I have a HP printer and it has a card reader... Declined just to know if ayone knows if he is able, if deleting some photos off the card.  Or is there any software that I can get to do it through the printer.

Thanks in advance

Hi @THC123

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you are curious to know what you can do with the reader of card on your printer. I would like to help.

It is really limited in what we can do. You can remove photos from the display of printers. If I had known what printer model you have I could get the User Guide.

HP does not have any software, but you can access the SD card in your computer. You may be able to format it or delete items.

From the front of the printer, click the WiFi icon, the IP address is displayed.

Since your PC access to intellectual property by launching the dialogue run, what can be done by clicking Start > run or start > all programs > Accessories > run...

Type- and the IP address in the Run dialog box and click OK. (e.g. \\10.0.0.1) and click OK.
Right-click the memory_card folder, and then select network drive mapping...
Be sure to check the reconnect at logon option...
Then the card reader will appear as a driver in the computer...

Has taken these steps of a reply by ShlomiL. You can view the complete wire here.

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. If they did, it's great! Give us some reinforcements by pressing buttons of solution and laurels, that we will help and others see that we have the answers!

Microsoft did not your hardware - done HP.

All support for it - regardless of your operating system - is the manufacturer of the equipment.

  • How to use your printer as a memory card reader

Have you ever wanted to open the files in the memory card reader, on the printer, with the (Windows) computer?

Is the printer connected via Ethernet or wireless?

    * If the answer to both of these questions is YES, then this is the solution for you.

First step: find the host name of the network printer

    • Print the printer Network Configuration report
    • In the upper field, more information, locate the host name of the printer

Second step: right-click on computer or workstation

Step 3: Select map network drive

Step 4: select an available drive letter

Fifth step: path or a folder, enter: \\hostname\Memory_Card , then press on finish or Ok

Now, you can open the assigned drive letter and find the files on the card memory or USB connected to the printer.

  • SD card reader does not.

My NC6320 has a card reader for SD-MS/PRO forward. MMC SM. XD cards.

    OS = XP Pro + SP3

It seems not work when an SD card is inserted as nothing presents itself as a "disk of abduction" as if when I insert a USB external hard drive or flash drive.

What advice it to check if it works or any software or drivers necessary. And where in the devices.

    Thank you

    @Paul

    Hello

You can see the solution below.

Uninstall your current driver for the card reader Texas.

Now install the Texas Instruments Driver sp38607 ver 2.0.0.8 card reader has

    Note:

If there is not any option for standard uninstalation then download the current print driver installation file and run it.

You should see options to uninstall the driver.

  • Office Jet 8620: cannot use the 3 USB sd card reader

trying to hook up a generic USB 3 SD card reader to the USB port of the printer, but it does not identify all the photos on the SD card. Is there a way around this problem?  IM surprised this printer only has as basic thing as a reader of SD cards on this subject.

    Hi @drinternet,

Make sure that they are formatted in Fat32, if they are not already, that should work.

    Thank you.

  • Memory card reader

I have a Pavillion s5202f who had card readers normally drive h: and on my printer Photosmart 2750 I.:  After checking a memory card, I used "Eject" before the withdrawal of the card.  Now, card readers are not displayed and there is no AutoPlay to insert a card (the card works in another computer, so it is not the problem).  I tried to go to Device Manager and it does not show something like "generic card reader" discussed in the FAQ.  I also tried a diagnosis with the HP Support Assistant, and it does not appear to look at the card reader.  Any suggestions on how to reactivate the card reader (s)?

You can try to remove the USB root hub in Device Manager. They will repopulate when you restart and maybe find the card reader then.

  • SD CARD READER DOESN'T WORK?

I have a HP Probook 4520 s OS Windows 7 Pro. It has a slot for a card reader on the front of the laptop but when I insert the memory card from my camera Kodak EasyShare (LEXAR Media 64 MB) nothing happens. Options no Autoplay, nothing shown when I select "computor", search for devices, etc., ziltch. Am I able to use this card in the machine? Previously, in my last laptop, I had to insert the card into my 4 in 1 printer and transmit the photos wirelessly. Also, I have a usb connection for my camera but trying for the easy fast way. Is this possible?

    Your help would be appreciated.

    Thank you, Toni.

    Hi Aaron,

I solved my problem with the SD card reader. I received my neighbouring camera SD card and it worked the first time. My laptop installed a driver and AutoPlay popped up on the right. After that when I insert my card it is now works fine. Hope this might help someone else who had the same problem. Thanks for your comments.

    Kind regards

    Toni.

  • Must restart to use the SD card reader

Often, the card (pre-installed, internal) flash on my HP Pavilion reader refuses to recognize SD cards when I plug it into its slot. The only solution I've found so far is to reboot Vista.

Don't know if it would occur with other types of memory flash as I did not test it with. The external USB ports work fine with readers flash USB, printer, etc. so the problem seems to be specific to the card reader and is not a generic USB problem. Other debug info:

    1. I have 2 SD cards. Both work 100% fine in my digital camera.

    2. the USB connection and contact card reader seem ok.

3 device Manager says that all my USB-associated drivers are up to date.

Do not restart to solve a hardware problem, so I figure it's a driver or a matter of Vista. But I'm not sure where to go from here.

I got "the update does not apply to your system." (And FWIW, Windows Update says "Windows is up-to-date" and I have daily automatic update enabled.)

However, I have noticed a few related "what others are downloading" updates, which has successfully installed. (I have them below list reference of others.) The 3rd is USB driven.) I rebooted and you have tested on and off for a few hours now, and the problem has not recurred. If things remain that way, I'm going to 'mark as answer.

    Thank you.

  • Photosmart 8450: Does the Photosmart 8450 under Windows 7 64-bit card reader work?

Under Windows XP 32 bit card on my Photosmart 8450 network reader appeared as a network drive in Windows Explorer. Now that I've migrated to Windows 7 64 bit I get no network drive and if I put an SD card in the drive I get a 'map' mistake of access on the display panel. It is to be expected with the built-in drivers for Win 7? If so, is there no work around?

    Hello

Thanks for the reply and sorry for not getting back sooner. Been strongly concerned about the end.

I just find the solution to both problems.

    1. the card reader does not accept SD - HC cards. When I put an ordinary SD it worked fine.

2 network drive mapping could not find the printer, even if I can print to it without any problems. I had recently also changed the router and discovered that the IP assigned to the printer was within the range of IP addresses assigned by DHCP. Changed static address to + 1.  Still did not work; posted in printer address was unidentifiable. Sitched printer, pulled ethernet cable outlet, turned on, plugged the ethernet cable. Bingo! The network drive works now.

Z: / designates a position is not available. Could be a hard drive of this computer or in a net... etc.

    Thank you

    Hi Pier29,

I want to help you with this. Follow the steps I found posted by @pcwizard

Follow these steps to map the card reader

    1. Insert the memory card into the printer
    2. open my computer
    3. click on network drive mapping
4 Select the letter of the drive you want and enter the folder \\192.168.1.101\memory_card

Note: replace the 192.168.1.101 with the IP address assigned to your printer.

    5. click on finish, and the Player opens for access to the files

If it still does not work, look at the following memory card troubleshootingdocument. If however this does not resolve the problem, please let me know, thanks. I cross my fingers.

  • (How to set up printing) recipe cards

I want to duplicate old recipe of my mom cards and give as gifts sets.  I can make a picture of color on each side of the card stock, then cut out a.  But I need a performance much better (there are a lot of cards).  I want to:

    -Do more than a 3 x 5 card on each stock card 8 x 11

-Set up to print multiple cards in a 'race '.

I tried the 'booklet' option and may have two cards printed on a single sheet map, but it is backwards.  When I try to do more than 2 cards, the forwards and the backs are not always of the same card.  There are as many elements to put in place that I'm going in circles, try things without understanding what I'm asking the computer to do.

    Ingredients:

    -Adobe Acrobat X Pro

-The file has one side of a card (3 x 5) on each page.  Thus, for example, the first page is 1-front card and the second page is 1 - back card.  Images have all been cropped to capture the original map, defects, spills and all.  For a card that has nothing on the back, I inserted a blank page for the back, so all odd pages are a front of the card, and all even-numbered pages are a card back (with a picture or a cache).

    -Windows 7

    -HP Office Jet Pro 8620

    Hello

Acrobat is not a booklet or a card Designer, but it has print booklet option, please refer to this document KB printed booklets | Acrobat, Reader for better under the impression of the brochure.

    Kind regards

  • Lightning to a resolution of the camera the incompatible SD card reader image

I use the lightning to drive camera SD card with my iPhone 6 more (iOS 9.3.5) and MacBook Pro running Photos:

    Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Digital camera RAW 6.20 (856)

Digital Camera Support RAW 6200 (233)

Import RAW files from my Olympus EM10 on my iPhone, and then when I discovered the images in the Photos on my Mac I see incompatible resolution information.

These are two consecutive images taken with identical settings...

Drag the two images of Photos on my desktop (export in JPEG) then they have the correct resolution information...

Also interesting. If I import these pictures directly on my Mac via the built in card reader, I do not see this problem.

OK - when you import on an IOS device (the exact details are better ask in the forum iPad since it does not involve the Mac or Photos for the Mac somehow - it's strictly an IOS feature) in certain circumstances the maximum resolution is 2400 x 3200

Your best solution is to import directly to your Mac

You should be able to remove them. I can't tell you for sure because I don't have a reader, but I suspect that the photos will land at film and anything in Czech Republic, you can remove the iPad.

As for your second question, Yes. You can make Albums on the iPad. The albums will contain only pointers, the photos will remain in film in order not to remove it. The albums will be more enjoyable you can rearrange the order of the pictures by dragging them.

  • El Capitan has taken my SD card reader

Since my upgrade to El Capitan last week, my sd card reader does not work. She is not in the hardware. I did the reset where you unplug for 30 seconds. I did the control + apple + r + thing p and the card reader worked for only a few days. I can't do nvram and smc reset whenever I want to use the card reader, and I hate to use an external USB card reader.

My card reader works fine on my 2011 27 "iMac. Have you tried using different cards, and if so have you seen changes?

If for any reason, you are card reader does not work, then buy a card reader external USB and that should work well.
