HP Photosmart 5520: Redemption of ink

We opened ink cartridges we bought directly through HP. Is there a way to recover money for them or exchange them for a number of different cartridge?

If the cartrdiges are brand new in the box and not expired I would suggest that you call HP, 1-800-HPINVENt support, if you are in the United States or to the Canada or also see details here.  They can offer an Exchange.

    I see that you get a secure page and that you are unable to print black on your HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one printer. I'd be happy to help you with this.

    I like that you get the login screen for the Built-in Web server for the printer. Is this correct? This seems to indicate that someone has put a username and password on the printer, for security reasons. If you don't know what are the connection information, the only way to remove this is to do a factory reset on the device. I can send you this information in a private message. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

    That being said, I would like to start here. Please, try the steps in this guide, the printer prints blank Page or fact not printing black or color ink for HP Photosmart 5520 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 5520 series e-all-in-one printer.

    NOTE: This problem may be caused by problems with the ink cartridge print head or with the printer ink system.

    If you have completed all the above steps and your product still has a problem, the printer service.

    First, check your product warranty to check your warranty printer status and then go to contact HP support to find an authorized dealer or to schedule a repair.

    My husband recently bought a HP Photosmart 5520 printer while overseas, it was mailed to me and he always tells me that one or more of the cartledges ink are broken or missing and should be replaced, but when I up open transport of ink access door won't move at all and I cannot even make it move using my hands help Please?

    My cartridge was blocked completely to the right, could not move at all. After having much jiggling autour and try to pull to the left the transport kind of jumps down a little more inside to the right.  I tried to pull it to the left, but he was stuck again as something he was blocking, and it came to the top when I shot more difficult.  I messed with it to the point where the transport jumped down, and then I plugged the printer in and it worked very well. I know not what was wrong with it exactly, but it seemed to fix it

  • Photosmart 5520: ink exhausted too fast

    Photosmart 5520, I bought 4 months ago. Initially impressed. He ran out of black ink in double quick time. I concluded that HP half filled cartridges supplied with the printer. I put in a new black cartridge and is also sold out, already. Both should print 500 pages! It's a ream of paper. I know that I don't have something like this amount of paper used and would guess that I used less than 150 sheets, some in color. This is unacceptable. In addition, let's say that my impression is 50/50 color/black and white. Who is llikely averaged over several months. Since the color returns are 300 pages and 250 black. Then 2xblack cartridges should finally basket 600 to 1000 pages and 1xcolour. I guess that the number of pages is not make the difference between color and b & w.
    All cartridges now show low and it does not print anything. So 5 cartridges total allowed me to print of 365 pages. I think it is very very poor. 10 p per page is ridiculous in my opinion. I use photosmart for a further period of 6 months and then throw to a more economic type. My old Epsom was much better and still works. No Wi - Fi tho. I can come back

    A few hours ago, I bought a new cartridge. Because the return, we were out of ink and... I changed (for the second time since I bought the printer) and after that... the printer does not print black ink more.  I bought the printer at ElGiganten, Copenhagen, Denmark. I wasn't expecting to find unwanted product on the market, the Danmark. I wasn't expecting HP to deceive people so much. I checked here on the site if the printer, it's still in warranty... not even an answer. So I spend almost 5 hours to check all the * solutions * I try, the printer still give me blank pages.

    The ink on the new cartridge is now... 45% or something. How his as possible! If the pages came out completely of white100 euro, in the trash, past time for anything on this site/forum... I do not understand how you are allowed to sell bad products on the market.

    For HP, you have deceived many people including me, I hope you will take away from the market, at least to the Danmark.

    My Photosmart HP 5520 stopped printing the black cartridge. I just bought a new 3-pack true black ink cartridges. What a waste of money. The 'clean' running service printhead several times does not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

    Used HP 564xl ink pack opposite Greentec for genuine HP cartridges.

    THE PROBLEM:

    I don't know if it's a problem of printer or an ink problem.

    I never had a problem with my printer when buying original cartridges of HP (564).

    I started having problems a month using a Greentec HP 564xl pack (ink jet cartridges reconditioned) that stipulate "Using Greentec remanufactured cartridges does not cancel the warranty of your printer.

    I have attached a picture of what is happening and gradually each page becomes worse until the photos looked like they a 'filter' used these obviously they should not have to orange/pink.

    I did several "clean print heads" and "smear own ink" that doesn't seem to work. However, after a week of not to use my printer, it seems, print your photos as usual after the 3rd consecutive page, streaks begins to appear (very sweet), but in print to keep pages it gets worse.

    Here is an analysis of the diagnostic print quality. (black has small lines, blue is full...) I do not know.. Pink and yellow seem to.

    I'm sorry to hear you had problems with your Photosmart 5520 since switching to a generic brand of ink, but I'll certainly do my best to help!

    Since the problem started only once you have changed the generic brand of ink, I tend to call as the culprit to your question, but that does not mean we cannot try some in any case of troubleshooting

    I would recommend that you start to try the steps in this document setting streaks of ink, faded prints and other common print quality problems , and you can also try the steps in this document printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages .

    If the problem persists, it may be time to look in the switch on HP brand cartridges, because if these two documents may not solve the problem then, I feel much more confident in her pinning on the cartridges

    Hi all

    I just bought a 'HP Photosmart 5520'... Today

    I scoured the internet looking for answers to this question, I tried all the steps on pages I found... including all the steps listed here.

    As I only bought the printer today, I use certainly authentic HP ink, as I am with those who came in the box.

    I write a copy of a poster that I have on my computer... the left image was made using my new HP 5520... the right one was printed using a printer that is about 7 years old (I've deleted sensitive information)...

    As you can clearly see, the quality of the new printer is seriously not the height.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    Today, I returned my printer to the store & exchanged it for another brand. When I unpacked the printer, it worked straight out of the box, without any problem.

    I have a new HP Photosmart 5520 printer all-in-one.  Black ink ran out so I replaced it with a previously used ink cartridge which is of the same type # 564 but a XL version.  This cartridge has been barely used.  Now, I just can't get anything to print in black.  It will print in color, but not black.  I tried to turn off the printer.  I put the cartridge in my printer and it worked fine.  What should I do?

    From file Exploer type %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup in the address bar and press ENTER.
    Delete the shortcut to monitor alerts for Non-Existing printer ink and the error should appear is no longer.

    I have a printer HP Photosmart 5520 which, until recently, worked absolutely fine! I even upgraded my laptop to Windows 8 to 10 and the printer continued to work perfectly.

    However, a few weeks ago the printer no longer. In other words: when I try to send a print job to the printer from my laptop (wireless), the computer says it can't find the printer. The printer is on, certainly on the same network as the laptop's wireless and nothing has changed in this network. But I keep getting errors.

    I tried to solve the problem by deleting the printer in my computer and re-install the drivers, but when trying to run the driver installation program, it cannot locate my printer either. I can't locate even by manually typing the IP address of the printer (as Setup request)... Yet I don't know still certainly both devices are in the same network and I also double, triple checked the typed IP address.

    I really don't know what else to do. I also do not understand the problem at all, because I have absolutely nothing changed in my computer or network... the printer became simply "inaccessible".

    I'm now work around the problem by using e-print (send documents to print my eprint address), but I don't like this option because one) it's unnecessarily complicated. and (b) whenever you post a document, the printer prints an extra page with the e-mail address and it is a waste of paper and ink.

    So if someone could help me with my driver/connection problem, I would be very grateful!

    Running the diagnostics to http://www.hp.com/go/tools can help solve the problem.  Download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.

    You mention that you have checked the IP address.  You can open embedded Web Server (EWS printer) by entering the IP address if the printer in your browser?

  • Photosmart 5520 of printing quality

    I recently bought a photosmart 5520. It's my fourth HP printer. So far, I've been more than happy with the HP printers and that's why I've stuck with them.

    I am extremely disappointed by the print quality of the 5520. When you print a document in black Black is almost gray. It just doesn't seem to be enough ink and when printing photo skin tones are not accurate. It seems to be too much red.

    I got a deskjet 2180, which is only a printer not expensive but the quality of the print is much better than the print quality of the 5520.

    I want to know y at - it a setting that I can do to improve the print quality of my 5520 or is it a matter of "what I see, this is what I get.

    The ink gauge is an estimate and is not accurate.  I recommend that you replace all cartridges with new HP brand ink cartridges and run the cleanup once utility cartridge.  If the print quality is not good, try to run the utility up to 2 times more.  The utility can help the ink flowing through the new cartridges.  Let me know how it goes.

    Was fine print, but then the black began to go and then replace cartridge. Checked the vents and the vents are clean in black ink. Go to print a report on the quality, but the black is white. Any ideas how to make a partial or complete printer reset?

    I understand the frustration you feel. First, we determine if you are experiencing a hardware problem or software. I believe that the print head might be clogged, please follow the steps below to help you determine the cause.

    I would like to try the steps in this guide: printer prints a blank Page or not printed in black or color ink.

    • If the test page prints in black stop here!
    • If the test page doesn't print in black continue.

    Is the printer during the warranty period? If so, I suggest that you contact HP. I've included the contact information below.

    If the printer is not covered by the warranty, you can always try a manual cleaning print head, as shown in the video below. Please use at your own discretion.

    NOTE: HP Photosmart 5510 doesn't have a removable customer printhead as your 5520. This video shows how to remove and clean.
