disable the windows reporting services that is very difficult to do with the Office of flashing. He did nothing clearly. So I went in Mode without failure. After starting in safe mode, I got the normal screen for about 5 seconds, but a blue window quickly flashed and then the desktop on Mode without failure just turned black, only the visible cursor.

So, I rolled back to Windows 7 new.

I don't have a lot of things/programs on my PC that I uninstall programs right away if I know that I will not use. I do scan of cleaning/Virus from PC on a regular basis.

    Information about my machine:

    HP Pavilion p6210y

    Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit

    Video card: NVIDIA GEForce 9100

All the suggestions/help will be very appreciated.

The only thing that solved the issue is reset my machine while keeping my personal files.

I've never understood what really caused it.

Thus, after the upgrade when the screen is flashing, I have reset the PC.

  • Pavilion p6210y: SATA host adapter problem

    Hey guys,.

I think I found a problem with the SATA host adapter in a desktop Pavilion p6210y.  I find it difficult to restore the system after a hard drive replacement, and I discovered that if I have TWO hard drive and the CD drive unplugged so the machine will start.  If I plug the hard drive OR the CD, then the machine hangs on the HP BIOS screen.  Output voltage of the PSU is normal.  I think the guest card (motherboard) is toast.

I did a little research, and it seems that it is a known problem with this motherboard.

This link may be the inlaid right.

Card failure causes a MCP chip overheating, which controls the SATA ports.

Card games and comparisons can be made here. Select the "Can I Run It' in the top bar.  Then you will know what you really need as a minimum.   Besure to consider a graphics card and the power supply.  (650W like a max).

  • Pavilion p6210y - sudden shutdown problem?

I have a new p6210y, running Windows 7, it is about 30 days old... I've been making stops unexpected when you do things like syncing to iTunes with my Touch or running a backup to an external HARD drive.  I get a blue screen for about 2-3 seconds... and then it stops and restarts.  I did some research and most of the things I've read point to driver issues.  I check for updates all my drivers on the HP site and on the Nvidia site, and everything seems to be current.  I can't quite read everything on the blue screen, but I take one line stating something like "nvxxxxxxx.sys" (x means that I don't remember what the letter) but the part "nv" made me think it had something to do with the video card from Nvidia, but I don't see any updated drivers.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how can I proceed?

  • After going into sleep mode after automatic update of Windows 7, Pavilion p6210y PC won't sleep

In two weeks, after an update of HP launched automatically, my monitor is not recognized - I tried to restart my PC via the power button, but the action brought everything back without interruption to the place.  Finally I made the necessary update HP closed down and all was back to normal.  Last night I made a full stop and a Windows 7 launched updates (do not turn off your computer, etc..).  This morning when I powered back upward, I got messages on the windows during Setup, etc, then everything returned normally.  I worked for a few hours and left the machine - it entered into mode 'sleep' and now I can't get out of fashion "Eve".  If I power cycle the monitor, I can messages same "cannot detect.  If I try to shut down the PC via the power button, the light is orange/sleep, I hear a humming, then seeing if off, then back to orange/snoring, reverse, etc..  Keeps the bike like this.  I'm afraid that question a couple of weeks may have been a sign of early warning of a problem of h/w, but am not sure.  Can anyone help?  I am not very savvy h/w... and hope that it is something more simple than that.  The PC is 2.5 years.

    @sooperglew

Only using three DIMMs will force the PC to run in single channel mode.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p620y needs of 2560 x 1600 PCIe 2.0 x 16 DisplayPort video card

    Hi all

I bought a HP Pavilion p6210y PC November 1, 2009;  and also, just bought a new monitor 30 inches of HP ZR30w which displays 2560 x 1600 (4 megapixels). To use it, I have to buy a new video card in 2560 x 1600 PCIe 2.0 x 16 DisplayPort. No problem, there are many like that high-end gaming cards. However, I am not a "Gamer" and do not need the performance beyond its high-end business use, a few Blue-ray movies and occasional sports coverage. This need corresponds to the remaining available power of 300 watts of p6210y power supply.

I have set up a 'power budget' for the new disks and memory that I bought, which gives me a power rating of base to work since I sail PCIe 2.0 x 16 DisplayPort video cards. However, I was not able to locate an estimate of drain of power for the "configuration of the showroom" Pavilion p6210y PC base that I bought in 2009. Can someone help me find this number, or show me how to estimate it? I need just an approximate number to work with.

I do not have the number of the power you want, but we have here on the forum use the power required by the manufacturer.  Here is a video card that should work on your computer:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814130795 & cm_re=evga_gt640-_-14-130-795-_-Product

However, it requires a power supply (PSU) with 350W.  You can find this information in the specifications tab.

Many newer cards need UEFI instead of a standard BIOS.  These cards will not work in your computer.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • No sound with HP p6210y

I just bought a HP Pavilion p6210y and when I first had it the noise came from the moniter. So I unplugged the speakers that I had signed. Then I adjusted the noise a few hours later, when I didn't hear anything. I used the sign + - on the moniter to do. Now, I get all the sounds. I looked everywhere I know watch and can't find anything that looks like it doesn't. Nobody knows what happened and how do I get my sound back when I want. I check to see if she was dumb and he is not. The sound icon says speakers are 62%. I'm puzzled. And Yes, I have windows 7 if it matters. There Realteck audio on it.

  • DUAL MONITOR HELP!

    System information:

    • HP P6210Y
    • Win 7
    • NVIDIA GeForce 9100

Above is my information system. I use a HP P6210Y with a GeForce 9100 graphics card. I have two [2] IN2030M of Dell monitors. I bought a VGA splitter and it worked, but now how I wanted it to work. Then I bought a DVI - D to VGA and DVI decision-making doesn't seem to work. VGA monitor works. DVI doesn't. It's just a black screen I receive. Both monitors work perfectly. Any idea what I can do to get two monitors going? I'm new on this and I find myself losing more money trying things my way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6210y. According to the specifications, this model has integrated nVidia GeForce 9100 chipset graphics that support a (analog) VGA output and DVI - D (digital only). There is no way to make an adapter DVI / VGA passive work. These adapters work with the DVI - A and DVI - I outputs. Should be an active DVI - D to VGA Converter convert the digital signal into an analog.

    The technical specifications for your Dell IN2030M monitor flat screen 20 inch indicate that they support the two DVI - D and VGA inputs. To solve your problem, you will need to purchase a DVI - D cable and connect as follows;

    Computer > DVI - D cable > monitor #1

    Computer > VGA cable > Monitor #2

  • error mess. No supported cpu and the computer turns off

I have a hp p6210y.  I took my computer and looked at herself, and the guy told me that my motherboard was likely bad.  He told m that the motherboard of the computer are bad and he advised to do not to buy a new one because it will go as bad.  My motherboard is a pegatron m2n78 - la.  It has an AMD athlon ii 620 quad-core. Well, I found one on ebay for about $100.  After that I put the new one where said pegatron m2n78 - la on it like that old one does.  I did put in the new processor.  The only different thing I noticed was as soon as I put on it instead of hp compaq said.  I'm a noob to all this.  The first I guys I listened to said that it was the hard drive and it has not fixed this is why I had in the type of computer and started to do myself.  Its been a learning experience for me if I look at the positive side of everything.  But now I have an extra hard drive new (seagate sv35.5 500 GB) sitting on my desk. Do I have to get a power cord with it also. I have the sata cable or whatever.  or I can run 2 hard drive at the same time.  Thank you very much

FYI... simply because the replacement motherboard has "M2N78 - LA" printed on it, does not mean that it is the same as your original plate. HP has a least 4 different motherboards all models "M2N78 - LA" but named Viola, Violet, Violet3 and Violet6. These motherboards can support different processors, socket, extension and ports of i/o slots back.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6210y and its M2N78-(purple) motherboard. Please make sure that the motherboard is good. Given that HP sells computers under the names of the HP and Compaq, you may see Compaq or HP screens 'splash' at the start of the brand. Although this should not affect the operation of the computer, the lack of good 'tattoo' can prevent you from using your recovery disks.

What I need to know is...

If I do a "Factory System Recovery" of "FACTORY_IMAGE" (D :) ', the recovery process complete "map around ' clusters and bad sectors and produce a full C: recovery accurate?  Or is - this disc 2009 so old that I need to replace it and reinstall Windows 7 using my "system repair discs?

If you use the /r switch in Chkdsk it tries to fix the bad clusters or move the data to a cluster of good.  CHKDSK will isolate the bad cluster and do not use it.  Maybe it's time to think about replacing the hard drive, it could be near the end of its service life.

You can perform a restore factory on this hard drive, but you must back up the data that you have on your E drive on an external drive, preferably an external hard drive, because they can be erased.

You need to install a new hard drive, it must be of equal size or greater than what you have now.  To install the new OS, you will need to use recovery discs that you can order from HP.  If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144 and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.  Otherwise the site worldwide: http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html

If HP does not have the recovery disks, you can order them from the surgeons of the computer:
