HP Support Solutions Framework: Framework of Solutions from HP Support - should I uninstall if I Uninstall HP Support Assistant

Our assistance service has been a great help when I posted a warning about my battery, so I took into account in my own hand - google it and installed HP Support Assistant to analyze my battery. I don't know a lot about this program, but it I helped get to the bottom of the problem and a new battery is on its way to me.

I decided to uninstall the wizard because I didn't need the most. That's when I happened to notice two other HP programs on my laptop - HP Support Solutions Framework and HP Hotkey support. These installed when I installed the HP Support Assistant? If so, I want to uninstall these, too. Are they already on my laptop, then I don't want to delete them.

Please notify.

Thank you

I recently upgraded my HP Touchsmart 23-do55 of Windows 8 to 10 of Windows.  I needed to update the drivers for my LaserJet and when I went to the drivers and downloads page, I installed what is called the framework of Solutions from HP Support. This framework has installed a new HP Support Assistant user interface that only shows the printers. It shows all the information to get support for my HP touchsmart, like to see updates HP, updates, Windows, etc. etc.

How to get back my decision assistant in charge of Windows 10, and how can I have two attendants to aid (PC and printers) on my PC?

Never mind. Now I realize that HP Support Assistant is more focused on the PC. The PC is just another device, so I need to open it to show my Windows.

However, if someone in HP is reading this, it would be nice if the UI of HP SUpport Assistant was readable for older eyes. The new user interface uses a very small font in a grey color. It is very difficult for me to read.

Today, I removed macafee by tool Development completely. Y at - it no problem for my system.  Screenshot of number is attached.

    @Edukrishnan

Your system is probably OK - but seems the HPSA (HP Support Assistant) is more entitled to automatically download and / or install the HP drivers / updates.

    Your system:

    Laptop HP Pavilion 15-p073tx

    What's wrong?

Could be the anti-virus / security program, could be a network problem independent somewhere between your computer and updates - could be a variety of things.  HPSA is good code; It is not infallible.

You can use the following workaround - MANY people update this way, some because the HPSA hesitate to download / installation and others due to the extra comfort only update the computer when the owner / user is willing to do.

    • The HPSA settings > notify
    • Restart the computer and log in
    • Start the HPSA and click to get a new list of updates
    • Use the list as a reference >
    • Open the Page of driver for your computer Web site >
    • set parameters (operating system, etc.) >
    • Find updates to the page of your driver and decide whether to download and install the updates manually

  • UPDATES FROM HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT PROBLEMS

I GET NEW UPDATES FROM HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT. I WAS FACING THIS PROBLEM FOR A TIME LONG ENOUGH. WHENEVER I RUN HP SUPPORT SSA. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET UPDATES... SO, KINDLY TELL ME A SOLUTION...

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, use Microsoft 'Fixit' on the following link to uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant - this is particularly useful in avoiding the problems of resettlement when running a 64 bit OS.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

Once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

  • How can I stop HP Support Assistant from loading at startup?

I have a Pavilion dvt6 running Win7 (x 64). Whenever I start my computer, the HP Support Assistant appears in the lower left of the screen. While I'm not interested in the uninstall wizard, I am not interested in having run every time that I start. I joined the service and disabled the HP Support Assistant, and I see the related .exe (hpsa_service.exe) file in my task as a process manager. Is there another process that I need to disable (or change) to close the wizard at startup, or a specific setting in the wizard for help I can to avoid any start-up start-up?

Hey darkhorse123 - I think I solved the problem! Window Wizard of decision-making support for would leap me upward by a few minutes after I started. My first thought was that it was because the Support Assistant was configured as a delayed start service, but no luck. However, today, after doing more research on the file, I came across a post at random - nothing to do with HP - but that seems to have targeted the cause - the Task Scheduler.

I checked my task scheduler and noticed that the HP Support Assistant Quick Start task has been configured to run three minutes after I booted the laptop. Coincidence with the pop-up calendar? Probably not! I changed the setting that I hope it worked.

To change the Task Scheduler settings, go to control panel > administrative tools > Task Scheduler. Open the items on the left (click on the arrow next to the Task Scheduler Library and the HP folder, and then click the folder Support Assistant). All tasks related to the Support Wizard should open on the top right of the screen. [If you do not see the triggers for each, click on each, then the trigger tab in the lower window]. Right-click on each that has a trigger, you want to change (including all tasks that start at startup...), and then click "Properties". Click on the tab 'Triggers' to the bottom of the tab is a button "Edit". Click on, and then change the setting to 'Begin task' all that is right for you. There is no "Never" setting, so if you just want to run the task manually, disable the button "Activate" at the bottom of the window.

I'm guessing that disable the HP Support Assistant simply prevents to start his own - and apparently this isn't the wizard that opens the pop-up window is the Task Scheduler runs Quick Start, that's why we had so much trouble. I restarted my laptop twice now and no pop up window is the time! I'm cautiously optimistic...

If this solution works for you. If so, I'll mark it resolved. Good luck - I'm pulling for you.

  • Pavilion 15-e092ea: does not not after installing updates from HP HP Support Assistant

I was warned of three updates two days before and went to install them before moving on to Windows 10.

I was warned that several reboots may be required.

Several reboots produced, but now, I find that whenever I try to launch tune it just tells me that a restart is required. This must happen at least 10 times.

I can't get further and assume that the software has stopped working properly.

Thanks, your solution was my instinct, but I just wanted to check if there was an another known issue with the latest updates.

I uninstalled the support assistant as suggested and downloaded the latest version.

    Everything works fine.

  • HP G62 freezes: G62 from HP support assistant everything freezes

I just reformated to factory specifications, I have problems with a program called Maximizer I deleted due to problems with outlook. Anyway, the HP support assistant came and I let it is updated, after delivery to zero all seemed well. The support assistant came once again, and then I moved my mouse to check if she had more updates. All of a sudden it just froze, I had to make a hard stop. It restarted and I thought I should update the microsoft updates in the center of the action. Well, I got 172 among young people, so I let it go and when it's over, he said there is an error in update, so he does a back, taking things just to install the update. After the roboot the assistand of hp support came again and froze on the screen.

I held the button to turn off the system and restart.  I went to the hp support assistant to stop the automatic update service, it took three times to make that happen because of the freeze ups. So that does more. and I also left with ms 177 updates I disabled the Auto for this also due to the inability to install those...

    So what now?

Am working on it now to make this forum. but I do need to update the netframework updates and think.

but I don't want to take the risk of an another freeze. are there tools that I can use to repair or check what's wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

If you need more information please let me know...

    Thnx Sparkles,

I'll give that a try again... It works well now, cut off all updates. But I will try what you suggest, I hope nsa is not putting spycrap in updates from Ms...

  • Dead phone after update bios that came from HP Support Assistant

    Laptop: HP Pavilion DV6-7001TU

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

HP support assistant recently recomeneded a BIOS update and I went ahead and did it. After the BIOS updaet when I press the power button / computer does not start (the power button lights up, the CD ROM is checked / departures) but nothing on the screen.

Please help ASAP! The flash update was InsydeFlash

    Sorry for not adding that.

I stood there, so I saw what he was doing.

    1. He pulled the battery, memory, HARD drive.
    2. Unplugged the power cord.
    3. Behind the memory card was the BIOS, he used a tool to read the number of the BIOS, which he used then to find a former chip (this part is chosen).
    4. He pulled out a very small part of the chip old (was the thickness of two human hairs, I think).
    5. Use a fan that blew up to + 400 degrees celcius heat and used a tweazer to put the old chip on the laptop, the curious one, he explained that he did a hard reset on the BIOS and is now flashing a new BIOS chip.
    6. After having done that, he threw the old chip out, left the laptop cool (he threw the chip he found in step 4, the laptop has the same BIOS chip it had originally.)
    7. After that he used gasoline and clean connectors of memory, wifi connectors, the connectors to drive HARD, the BIOS and reset the time system by removing and then pluging in the system battery.
    8. Put the battery back in and booted the computer and vola! everything has started to work as usual, except that I had to re - configure some settings in the BIOS (for my taste) and correct the time system.

    I hope this helps.

    @troubleshoot411, welcome to the forum.

I agree with using Revo.  This is my go to app for malware.  When you used Revo, you use the advanced option?  This will not only remove the program from the HARD disk, but it removes remnants of the BIOS.  If this is not the case, this could be the problem.  I suggest to try the advanced option to remove HPSA and shut down the computer.  Then, start and reinstall HPSA here.

I know it's just a warning and it doesn't seem to affect the performance of my computer that I can say, but I would like to know why it's happening.

Well, I found the task that updates HPSA in Task Scheduler.  I disabled it by using the Properties window.  On the chance someone may be interested, I'll post how it turns out.

I hope that I can now keep the HPSA listed for my computer with no additional alert to update again HPSA that generates several warnings and is not compatible with my desktop computer Pavilion p6 - 2220t and/or Windows 7 sp1 64-bit operating system.

This disabled the HPSA update only not any other.  It seems to be a standalone update for HPSA.
