Pavilion p6210y - sudden shutdown problem?

I have a new p6210y, running Windows 7, it is about 30 days old... I've been making stops unexpected when you do things like syncing to iTunes with my Touch or running a backup to an external HARD drive.  I get a blue screen for about 2-3 seconds... and then it stops and restarts.  I did some research and most of the things I've read point to driver issues.  I check for updates all my drivers on the HP site and on the Nvidia site, and everything seems to be current.  I can't quite read everything on the blue screen, but I take one line stating something like "nvxxxxxxx.sys" (x means that I don't remember what the letter) but the part "nv" made me think it had something to do with the video card from Nvidia, but I don't see any updated drivers.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how can I proceed?

Hello. Pls I upgraded my hp pavilion i5-n040us
Windows 8 to 8.1. Since then, I can't stop. When I do, the screen becomes dark, but not off, and the power button stays on.the same black screen when it enters hibernation. Pls I need help.
    Thank you.

    Hello

Try disabling the Windows 8.1 hybrid start - you can do the following.

Right-click in the battery icon in the taskbar, and select Power Options.

Click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close windows open and stop the laptop by right clicking on the icon in Start Menu, select (Admin) command prompt and click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

Type (or copy and paste) the following command (including spaces) and click Enter.

    Shutdown /s /t 0

Start the laptop and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking if it is now shut down properly in the Start Menu.

If this has fixed the problem, it may be useful by turning the quick start back on - sometimes simply remove and re-create the file will solve the problem.

  • Satellite Pro U200: BSOD error and sudden shutdown problem

I have been using Satellite Pro U 200 since July this year.
I had a strange problem. The problem began in mid-October where my laptop appears a blue windows error screen and restart. When the system will re-start the screen would flicker start and the operating system would not initialize correctly.

It would give all sorts of error messages. Even if I tried to install a new operating system at this time where he would give error with the disc saying some file is corrupted. If you leave the phone turned off, it would again work normally.
The disc would normally work on other portable computers desktop computers.

I sent it for repair and they changed the hard drive. But the problem has returned to a degree less after a week.
He sent again and this time they changed the motherboard.
But the problem is now back with the blue screen stop.

    It's a Toshiba U 200 1.66 GHz memory gigabyte hard drive.
I bought the Canada and use it in England, there is therefore a Canadian power cable.
I am using Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2

    Any help will be appreciated!

Is it possible that some application you use is responsible for this? If there is an error on the corrupted file, I'm a bit skeptical about a malfunction of the equipment.

    You did some hardware upgrades?

  • Pavilion p6210y: SATA host adapter problem

    Hey guys,.

I think I found a problem with the SATA host adapter in a desktop Pavilion p6210y.  I find it difficult to restore the system after a hard drive replacement, and I discovered that if I have TWO hard drive and the CD drive unplugged so the machine will start.  If I plug the hard drive OR the CD, then the machine hangs on the HP BIOS screen.  Output voltage of the PSU is normal.  I think the guest card (motherboard) is toast.

I did a little research, and it seems that it is a known problem with this motherboard.

HP P6210Y does not detect hard drive

This link may be the inlaid right.

Card failure causes a MCP chip overheating, which controls the SATA ports.

  • HP Pavilion p6210y: Office flashing after upgrade Windows 10

I have a flashing desktop (goes black and office) after upgrade to Windows 10.  Once connected, it is fine for about 10-15 seconds, then it starts flashing. I couldn't do anything - click on anything except CTRL-ALT-DEL to go to the Task Manager.

I did the upgrade 2 x already. Before my first attempt, I do nothing with my PC - I did not update the driver. When I arrived the office flashing after improvement, I panicked and immediately brought back to Windows 7. I was able to get to the window of recovery during the period of 10-15 seconds just after the connection. Fortunately, he returned to Windows 7.

After the first test, I read a little about the similar problem and so I tried some of the proposed solutions - update the drivers on my PC, to disable reporting services Windows (all on 10 to win), to try to go to Safe Mode.

So I tried again. I updated all the things I can to update (for most drivers) before the upgrade. Do you have PC Clean up. I had the office flashes again. It's the same thing. So while they are flashing, I tried to disable the windows reporting services that is very difficult to do with the Office of flashing. He did nothing clearly. So I went in Mode without failure. After starting in safe mode, I got the normal screen for about 5 seconds, but a blue window quickly flashed and then the desktop on Mode without failure just turned black, only the visible cursor.

So, I rolled back to Windows 7 new.

I don't have a lot of things/programs on my PC that I uninstall programs right away if I know that I will not use. I do scan of cleaning/Virus from PC on a regular basis.

    Information about my machine:

    HP Pavilion p6210y

    Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit

    Video card: NVIDIA GEForce 9100

All the suggestions/help will be very appreciated.

The only thing that solved the issue is reset my machine while keeping my personal files.

I've never understood what really caused it.

Thus, after the upgrade when the screen is flashing, I have reset the PC.

  • Satellite L850-E8S - shutdown problems

    Hello everyone

I bought Toshiba Satellite L850-E8S with Windows 8.0 (for a single language) preinstalled in October 2013. At the moment I can't get stop normally.

Question: * pressing Shutdown (stop) of charms goes up "Windows is shutting down" and after that the screen turns off but power light is lit and the fan keeps operate.* I stop it by pressing the power button, I really want to quit smoking. (Once I didn't notice that and put the laptop in a bag for a few hours and it of a miracle that no equipment would have been burnt, despite the laptop was hot like the Sun) * the problem started after a month of use, and I didn't think her yet.*

First of all, I thought that the case concerns him * hybrid Shutdown in the Win8. I have visited many forums dedicated for hybrid stop, proven fruitless discussions. *! AND! I had the same problem on my laptop with a slight difference - loading Win7 and Linux * the monitor stays on (with the lights and the fan on either). *
Moreover, I also saw a BSOD after a day I bought the laptop. This problem concerned Realtek Audio driver and SRS Premium sound. As I understood the question is drivers conflict. Right now I have no installed Audio SRS premium and see no BSOD, but Realtek audio driver is not stable: the sound either begins to work in a few minutes after starting windows or it does'nt work at all.

First of all, I wish really that someone to help me with the shutdown problem. All tips are welcome.

  • NB200z shutdown problems

I am running XP service pack 3 with the NB200-z. This anomaly is intermittent, so it happens _most_ of the time, but not always (it does not seem to the use of a particular program in an obvious way).

During the shutdown to the bottom/hibernation or switch mode Eve anyway (closing the lid, pressing the power button / stop or start menu) it will close Explorer and all running programs and make it appear a window saying "prepare to stop" (or never, what state he's going in) and it just stays there. The mouse moves, so it did not freeze completely. By pressing ctrl, alt, del fails to bring up the Task Manager, so I don't see what is going on. At this point, my only option seems to be down the power button until the machine turns off.

Sometimes it will go beyond this point and the window disappears but it crashes and then completely on a blue background Uni where the same mouse cursor will not move. At this stage even once, I have to hold the power button until it turns off.

There are times where it will happen normally tap down and all the other computer functions seem to work very well?

I have looked around online to see if anyone else has this problem too, but have found no solution. Microsoft offers online that I disable the drivers one by one and keep close to see if it is a driver but I know it is damaging my HARD drive every time I turn off manually so I do not know what to do. I stopped him fine mode safe but it sometimes will vanish so fine...

I thought it's maybe someone knows of a recorder of closure that I can use to debug with? If I had a newspaper what file it broke so I could replace or remove the file?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

    Rob

Usually bad drivers or badly written apps cause a shutdown problem.

You have installed all the drivers recently? For example, a USB device or a printer?

    What AntiVirus you have installed?

I have a desktop HP Pavilion p6210y and I was wondering if it is cheaper by a whole new computer or add a new processor and add more RAM that my computer has slowed particularly new games I play.

I suggest that you compare to your specifications listed here to possible improvements listed. If you wander off list, beware.

Card games and comparisons can be made here. Select the "Can I Run It' in the top bar.  Then you will know what you really need as a minimum.   Besure to consider a graphics card and the power supply.  (650W like a max).

  • HP Pavilion DV4-5110TX overheating and thermal shutdown problem

    HP Pavilion DV4-5110TX under Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

I had problems with this computer from the beginning, to be honest.  But now the situation is unbearable.

I can't go even 30 minutes making the slightly intensive tasks involving the graphics card
(Like the game in low detail, do a rendering/CS/CAD work) without thermal shutdown due to a problem of overheating as a result of misplaced fan. and the fan on this thing is very very strong, even in low market (another downside of this model, but it's not the point).

SpeedFan shows average at 90 c CPU and GPU Temp about 65 ° c temp. Even when doing absolutely nothing (like now). What does really serve to accumulate all these heat? solve the world huger?

I tried to clean the vents, use the Compressed Air used an expensive Cooler Fan, reinstalled Windows and other drivers HP and demand several times now. and I exhuasted.

    Then. Help? Anyone?

Hello Opscsd.  I understand you are having some problems with the closing of overheating and/or random downs.

How long have you had this laptop?  It is still under warranty?

The fan makes a noise of rattling sound similar to what you would expect if the fan was loose or is it simply "strong"?

You have ensured that you have the latest version of the BIOS?  You said you updated the drivers and applications so I assure you.  I think it's the latest BIOS for your laptop.

I would also make the built in Diagnostics for hardware (RAM and hard drive because they both can cause similar symptoms).  This will help narrow down the cause.  If you don't know how to do these tests take a look at this document.  Be sure to view the results.

I will keep an eye out for your answer.  I wish you a great weekend!

  • HP Pavilion shutdown problems

    Thank you

    Hello

From you description, it really looks like a hardware problem - your laptop is listed as Windows 8.1 entry and should therefore still under warranty, - if necessary, you can check your warranty status here.

If you live in the United Kingdom, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6210y PC: RAM install problem

My office is in the factory with the exception of the video card which is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750Ti graphics card.  I bought by 4 chips of RAM DDR2 PC2 6400U 800 MHZ 240 PIN by Samsung and installed according to the instructions from HP.  I also double checked my bios and updated to the latest version that has been on the HP website on 20/05/15.   When installed and rebooted my computer I first had a problem with my computer freezing completely on my and I have to make a difficult stop by disconnecting the tower.  I did a reboot and done a diagnosis (F9) and waited to see what would do the memory.  Initially, I had a 'FAIL' BIOMEM-1 error.  After a few attempts, I then is gone one chip at a time and done the same thing.  After that the first 3 installs successfully, I determined then a single chip was bad.  At this point, I restarted my system and started running it with 12g of RAM.  After about 10 minutes, my computer froze again and went to a blue screen stop.  After that restart the desired system get a dskchk is for windows.   I've looked online and made a Windows hotfix, and cured this problem but continued to get the gel and closed blue.  I then reinstalled the factory RAM chips, and it is not reappeared since.  According to all that I can see 3 of my chips are good and should run.  What other steps could be or are at - it a driver for updating bios them or not, I have to do?  Help, please!

    @sooperglew

Only using three DIMMs will force the PC to run in single channel mode.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.
