HP Probook 4320 s support SSD?

My laptop HP Probook 4320 s drive Self Test faild, probably, I buy new HARD drive. Can I use an SSD for my laptop?

Thank you

Hello

Yes, you can use SSDS for your laptops. Many of them around now and in theory, that each of them should work but my suggestion please try Crucial, SanDisk, Samsung. I don't know why I can't use Intel and many trials Kingston.

Kind regards.

I couldn't find one in the warehouse so I did not test this.

Contact HP and they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

  • ProBook 4720 s replacement SSD HARD drive

    Hello.

The hard drive in my ProBook s 4720 died recently and I would like to replace it with an SSD. Some computers are known to have a "white list" incorporated in their bios of the materials they will accept. Before I have to buy the new drive, I would like to know if it will work with my computer.

the model I have in mind is:

    Samsung 840 TLC base 120 GB (MZ-7TD120BW)

    Than you for your answers.

It should not be a reason any, that it wouldn't work. I have install third party SATA SSD in HP laptops all the time without any problems.

One caveat with the 4720 s given it is a XP - era system - if you haven't done so already, upgrade to Windows 7. Earlier versions of Windows do not support for SSD TRIM functions, which can lead to the degradation of performance and service life deteriorated as well as potential data security issues when you use SSDS.

  • How to move iTunes to support SSD drive on secondary disk files

    Hello

I think the title pretty much everything said. My SSD drive app fills and although I have three drives in my desktop Mac PRO somehow the artwork & mobile apps are like 20 gigs. The music files are in a secondary drive. What is the best way to move all the files to support the HUGE secondary disk so I don't understand all of a sudden the dreaded exclamation point?

    Thank you

    Enio

    10.11.4 running

In essence, you must keep the support files in the folder as the iTunes music files, then let iTunes knows where they are located.

It is better than the iTunes folder everything will be moved to the external drive, not just the music and media files. The link below is instructions on how to do it properly. You "partially" here, but you should still be able to follow them, to make the move.

  • Tecra R850 - support SSD SATA 6.0 GB III

    Hello.

    I bought R850 with SSD.
The bad news is that SSD 256 GB installed is limited to SATA II with up to 300/Mo transfer. I read that Sandy Bridge supports SATA III, which covers 600/Mo.

Is someone installed successfully the best able with SATA3 SSD drive?

I tried Sisoft Sandra and it reported that the SSD SATA is II, the same for the motherboard. The HwINFO reported that this chipset is compatible with SATA 3. Everest shows that SSD SATA 2 data.

It's the bios locked for higher transfers? I got 180 MB/s read, 150 MB/write - what is 3 x worse than normal SATA 3 SSD 256 GB hard disks.

Can someone help me and tell - if it's the bios R850? or only the old SSD Toshiba firmware? If I buy the best SSD with SATA3 - it will fully support higher speed?

    Best regards
    Tomi2012

    Hello

I don't know Mr. what portable R850-xxx you but as far as I know, this series is equipped with one for the (Sandy Bridge) Intel i3/i5/i7 CPU.
The phone also supports either Intel Cougar Point QM67 (model TN) or HM65 (model no - AMT). The two supports SATA II (3 Gb/s) and SATA III (6 Gb/s)

But for example, if the host interface is 300 MB/s, you get experienced data reading: Max 250 MB/s and write data to sustain: Max 160 MB/s

I recently ordered this ssd sata m2 of amazon, but I'm not sure its compatible with my system - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TGIW1XG?psc=1 & redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00.

Its a Samsung 850 500 GB M.2 3.5 inch SSD Form Factor 80nm.  Can I use in a configuration to double for my laptop with the current 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive already in the system?  Or do I have to use one or the other?  Or can I select a smaller SSD storage for a double configuration?  I have to talk to a technician and he said my system does not support a 128 GB ssd and it did not indicate if it is a double or a single disk configuration.  In my view, it is difficult to imaging a new desire to 2015 with an i7 Quad Core skylake 6700HQ processor supports only a meagre 128 GB SSD.  Any ideas on what my system can support?

I can verify that it works very well. I had HP technology insist that I could use only one hard disk and a maximum capacity of 128 GB. The technicians don't know squat. I use now a configuration double with the operating system and my programs on my 850 m2 sata evo III 500 GB SSD and my data (videos, music and photos) files on the preinstalled 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive.

  • HP Probook 4320 s

I recently bought a Grade a + (essentially a model ex-affichage) HP Probook s 4320, and I had some problems installing Windows XP on it.  I tried to use the drivers that came with my HP Probook 4520 s, but some of them did not work.  I was wondering if someone could tell me the make and model of the following in this regard:

    • Graphics card
    • Ethernet network card
    • Wireless network card
    • Bluetooth

The number of my HP Probook s 4320 product is XX826EA #ABU.

I would be very greatfull if someone could help me with this.

He can have three different graphics cards: integrated Intel or two different models of ATI. Do you know how to get a Device Manager device ID?

    It's Realtek gigabit ethernet.

    Try this:

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 13 & PFid = 5 & Level = 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

This driver is the top of the marked page XP and Winserver 2003

The wireless can also be one of several versions. If it has bluetooth is probably the

RALink RT3090BC4 WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 HS Combo adapter and this is supposed to be the Windows Xp driver for that:

    http://www.MiniPCI.biz/80211n/wper101gn%28bt%29/WPER-101GN%28BT%29_wlan_bluetooth_drv.zip

Display the device ID and we can get you the right drivers. I'm not asking why XP? The rest of the world is moving in the other direction and you will lose any memory installed on 3 concerts.
