  After a month absence black ink print more. I replaced a new cartridge. (all original HP). I followed all the instructions of the diagnostic tools and also suggestions in this forum (cleaning of the printheads, ink to smear, reset), but the problem is not resolved.   Just installed a new print 60xl cartridge to replace the one that was being ink. Now the black ink basically does not print. I cleaned the cartridges 4 times and run all Diagnostics pages. The black prints just a small piece of the upper part of the letters on the pages of diagnostics and in grayscale on the test pages.

  (1) once will open the support page please select the country in which you are

  located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

  (2) then choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the

  bottom of the page "HP Support - Contact" to fill in the form provided

  your contact information.

  (3) Once finished, click the "Show Options" at the bottom right.

  (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select ' Get phone

  Thanks for the reply.  I tried everything you suggested and it still does not work. Stayed for more than an hour on the phone with tech support and they also determined that it is a hardware problem.

  I went through the diagnostic process because my printer gives me a view of alignment failed and my black ink will not print.   It is established that I need to replace the print head.  Is it complicated?  What should I do when I need the printer/fax every day?  I have no time for that computer to be down for a day, and even less for as long as it takes to get the part here and replace it myself.  Or worse, if I send to HP to have the work done.

  Replacement of the print head is not complicated, it can be done in 5 minutes.  Before doing this, you could be sure that the ventilation openings are not connected and you might try to soak the printhead as shown here.

  I understand that you are having problems with the black does not print, you have replaced the printhead to another printer and it prints fine. I want to help you.

  I'm assuming that you used the same cartridges in the print head when you try them in another printer, let me know if you didn't like it.

  Given that the new printhead works in another unit, it seems that it would be a problem with the hardware with the printer and it would need to be repaired.

  I have provided all the documentation for this problem, probably all of the steps have been made previously.

  Photosmart HP B210a more - black ink print do not. Put in a new cartridge even if there is still ink in another cartridge. A cleaned, check printing (only the color has shown), align printer has failed.
  Called customer support told them after that research problem that he said might need replaced print head. Gave me two phone numbers with an exhibit, waste of time with this option. I wanted to know the cost of replacement to see if it is worth)

  If you have already performed the steps in troubleshooting in the paper here I would soak the printhead as described in the post here.  Note that black does not print, alignment to fail.

  My HP deskjet printer that is 2 months warranty, that I recently bought a new HP cartridges for now will not print black (other colors are all very well).
  If have spent hours and hours trying to solve this problem, following all the advice on this forum - believe me, I tried to clean the vent system, cleaning of the print head. The really frustrating thing I had just bought new ink for the machine $60 thrown and now my printer does not print. I'm out $60 and I need to buy a new machine very frustrating and this machine is used very little only occasionally to print some checks and a few emails.

  I promise you that this HP will not be my next choice.

  The message here suggests to call HP Support even if your printer is no longer under warranty if the standard troublehsooting steps do not resolve not black not print on your Deskjet 3520.

  Thanks for the reply and the information

  I suggest you start as a result of this document for Troubleshooting print quality problems, should be able to help you to get black ink works again. If it isn't, you can also try manually cleaning your print head to make sure there isn't a buildup preventing out black ink.

  If the printer still won't print black ink, it is perhaps an accumulation inside the print head or on the beak and to help solve this problem, you can follow the instructions in Bob_Headrick in this post on soak your printhead.

  If after these three things, black is not always print, it's a hardware problem with the printer print head and I suggest to call HP Support and inquire about their exchanges of and the trade program.

• HP Photosmart C7280 black ink does not print

  I am really frustrated.  My printer has indicated that I needed a new black ink cartridge and I bought a new cartridge and put it in.  The level indicates that it is full.  However, when printing, it allows to print all colors EXCEPT black.  I did a self diagnostic Test as well as an alignment cartridges print several times to try to get the black to work, but to no avail.  It prints all other colors, but not black.  I took the black cartridge in a store to check it out and I was told that there is nothing wrong with the cartridge.  I have looked at all areas of technical support, but don't see any advice for this situation.  Has anyone that happen and what is my next step.

  Basically, I took the black ink cartridge, it has left on the desk with the printhead across the street for two hours, wiped it with a wet paper towel (not sure if this is necessary) and reinstalled. I printed a test page, then print a regular page - it was beautiful and my problem was solved!

  I've had the printer for less than 2 years 6520 and black stopped printing. I did all the instructions on the screen for troubleshooting, and still it does not work.
