  I've done all the troubleshooting several times, still nothing.

  When I print the printer status report, there are black square brackets around each colour, but not black rectangle in black space.  I tried to copy a printout (no color) and the page is blank.  I cleaned the black cartridge screen gently with a paper towel, still nothing.  I tried 2 new black cartridges.  Printer was working fine, then that.

  I found a solution! My printer was also not print black, but I knew it wasn't a problem of ink because it was a new cartridge, I cleaned the print head with every suggestion I could find, and on the test pages it was printing black in square brackets the colored lines. It was a software problem.  Another post suggested using the drivers replacing for a paper size error. Please see the link below on how to choose replacement drivers...

  I chose HP Photosmart 3300 drivers because this printer had similar features, including wireless printing. It worked! I hope this helps!

  I tried all the recommendations, I could find nothing doesn't.  Head cleaned and followed instructions in the tools of the printer.  I know that many have had this same problem and have found a way to solve the problem.  Any recommendations?

  In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve the black does not print on your Photosmart 7515.  Be sure to check the vents, as on the three solution.

  If the first four solutions do not resolve the problem I would say soak the printhead as described in the post here before considering to replace the print head.

  For some time I have used this printer since black prints only and did not replace the other ink cartridges, because they are empty. I replaced the black cartridge several times and have been perfectly happy with print jobs that I need to do.

  I just replaced the black cartridge again, but I now get blank pages when I try to print jobs. Despite this the printer tells me that the cartridge is full.

  The reason would be that I have have not replaced the other cartridges, or is there something else that could be causing the problem?

  In other words, is it likely that I will be able to solve this problem simply by replacing the other ink cartridges?

  I'm happy here, the printer working once more, sometimes the printer must sit idle to allow ink to zero on its own system. If you have a free moment and would mind not mark the post with troubleshooting as the Solution, this will allow the other members of the community to easily locate

• Photosmart C3150 won't print black

  I just put a new printer cartridges, both black and tricolor. Impression levels register as high, but the black ink will not print. I have had no error message. I did the troubleshooting thing where I cleaned the printheads 3 times, but he has not made a difference.

  I use a Mac with os x.

  ETA: Now I get a "low ink" message when I hit the "print" button, but only for black. It's a brand new ink cartridge from HP that I just installed two days earlier and used to print on a dozen pages! How can it be ink already?

  I changed my black ink cartridge in my HP Photosmart 5514 (CQ183A product number, serial # {Private Information Removed}) and now it won't print black.  The colors work fine, just no black. I have cleaned the print heads, made the secondary allignment page clean, I tried, I turned off and he restared.  I plugged in a new point of sale, I cleaned the printer head and the cartridge. Nothing has worked.  Please help me.  The printer ran out of ink, I bought a new cartridge, I put it, it's what I've done for her.  I have a "genuine HP black ink cartridge 564.  It is not a recharged, refurbished, used, ect. ink, it's brand new.

  Sorry you have a problem with black print do not. This happens usually when the print heads are clogged, damaged, or damaged cartridges.

  You may have bought a bad cartridge. They are sometimes damaged right out of the packaging. It could also be the print head needs to be changed.

  Let's try this steps;

  If there is static interference, or fittings loose with the product, this can result in the bands or lines in the copy by fax or scan. To resolve this issue, check the connections of the product, and then reset the product.

  I'm sorry you have a problem with the printing of certain documents.

  It seems that your printer spooler may have a problem.

  Try to stop and restart.

  1. click on Start Menu

  2. type (Services) in the search bar

  3 scroll down to Printer Spooler

  4. stop and restart.

  what you did may limit the possible cause. at least we know that this problem is caused by excel, below is a workaround solution that you can try:

  Looking at the 'Print Preview', confirms is the black appear or not.

  More top issue will be useful for further refinement.

  Copy / paste from the old file by excellent:

  1. create a new excel file

  2 paste special

  3 'text' only

  4 repeat the format will help.

  C5500 printer is the default printer. I also have an hp c4280 printer that works if I want to print or scan at any time. I checked device drivers and it says they work prperly more, this is the last version of this printer. I used the troubleshooting of microsoft files site and everything out very well, but still does not print. The ink levels are new in the cartridges and the printer paper in the status bar. Internet connection and a connection between the product and the OK computer. I am lost as I bought all printers have been brand HP, and first time I had a problem.  I hope someone can help. • Photosmart Premium 309 a won't print black

  My Photosmart Premium 309 a printer will not print black text. Just imagined colors.

  I tried new cartridges (twice - at great expense!) head cleaning, cleaning deep head, aligning the head and tried to soak the printhead in hot water several times now and then cleaning and deep cleaning again and then yet another new series of cartridges, still no black - not a pinch!

  Would it be a mistake to electrical connection with the contacts? Or is the print head itself a goner - seems such a simple plastic device, ok electronics in contacts can be more complex, but not much to go wrong.

  I don't think I have done something to damage the print head when the occurreed first problem, but with all the plug and put back and soaking in hot water (let dry naturally) I can't guarantee that it is not damaged because, although I was careful and everything seems ok.

  I am also puzzled as to where ink is going on because the black cartridges I used trying to solve this problem have certainly been empty but the ink is not reaching the paper - looks like the blooming thing could swim ink now but it seems pretty clean!

  Any advice welcome.
