HP Probook 6570b: Virtualization on a HP ProBook 6570b

I tried to get a shape any of virtualization software running on my notoebook to move forward on the new Windows OS.

I tried Virtualbox, virtual Windows and VMWare workstation machine and they all keep wanting to turn on NX\DX in the BIOS. I was in the BIOS, a number of times and it is activated. I've already updated my BIOS to the latest version.

What's new? This has been a very frustrating issue. All the forums say that allowing virtualization in the BIOS solves this problem.

All solutions?

In fact, I found the solution yesterday and was about to post this morning.

What I found in all forums, it was that DEP should be disabled in BIOS, well, this isn't the case here. Once I checked the enable DEP in BIOS, everything started to work properly.

I was very surprised that it worked.

  • How to enable virtualization on ProBook 6465 b

I manage an activation of virtualization technology on ProBook 6465 b (a6-3410mx amd) operating with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 Edition.

In the bios "virtualization technology" is disabled but also grayed out and I can't enable it.

(for my amaizment! "I know that warranty hp etc to lock certain things but virtualization?)

My bios version is currently 68LTU F.20

I see there is a new bios (F.21) available already, but ususally bios update does not change the security settings, so my guess is that apply the update won't do this setting available for change (or is it?)

I need to enable it so I can run operating systems virtual 64 bit (in vmware)

Since I can't do that in the bios, I tried enabling the option via powershell, but it won't work, it seems that the bios with 'hide' or 'see'-level security settings cannot be changed hollow powershell, only parameters that have the "change" can be changed.

(I could have live with a solution like this, moves, run a powershell script to activate before I start a virtual machine)

    Anyone else having this problem?

Is there a solution, should I try to update the bios or y at - it another way to make available virtualization?

Nevermind, frame through powershell has worked, I just needed to restart the laptop. Once I give the command to enalbe via powershell and restart next time you start first of all there is a screen 'he asked virtualization on this computer technology must be enabled, you want to allow it?' and the Yes buttons - no

If anyone has the same problem and would like to enable virtualization using powershell can contact me and I'll give instructions

The following code can be used if you know your path with powershell:

    Function SetVirtuModeEnable {}
    $bios = get-WmiObject - Namespace root/hp/instrumentedBIOS - class HP_BIOSSettingInterface
$bios. SetBIOSSetting ('Security BIOS Reset to factory default', 'YES')
$bios. SetBIOSSetting ("virtualization technology level of security", "change")
$bios. SetBIOSSetting ("Virtualization Technology for Directed i/o", "enable")
    $bios. SetBIOSSetting ("Virtualization Technology', 'Activate'")
    }

  • HP ProBook 6570b: sim

I inserted a telstra sim card in the laptop (HP ProBook 6570b) and nothing happens. I went through the Manager connection HP and had no luck. I called Telstra who explained that there should be an option so that it does not connect to the internet via the high WWAN mobile broadband or modem connection and there is no other choice.

After 2 hours on the phone with telstra and sharing the connection for about 30 minutes, the conclusion was that this laptop is not implemented for this sim connection and mentioned that there is a modem... I didn't belive it. the laptop has a place to insert the sim card so surly he is set up for this and it must have a modem? Help, please.

    Hello

We believe this: you definitely need the WWAN module. Only SIM card will not do anything. Did you purchase this option? What is your "HP ProBook 6570b". Please follow the instructions below to find the product/model of your machine:

I use ProBook 6570 b after update, with Win 7 Profesional 64 b (a second) i'm running a bios F.62 Rev.A April 7, 2015, that I got from HP support web site. I activated the VTx in bios but its seems that this is not enabled (the Microsoft virtualization detection tool used).

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi, it fixed by uninstalling Avast antivirus, does not help turn it off, you must uninstall it.

  • Audio for defective helmet for probook 6570b

    Hello

    I have the 6570b s. I run Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

When I play using the headphone jack audio, the audio sound horribly distorted. It is not my headphones as my headset works fine on other devices.

My colleague, who also has a probook 6570b has exactly the same problem.

I tried updates driver on the internet, but my audio driver is the latest driver.

I also ran updates with HP support assistant, and I'm updating.

According to the HP support assistant my audio and sound devices are:

1 IDT High Definition Audio CODEC, status: ACTIVE, pilot: stwrt64.sys, Version 6.10.6392.0

2 Intel(r) Audio display, status: ACTIVE, pilot: IntcDAud.sys, Version 6.14.0.3090

    Help, please.

Problem is the Jack HP used in this book. You use the headphones without microphone pin Jack.

The photo below left only a helmet of 'Trust' works without a problem...

Is not to solve this problem, but help you make the right choice in buying a new helmet...

  • 4730 proBook s: what version of the BIOS allows the activation of virtualization technologies?

I use Oracle VirtualBox with 7 VM Linux on my ProBook 4730 of s (OS is Windows 7 64 bit). Somewhere around the BIOS update F.20 my machines virtual Linux no longer works, because of virtualization technology has not been enabled in the BIOS. I tried to enable it in the BIOS settings, but he refused to be activated. So I followed the instructions to return to the correct known copy last BIOS on the recovery partition, and yet I could not enable Virtualization Technology in the older BIOS revision.

Then I went the drivers and software from the HP Web site section for my ProBook and downloaded the revision of BIOS Feb 2011 (apparently the earliest possible review of BIOS for my laptop model) and then flashed my BIOS with this revision. And virtualization technology setting STILL refused to activate it.

I've seen in this thread in HP forums:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and/HP-ProBook-4730s-BIOS-cannot-enable-virt...

anyone else with the model of my laptop had the same problem and the same symptoms: VMs worked up to a point in time and at that time there the Virt. Technology implementation option in the BIOS could not be reactivated.

    So my two questions are:

Any available for this model of laptop BIOS revision allows the activation of the option of setting of virtualization technology?

    and,

In the event of a revision, which one is it and can provide you a link where I can find a downloadable copy of it?

    LTW

OK, after you call the tech support of HP, I found the answer to my version of this problem. When I tried to activate the virtualization technology in the BIOS, I was logging in BIOS using my account in the BIOS. At least for me (and probably for others too, since it is advice from HP support gave me) it was bad. You must log in with the account Guest User of the BIOS BIOS, and when you do, a lot of parameters of the BIOS, including virtualization technology, can be turned on/off. So my problem is solved.

  • 4730 proBook s: Ce that enables hardware virtualization

    Hello

I do a course that asks me to run VirtualBox with OS 64-bit with her. Problem is necessary turn on hardware virtualization through the BiOs for this and I am not able to do this. I'm running a Probook 4730 of s with 64-bit, Sandy Bridge Chipset BiOs F.30 worm 68SRR running Windows 10.

I checked the box of virtualization technology in the device Configuration menu and changed the virtualization technology menu item to change the menu Set Security Level. I even went and disabled the component of Hyper-V in the menu of Windows functions like VirtualBox told me too.

Any help would be greatly appreiciated because it slows down my ability to do my course work down.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Chris.

    Hi erico,.

I solved it. I had to update the BiOs and now it has activated. Seems that the latest BiOs it did not support.

  • HP ProBook 6570b: Windows 10 ProBook 6570b BIOS update

When will there be a version 10 of Windows to upgrade the BIOS (the more recent version, currently available for Windows only, 8.1 F.62 Rev.A, file name sp71172.exe) for my HP ProBook 6570 b?

In fact, you can update using the file for Windows 8.1:

    1. Download the BIOS update sp71172.exe for Windows 8.1.
    2. Run, but do not select update now, but to create a USB key for update.
    3. Follow the instructions to create the USB key. This works on Windows 10.
    4. Reset.
    5. Access the configuration Menu by pressing ESC followed by F10.
    6. Find the option to update the BIOS on the USB key and follow the instructions.
