HP Photosmart A516 printer range: Red/pink print

Tried to print photos, first picture was released in color and the following photos came out in red/pink one and the very faded.  Replacement cartridge with a new cartridge and I always have the same question.  Please can someone help, I don't want to have to buy new cartridges more or a new printer? Thank you

I read about the print quality problems you are having with your printer and wanted to stop in to help. Please, try the steps from the link I posted for you below. If the steps cannot solve the problem, you need a new printer as the print head has probably failed. I won't let HP contacts below for you if you want to call to discuss your upgrade options.

    I am connected to my MacBook via USB. I can print test pages, but nothing else. I went through all the steps in the troubleshooting guide.     Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I believe that when printing using your printer Photosmart D7460 he has red streaks in the printed output.

    I have included the publication of streaks or lines in the printed Image.  Please follow the steps in the order presented.

    I am trying to print a JPEG image that is very high resolution (3000 x 2000) and the quality is superb on my monitor.

    However when I try to print on my HP PhotoSmart 8400 printer there is a strange red 'sand' pattern (pixelation) that appears on the skin of most of the bodies of the subjects. I did the test the page and sample page that look ok, but does not use the same colors and has not any skin tone (it's a picture of Orchid).

    I tried this on glossy paper and regular paper, and it seems to pretty much the same, with the effect more pronounced on glossy paper. I also tried to change the image in several different ways, including lowering the resolution, changing colors and adding a blur gaussing, but cannot get rid of the strange grainy effect.

    Can you get it someone please let me know if it is a common problem with the device, or if my photo is somehow wrong? If Yes, where can I get a picture called to test the printing of skin tone, or how can I solve the problem.

    Update: I tried with another photo on the web and I see the same effect. Given that this printer is a few years old I start thinking that it's just a physical limitation of the printer.

    Found problem - I replaced my cartridge 99 and that fixed it.

    I didn't expect this type of behavior because of the low level of ink, but I guess there is a first time for everything ():

    The power for the Photosmart a530 printer adapter is C8442-60027.  I used to buy items on eBay.   If you buy on eBay or another online source make sure that the power cord you get is scheduled for your area.

    I have a HP photosmart C3100 printer. It has been giving me problems in the sense that whenever I turn it on it would be the test of the printer which is routine, each time you insert a new cartridge. I opted to leave it on and like that I do not lose excess ink. Now the red light indicating that you are in paper or a paper or door jam in the broken back remains open on and I cannot print. Any ideas other than buying a new printer?

    drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
    drivers and ask in their forums.

  • Photosmart 3310 prints random colors even when printing black

    Photosmart 3310 prints random colors in color, print and even when printing black.  This happens with photos, copies and printing documents.  I cleaned the print heads, ran the scan/repair software that says that the printer works fine. tried color calibration and these charts don't print correctly to match the place.  The first printed grid gray background with the nuances of roses square.  Printed low rack square pink dark only on white, there was no way to calibrate.  I put in all new inks (hp only of course), and the printer recognized them.  I have unplugged, rebooted, uninstalled, installed again.  Help, please!  Thank you.

    I'm sorry you are still having the problem with the printer. You can always review the HP upgrade program. This is where you can buy a printer refurbished at a reduced price, which will be accompanied by a full factory warranty. These printers will also be eligible for care pack extensions too.  The number for USA and Canada customers to call is 1-800-474-6836. I am adviser to this program so that know all the options that are available to them when we're under warranty.

  • IP address changes each time the router loses power or is reset (Photosmart C7280 printer)

    I have a Photosmart C7280 printer wireless on my home network via a Belkin F6D4230-4 v1 router.  Whenever there is a power failure or the router is reset, a different IP address (in the range of 192.168.2.2 and 192.168.2.9) is assigned to the printer when the router comes back online.   This action requires each computer on the network (in total up to 9 computers) reinstall the driver and reset all the preferences print on each individual computer.   How can I assign a static IP address to the printer recognize the router dealing whenever it resets and not to assign a different address whenever the power goes off (too often in my area)?

    I hope I've provided enough information here.  If more information is needed for a good solution, answer and I can probably more information.

  • My new HP Photosmart Plus printer will not recognize my AT &amp; T U-Verse router wireless

    I am trying to connect my new HP Photosmart Plus printer to my wireless router.  The router works fine with my IPhone and two portable and had no problem of wireless connection to them.  I can't solve the problem.

    Sometimes Internet service providers have more control over the router like the printer.

    -Unplug the Internet line, which runs between the router and the wall
    -Cut the power to the router, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the power.
    -Go through the normal process of the printer connected to the router.
    -Now to find the IP address of the printer (it should be on the self-test printout), type it in a browser.
    -On this screen, you will find a tab management network, then on the left wireless, then the IPv4 tab.
    -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address). If you do not know, use the current IP address.
    -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
    -Enter IP router (on the self-test printout) for the bridge and the first DNS.
    -Let the second white.
    -Click 'apply '.
    -Finally, plug the Internet line, restart the router and the test.

  • Not compatible HP Photosmart C4480 printer ink cartridge

    HI - first time here - I have a HP Photosmart C4480 printer and have recently installed a new black ink cartridge - genuine HP 350XL - bought in Tesco and already used a few times.  I printed a page today, and when I went to another printing, the printer says that the cartridge was incompatible.  I had not touched the printer between the prints. I tried out both cartridges and resettlement but still get the same message.  Also tried to turn again printer.

    I could understand if there was a problem with the cartridge and it was rejected as soon as I installed, but does not understand why this happens between the printing of pages.

    Here a link to a document that addresses this cartridge error message that you get on the printer. It will give you troubleshooting to try in an effort to solve this problem with the printer. I hope this helps. If you reach the end of the document and have done all the solutions proposed by the document, would seek to substitute.

    If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

    What a pleasure to receive a response. Unfortunately, took all the steps without success. You took note of cliqueti noise that continues after all the inspection. I observe that the rattling noise occurs when the transport is on the right side of the printer. When you move the carriage to the left & with a flashlight, I saw a black glob in the extreme right under where the transport would be. What key it seemed to be a deposit of black as ink. Do not think that this isn't the ink as empty cartridge or showing empty.

    The printer has served faithfully for time Believe + 5 years came for the replacement. However, t would be nice to know how this has happened.

    I thank for the help & you can be sure that the replacement will be a model of HP.

  • HP Photosmart C4180 printer and HP Solution Center

    Bought new HP 3500 Pro tour MT series to replace the old tower HP Windows XP.  To use the HP Photosmart C4180 printer that I used with the old tower and have available HP solutions Center.   Data has been transferred from the old disk to the new HP Tower.  Then, I downloaded the printer driver and connected using the USB cable.  The printer will now print and scan but I can't find the HP Solution Center software that I used previously during scanning and photo editing.  I do not remember if I made a basic or complete installation install the driver.  If I do a basic installation and is not software for Solution Center, should I uninstall and reinstall the drivers for this function to work?  Would appreciate a step by step help to solve this problem.  Thank you very much.

    It's very strange that you do not see your printer listed in the list of programs (non - it would not be the framework of Solutions from HP Support).  This leads me to believe that your printer is not actually installed.  If that were the case, you should see something like this (note that I have more printers installed as a regular user )

    So you do not see your HP Photosmart C4180 listed here, then I would go and try to install the full driver.  The instructions in my previous post would be the same, but since you have Windows 7, it would be the right document to guide you through the steps.
