• Cannot set a default printer

  This comes in our helpdesk today, and I have absolutely no idea on how to solve this problem.

  -The client has just had new printer Lexmark Pro 915 installed.  Can correctly print a test page for the properties of the printer.
  -Cannot print from Excel.  It is said that no printer is found.
  -L' printer is not marked as default.  When I try to set the default printer, nothing happens.
  -No printer cannot be set as default.  When you try to do, nothing happens.

  -Tried to uninstall the old unused printers from Add/Remove programs.  Restarted the computer.  No effect.

  I'm having a problem with one of the users on my setup of server companies. She is unable to set a default printer and cannot print from Excel 2010 to all.   I bought my new HP Officejet 6700 Premium on February 1, 2013. I use a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop under Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation seems to give no problem. However I'm unable to set the default printer and have the error message 0 x 00000709. Excel, Adobe, Outlook does not allow me to print.

  I spoke to the HP printer Department February 1st and they sent me some software of diagnosis which I sent back. I called again on 6 February and was told my problem was always open and they were trying to reproduce the problem (it appears on the net without a patch work). It is now February 10, and I hope the good people of HP to recall with a solution soon. You try to run a small business with no printer is not ideal.
