HP ProBook 470 G1 - I can add a SSD?
The model number is F3K33PA #ABG and has a Seagate 750 GB (ST750LM022-HN-M750MBB). Windows 8.1
Can I replace the HDD with a SSD, because most SSD seems to 7 mm and the HARD drive is 9.5 mm?
Hello
Yes you can, 7.5 mm THAT SSD will come with a soft plastic/rubber and shoud frame perfectly. Worst case, at least 4 screws will keep in place or worse, worst case, will make a piece of Blu-Tack :
Kind regards.

Hello
mSata differs from SATA, and there SSD that are msata and SATA SSD. You will need to decide how you want yourself. If you want an msata player then it will go into the ports of m you have shown, but if you want a SATA SSD then you connect just like disk main HARD that is there now is also a SATA type.

You can add an internal SSD to the envy of HP 750 - 197c Desktop that has a 2 TB drive installed?
DMSIceman, welcome to the forum.
Yes, you can move the HARD disk and install an SSD. You will need to buy at least a 128 GB SSD. Here is the data sheet for the computer.
The best way to install an SSD is to leave the current HARD drive as it came from the factory. Connect the SSD drive to another SATA port on the motherboard. Install the software of Migration data provided by the SSD manufacturer on the HARD drive. Once installed, open it and follow the instructions carefully. You choose the SSD as a target. After the data is transferred from the HDD to the SSD, you can disconnect the HARD drive and start the computer. It should start on the SSD. Then, you can disconnect the SSD to the first SATA connector and move to another Bay HARD drive and connect it to another SATA port on the motherboard. You can use it for storage.
I like the SSD Samsung EVO. Samsung offers its data Migration software to clone HARD drive. In addition, they provide their software Wizard to optimize the performance of the SSD. You can find all the software at the bottom of the page in the link I provided for the EVO. The Samsung SSD were good about starting in HP computers without changing the BIOS settings. You will need to buy an adapter to allow the reader to 2.5 "to fit into a 3.5 Bay".

I would like to add an ssd for my pavilion dv7
Hey
I own a pavilion dv7 4050eb, and I'm looking to add an ssd.
It has 2 compartments to put a hard drive in my notebook, is currently being used, and the second is empty.
So I thought that it would not be a problem.
But when I went to my local computer specialty store (where I bought this laptop), they told me I will not work if the cable connection for a second hard drive and support was not provided with my laptop (which is you case) because they can't get those of HP, no matter how hard they try.
Is there really no way that HP can provide these simple parts (cable and support)?
And if I could get those, would there be any problems whith install an ssd in this specific book? Thanks in advance.
You can find the part number for the hard disk hardware kit in the guide Service & maintenance dv7. You can order the part of sellers online or directly from HP online parts store.
Hard disk hardware kit (not shown, includes right and left mounting rails,)
cable connector, Mylar cover with tab, 4 screws and 4 rubber Insulators) HP p/n 605415-001Yes, you can add a SSD. Your laptop might even have been bought with a SSD when ordered online.

ProBook 470 4: G4 470 Probook HD-support
I'm about to order a probook 470 G4 with 256 GB SSD. I want to add the hard drive of my old laptop has died to add some disk space in case I need it (I have the disk anyway). Watching the service manuals for G3 and G4 of the Probook 470 versions I see 2 different numbers for media:
In the G3 manual I see 828147-001, it says in the manual of G4 906002-001. Part numbers for him are however the same for both revisions of the 470. This suggests that it is the same or similar part.
I can't find the number for the G4 online (except Eastern Europe). the G3 version however is available here in the Netherlands. can someone explain the difference? The 828147-001 will fit in the G4?
When all else fails, look at the photos-G4 and G3
Just as I described above, these devices are similar because they are a rectangular metal frame that is screwed on a hard disk of 2.5 inch laptop, but they are different. See how the mounting holes and flanges are different? They mount in the chassis of the laptop in different ways. You could maybe take a set of slender beak clips and remove the small clamps and sealants and make one of these work in space designed for each other, but which would defeat the purpose of firmly bolting the drive hard to the framework so it transfers the shock on the framework and not on your hard drive.

HP ProBook 470 G3: HP ProBook 470 G3 HDD Support
Hello people,
I bought a HP ProBook 470 G3 and I'm trying to insert a second hard drive in the laptop. The first disc is a SSD M2. I discovered that there is no support inside the laptop, so I can't provide hard drive.
I found the material to drive HARD HP 828147-001 Kit, but then I have two different media. One with three screws and the other with four screws. I need one with the four screws.
I hope one of you can help me to find the good one which gets back in my book.

I have a laptop HP Probook 4540 s Notebook Pc with processor i5 to 3230 m (2.6 GHz) and Intel HD Graphics 4000. I use 4 GB of RAM.

Can I do it?
If so, how? Please explain!LOVE_DREAM wrote:
Is there another way to use a graphics card?Hello
He already has a video chip (card). As mentioned above, no way you can add an external video card in your machine. In fact, there is a way that requires the following steps:
buy a new motherboard that supports an external video card.
(b) buy a new video card,
(c) buy a new cooling system,
(d) you may need new power supply (charger)
And at the end of the day, your machine may NOT work as you dream and the total cost would be more than the price of a new, better computer.
Hope this is what explains a bit more.
Kind regards.

HP ProBook 470 G3: upgrade memory and storage in the HP ProBook 470 G3 17.3 "
Hello
I would like to buy HP ProBook 470 G3 17.3 "after reading the review of this laptop in Notebookcheck.net site,
The laptop has a large 17.3 display, I think in ZBook but is too expensive so I need Quadro GPU or CPU high range this ProBook G3 17.3 "is the best choice as I thought... by the way
My question on the model with the product number: T6D90UT
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-6500U with Intel HD Graphics 520 (2.5 GHz, up to 3.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, 4 MB cache, 2 hearts)
RAM: 8 GB of SDRAM DDR3-1600 (1 x 8 GB)
Internal drive: 1 TB 5400 RPM SATA
Display: 17.3 '' diagonal backlit flat antireflection FHD LED (1920 x 1080)
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M340 - 2048 MB, Core: 1021 MHz, memory: 1000 MHz, DDR3, 64 bit interface
Website of notebookcheck and HP site says the laptop has DDR3-1600
While the HP parts store said that the portable DDR3L?
Memory module 8 GB 1600 MHz, DIMM DDR3L PC3L-12800 (SHARED)
Reference number: 693374-001
Visit this link please
It's great so far but what make me confuse is the price of RAM, there are two parties with the same name, the two net price is $209.00 (it's too expensive there technical error or what)
I can buy 16G. B (8 x 2) Kit from Newegg in the 57 to 100 such as price range below
Priced at $ 69.99
Case latency: 9
Time: 9-9-9-24
Voltage: 1.35v
Multi-channel Kit: Dual Channel Kit
Model #: CMSX16GX3M2B1600C9
Item #: N82E16820233587
But I say that if I could, but the same part in HP it will be better for the stability and the use of long date because the series HP's ProBook made with too many test and the part use inside, he is selected to make the laptop to run higher stability.
If the price is right and it's expensive so can I but the corsair with latency case kit Timing: 9-9-9-24 and tension: 1.35v, is also the RAM inside the laptop DDR3L with voltage: 1.35v
Another question if I want to use the SSD for the system slot m2 inside the laptop only used there not I think to buy
SSD Samsung 950 PRO - Series 256 GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 SSD internal 2 inches MZ-V5P256BW
and as a primary partition for the windows system and the 1 TB drive will be secondary disk for my files is that fine or the laptop works with some LAGS and slow.
Here is the Service Manual:
It has doors on the bottom so is very easy to upgrade. It takes DDR3L-1600 low voltage (1.35) up to 2 x 8 modules for total 16 concerts. It is the specified memory:
8 GB (PC3L-12800 1600 MHz, DDR3L) 670034-001
It has a slot of the WSSD m2 using modules with this form factor:

ProBook 470 G2: Probook 470 G2
Dear HP
After the installation of Win 7, two unsolve problems
1. a PCI driver cannot detect
2. the function and F9 and F10 key cannot adjust the brightness of the screen.
Please help to solve. I already try the solution below.
Hello:
You need this driver for the dev of pci.
http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_146748_1
Have you installed the applicable graphic driver for your laptop?
You will not be able to adjust the brightness of the screen, unless the graphics driver is installed.
If you have installed the graphics driver, then the only other suggestion I can offer would be to install the Hotkey Support driver if you have not already done so.

HP ProBook 470 G1: Recommendations HP Support Assistant
HPSA has recently informed me that it is recommended I have install the following SoftPaq: SP64824, SP67047, SP68293, SP63779 and SP66915 on my ProBook 470 G1 laptop. When I try to use HPSA application to download and install the SP, downloads take forever and eventually crash or download timeout. I searched on HP support download page in vain to find MS above to try and download and upgrade and do not use the HPSA application. Can someone direct me to where I can find of MS above driver to download directly on the site of HP?
Looks like a glitch in HPSA. I searched several of these MS and found nothing. They can even be SP who were fired for one reason or another. Not sure why HPSA is always 'return' as available.
