• LaserJet Pro 400 - change location

  I have a HP LaserJet MFP M475dw 400 Pro color, I've first turning on it he asked for the language and location, I got right to the language and the bad situation that I was not used to the touch screen. In any case, changing the language is easy, however it seems impossible to alter the location! "Reset default" does not help and or not "the NVRAM initialization!

  Does anyone know how to change the location please? So far this has completely baffled me!

  I am also not sure of the impact, it seems to be cosmetic, but it may influence the function of fax, I guess?

  Right, now that the HP support helped me to find the answer, it seems I should post here in case others have the same problem. To change the location of the printer, you must do the following:

  (1) make sure that the product is in ready state.
  2) press the Setup button.
  (3) simultaneously press the arrow key to the left and the Cancel button.
  4) press the Setup button again.
  (5) open the 2ndry Service menu.
  (6) use the arrow keys to scroll the location
  (7) select the country and then press OK.

  The left arrow is on the left of the main screen in the Middle, and the Cancel button is on the bottom right. So see exactly where the arrow pointing to the left and the Red Cross are, turn off your printer, and then on again, the boot sequence displays them.

  This worked for me. So thank you HP Support.

  Hi Erik,

  Open Acrobat

  Go in Edition > Preferences > language

  In the language pane

  Click on the drop down for Application Language, and select the option choose to start the Application

  Click Ok, and then close the application

  Launch Acrobat even once, it will give you a drop-down list to select the language

  In case, you do not see the language you want and are available with Acrobat

  Then go to the control panel

  Add or remove programs

  Select Acrobat Pro from the list and click on edit

  The Acrobat dialog box, you will get 3 option modify, repair or remove

  Select change and following

  Then on the next window

  Click on the front sign of languages +.

  Click on the arrow down to the language you want to install, and then select the 2nd option and install

• LaserJet Pro 400 M401n: How to set the margins for binding up and left for LaserJet Pro 400 M401n

  I am connected to ePremis (medical site) that allows me to print the selected medical forms. ePremis uses the default printer to print the selected form.  The selected form should be printed on a preprinted form that I load into the tray of the printer.

  The problem is that ePremis does not provide an option to set gutter margins and print aligns correctly with my pre-printed form. The print position is a little weak and must also be shifted a little to the left. I need to reduce the high binding margin to move the position of superior print on the page and the left binding margin must also be reduced to move the print a little position to the left so that the printed data will properly align with my pre-printed form.

  Since ePremis does not offer an option to set the margins of the gutter, I need to be able to set the margins of the gutter through the printer driver, but there is also no option provided by the printer driver dialog box to set the margins of the gutter.  :-(

  Is it possible to set the printer LaserJet Pro 400 gutter margins?  I see the margins left and right options in the driver dialog box printer, but they are grayed out and cannot be changed.

  I have another printer, Kyocera laser printer, and I don't have this problem with the Kyocera because it offers the possibility to set gutter margins in the printer driver dialog.  I wonder why the LaserJet Pro 400 does not provide this option?

  I perhaps could solve this problem by sending PCL6 commands to the printer before printing?  I'm a programmer and am open to this option if it would work.

  Setting margins generally depends on demand - but (you say) that your application does not allow this.

  Some printers provide functionality of saving images , whereby the position of the image of the page onto a physical sheet can be adjusted to the printer, usually on a basis of by-tray.

  For example, with my Laserjet Pro MFP color 400 M475dn, the appropriate menu/menu item is described as follows:

  In addirion, I soved the second problem to make the printer wireless. It does not at first either! You had to do women tweeking due to problems of Web Services. Cound not print. PC and printer communicate not when even the printer says connected!  Some of the Web Services and then closed the connection to the Pc? Printer worked. Zi printed e-mail immediately to test Okay!   We have a years M401 of printer HP LaserJet Pro 400 series(touch screen model), a fo our former employee requested a password. Nobody knows this password and need to change the IP address of the printer.

  I'm looking to do a factory reset. What I found on the user guide, the procedure would be:

  Restore the default values set in the factory (touch panel)
  1. from the home screen on the product control panel, press the Setup button.
  2. highlight and press the Service menu.
  3. highlight and press the default button and then press the OK button.
  The product automatically restarts.

  The problem is that when I touch "service" menu, the password prompt prevents me from going to the next menu. Is there another way to do a factory reset on this printer? A button physics somewere? Something to do with the power button may be?

• LaserJet Pro 400 M451nw: Laserjet Pro 400 prints documents upside down

  My Laserjet Pro 400 prints documents upside down.  This only happens when you print in black and white, and from certain applications.  Files PDF and Word documents print very well, as plain txt files and files from my accounting software, but files CorelDraw and images in Photoshop CS5 reverse print.

  If I saved a CorelDraw file in PDF format, it will print correctly, but not the native file of COR.

  From Photoshop, it makes no difference what file format I print - jpeg, tif or even a file not saved - all printed reversed if I select black and white.

  Colour printing is fine for all applications.

  Like most of my needs to print b & w, I the printer defined as it as default and just change color when the need arises, but it means I lose lots of toner if I don't remember to print in color in CorelDraw or Photoshop.  Printing an image to grayscale in color also gives the evil eye.

  Any help appreciated.

  Try to use a PCL5 driver, which is likely to solve such a.

  First, open the control panel > devices and printers, right click on the printer and select printer properties.

  Open the Ports tab, and take note of the path selected for the printer, and then close this dialog box.

  Download and install the driver HP UPD PCL5, follow the installation by selecting the traditional model.

  Follow the wizard of printwr indicated by selecting the same port as used by the original and complete its installation driver.

  Once you have finished, try to print using the HP Universal printing PCL 5 driver and check for the difference.

• LaserJet pro 400 m401 will not pick up paper

  My laserjet pro 400 m401 will pick up paper from the tray. I have not changed the paper I use. It's # 20 at Georgia-Pacific paper. The printer has not been dropped or abused. If anything, we have treated the printer very carefully and gently. Therefore, I suspect any damage physical/mechanical/electronic. The feed roller makes a squeaking/squealing noise when it runs. The printer then times out and the screen displays the message "no paper pickup. All stop there.

  I fixed it myself! One of the springs two compression at the end of the paper closest to the front of the printer tray became weaker. I've removed, carefully strained it and reinstalled it, and it works as good as new.

  We have here at the hospital have a number of HP Pro 400 color printers. We are having issues has to do with jobs down the margin of the book right and sometiens on the left margin. Looks like it will not clear until we replace all tonics, not only the origin of the problem. I must be missing something in my diagnosis. The answers to this question?

  No answers, but you have a strange situation.

  Tasks are normally a cartridge, but if you change this cartridge in a new cartridge does the same I would not have a good explanation for this.

  The only issue I have is that are these reloaded cartridges?

  And I guess a follow-up question would be if say the yellow cartridge was leaving tasks and you succeeded him and then had to replace all the others to make the new cartridge yellow stop to let tasks what happens if you put the original yellow cartridge in?

  Sorry, please answer my question in the forum somewhere but I can't find.

  Since I got my new LaserJet Pro 400 MFP I can print is no longer things such as my weekly payroll tax receipts.  I use Google Chrome.  When I try to print, I get only the options to 'Save' or 'Cancel' so I have to save it, then go to My Documents, find it and print it out.  I would really like to continue to use Google Chrome, so it's an another printer driver that I need to use?  Thank you!

  You need not of any other driver, just point Google chrome to the right pair...

  Google chrome opens the print dialog box, and then press the button change.
  Select your printer from the list instead of the default save as PDF option and try to print again.

  IM unable to have paper paper feed use.

  I can scan with the scanner bed and there select the paper letter correctly, but when I try to use the paper feed its still legal size

  Ive has restored to the default factory settings, but still the problem persists.

  How can I make the change to have select letter size.

  Just bought my new macbook air and may not know how to change the language of the keyboard. I installed 2 languages that work correctly, but every time I want to spend, I go to the menu bar, next to the battery and change it manually. The problem is that "command and options" work or "command and space" or "command options and space." And I can't understand how to use the sources of entry system preferences to configure the shortcut to change language. Could someone help?

  In El Capitan this shortcut has been changed to control more space.  You can still assign it what you want in the system prefs/keyboard/shortcuts.
