HP Simple pass does not properly.
I just bought a HP Envy 17 TS last Friday. And the finger print scanner does not work properly. On the basis of the recommendations of the Forum of Microsoft, I deleted and updated drivers for both the pass Simple biometric and HP.
Here's the situation. HP Simple pass works for passwords of website and all but don't work try to use it to connect to windows itself. However, if I uninstall use the print and Pass Simple unlock this 8.1 of Windows has its own, it works. Pass Simple to reinstall and it stops working again.

There are a lot of Envy 17 over there - I think left, unsaid and you details give a better idea - it should be sufficient because they are similar in nature (structure and file locking).
It is likely that your laptop came with HP SimplePass version 8.x installed - it's the Softex version and it should work pretty well, and he would be able to get along with native login provided with Windows 8.1.
You could try the following to see if you can get things back in order.
Reminder: For best results, do not skip a recommended reboot sequence.
- Make sure that all of your Windows updates are complete and up-to-date. This is essential. On a new system, it takes a few laps and restarts. Once updates are complete, you can, if you like to put updates 'Notification' for the future. If you install a new Windows updates, restart the laptop.
- If you have not yet, download install .NET Framework 4.5.1: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1
- If you install the framework, reboot the laptop and connect
- Create a Restore Point

- Start > type anywhere 'rebecca' or Recovery Manager >
- Click here to start the Recovery Manager > under "I need immediate help" >
- Drivers and reinstall Applications > find and reinstall your driver fingerprint sensor fingerprint validity
- Close all your programs and shut down your computer
- Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
- Perform the Hard Reset for your laptop
- Start the computer and connect
Consider: you can probably run the version of HP SimplePass 6.x on this system - it is AuthenTec version, fully functional in terms of features and support webcards and Windows logon, too.
See the following to download and install HP SimplePass version 6.x. You can skip the part about reinstalling your fingerprint driver - you have completed this step.
Open the file > click Download > click 'open in Adobe Reader.

Unless something has changed in the last few days, Chrome V29.x may not work with HP SimplePass. Apparently, the problem is related to the way in which Extensions are used. According to one user, Chrome said "it's not their fault. The redone problem surface with a version of Chrome V29.x, who was apparently released in the last week of August.

HP envy 15-j067cl Simple Pass does not work
Just bought Envy 15-j067cl yesterday with the fingerprint reader, which I've never used it before. I did all the updates of Windows 8 and then upgraded to level to Windows 8.1. I uninstalled Norton, using the removal tool, because I have a current subscription for other security software. I tried to find a way to implement the Simple collar, which is what I understand how to set it to use my fingerprints. I was unable to put in place. I checked for Validity Sensor Device Manager and saw the yellow exclamation with this message:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) "
I checked this site, saw a suggestion for drivers of HP recovery, so I did it and now the validity sensor does not show in the Device Manager. It shows only as "unknown device - another device." How can I fix it?

First, if you haven't already done so, install the driver from Chipset 8.1 on the following link.
When this has completed, restart the laptop.
Then see if you can install the following Validity Sensor driver.

I've updated my HP simple pass to this day and still I could not use wisely!
I could never save all Web sites with it or connect to my pc with it!
So, I uninstalled it in the programs list in the control panel!
now, I am unable to reinstall it correctly. the State of message "Failed operation program" keeps coming back!
I don't know that I download the software right simplepass! I need help to know where to find the client software and to help me use the fingerprint reader to connect to Web sites and in my pc!

I just bought the HP ENVY 17. The simple HP goes I put my fingerprints and the web attempt to connect you but nothing has worked. I tried logon windos, but it doesn't work anymore. SImple pass does not load? Want to register Fingprints
Yesterday, I decided to do a clean boot since my startup has been slow. Now, for some reason, I can't to my fingerprint reader, even if I downloaded again the file at hp support here and installed the program.
Here is a picture of the screen: it keeps loading and will not let me register new fingerprints.
And it wont let me add logon. I'm puzzled as to what I can do next to fix this. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I'll try to help you get SimplePass works again. As this problem occurred after a clean boot, this indicates that you probably disabled what was required for the program to run.
If you want to go back and UN - do the boot, which may help. Just reactivate the brand-new and restart the computer.

If it still does not work, go to control panel, then programs and features. Uninstall SimplePass, and then restart the computer. Try reinstalling it again once, then restart the computer before using it.

The button works correctly, but for some reason when I run the flash page, the button looks with the alpha to 50%. TestStand Simple OI does not close properly

We need to build a test system that runs TestStand 4.2 and code modules are created with LabVIEW 9.0. The SW is running on a PC with Windows XP.
We currently use TestStand Simple (LabVIEW version) User Interface to run the tests, and with the Interface of the operator we have a problem.
If we use the file TestExec.exe provided with the installation of TestStand, everything works fine. Single-pass does not work for Web sites after the last update of firefox. This works in IE and Chrome and it works under windows (when starting the computer), but not with any website in Firefox.
Firefox 30 spent some less commonly used "Always turned on" plugins "asking to activate. To check and change this to SimplePass, you can use the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click on Plugins. Then on the right, check the control on the right side of the SimplePass.
You may need to exit Firefox and start it again before it takes effect.
