  Profiles.

  1. Select the profiles icon

  2. a box will appear where you can quickly choose between Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, and outside. If you like quick-change device profiles and select the one you want and get out.

  3. If you want to change the tones assigned to the applications in the device and then select the last option, Advanced Options

  (some older models and 'Advanced' OS 4.1 and below will not step - so advanced is not present go directly to step 4 below).

  4. Select the profile you want to change. (Loud, vibrate, quiet, Normal (default), phone only, Off)

  Note: on the 8100, 8800 and 8300 models: do not click on the trackball. Instead of this, click on the menu button to the left of the trackball).  Note: The profile that is in use will tell: (active)

  5. you will now see a list of all applications that can have an assigned tone (browser, calendar, level 1 Messages, Messages ([email protected]), Messenger, MMS, phone, SMS, job ect..)

  6. Select the application you want to change the tone / notification for

  7. you can now edit the tones of the case and Holster / notifications.

  (a) select between: none, Tone, vibrate, vibrate + tone

  (b) select the range that you want to use

  (c) Select Volume (the options are mute, low, medium, high, climbing)

  (d) to select the number of beeps (the options are 1, 2, 3)

  (e) select Repeat Notification (options are None, flashing LED)

  (f) if value vibrator or vibrate + tone and select number of Vibrations (the options are 1, 2, 3)

  8. repeat a to e for each of the applications set out in number 5 above

• How can I add a gradient to a layer mask to counter a gradual change in the tone of one end of one photo to another?

  I swear I have go nutso.  I have a photo taken with a pretty extreme move of 10mm of a shift lens, which therefore has a gradual darkening towards the top of the photo.  No problem, don't tell me.  I just added a mask layer, click on the gradient tool and drew a line (in a good way) with this tool.  What I received was a transparent area at the black end (of the gradient applied to the mask) ranking to the darkest part of the image showing through to the other end (of the gradient).

  I've done it before and done the above, instinctively, so I thought that I was doing this right.  When it did not work, I tried applying the mask and the gradient to a duplicate background layer, and then flatten the image. Nada.

  Jees.  Something incorrectly? An other than normal blending mode?  I even checked with a CS6 by Martin Evening guide, which seems to be able to do exactly what I wanted without any problem.

  Or... maybe I 'm going nutso :).

  Normal blending mode is correct. Suppose I want to clear up a segment of heaven in image1. Dupe of image and lighten it. It's the Image 2. I exaggerated the relief much here to make it more obvious to you. Please forgive me. Normally the lightning could be more nuanced. The gradient mask attached to the Image 2 starts at the top of the tail of the plane - not the whole image. The result is image 4. Maybe your success is due to the slope not starting and ending in the appropriate box. Note the gradient is black and white.

  Welcome to the community of use-user of Toshiba. I m scared in this forum you will not find many reviews on printers because this forum was created especially for the laptop computer and multimedia products.

  However, according to various sources that I found in the internet, this message is displayed because the toner is empty. If you have installed new toner and this message always, then probably the installed toner was not original or compatible part.

  If everything is OK, but the message is still appear, then you could erase that going:

  Function of the user--> user--> General--> Toner near detection empty--> Yes

• Satellite L20: Modem does not get dial tone

  My L20 specifications is not a tone whem I'm composing upward. On another pc, the connection works well, so I don't know that the line has a dial tone and the other computer is "listening".

  I also tried to uncheck the option "wait before the tone", tried to remove it from the Manager of devices, but after this all the modem still does not work. The current driver that is installed is version 7.20.00.00, because I can not install the latest version (7.25.00.00) (installation program does not end well, no specific error is given).

  Open the system control panel, and then choose the phone and modem options.

  I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 6830, I do not use the installation of fax and therefore it is not connected to a phone line. All the time that printing is turned on there is a tone of continuous fax from the printer, I tried to disable all the Fax options on the Tools menu, but nothing can stop the very annoying tone - of ideas?

  According to the user guide for the Sprint, there should be a set the tone of the shutter to activate shutter sound or turn off.

  I found that the manual is in error. We will be updating. The inability to turn off the shutter sound is a legal requirement. A future update does not allow this feature, but thanks for your comments.

• The iphone 6 s there a tone to let me know that I have an incoming call while I talk on the phone

  New for iphones.  One of the things that miss me is a tone/tone, over the ear speaker, while I'm talking to someone to let me know I have an incoming call.  Miss me calls important reason of not having something to let me know I have a call and need to switch.  The same applies if I call someone.  I use to get the same/beep to let me know that this person was on the phone with someone else.  Is there a setting to activate an audible notification while I talk on the phone?

  This is not a feature of the phone, it's a feature of the carrier. Check with your carrier and see if call waiting is activated on your account. In this case, you will get an alert when there is another incoming call.

  Even when to call someone else, a sound signal will be added to each ring, but again, the carrier provides this functionality, not the phone.

• How to generate a sound (tone) without clicking noise and how to select the left or right speaker

  Hi all

  I try to write write a VI that generates a pure sound of specific frequency and volume, and then sends this tone to a speaker or other (left or right) to be used to teach students about Audiology (hearing these tests may have taken where you hear a noise in one ear or the other).  I created a rather primitive VI to accomplish this, but I am plagued with a number of questions:

  (1) certain frequencies, but not all, the VI produces a rattling at the start and stop of the tone (I think this is related to repeat the configuration and the appeal of the material, but I do not know how to configure it in advance and avoid it - and why he created the clicking sound at all frequencies?).

  (2) at certain frequencies (14000 Hz and more), I do not hear the tone at all on my computer speakers (I still hear the click before and after, but I do not hear the tone.) I know what you might think, but no, this isn't a hearing loss from me :-)

  (3) I would like to be able to direct the tone selectively to the left or right speaker, but at the moment my VI only allows me to choose the 'number of channels' (who I presume "2ch" means left and right), but I don't know how selectively choose only one channel or another.

  I put together a quick test and dirty without a ramp up and down (good thing for a State MC) as well as the name is not correct but my children are waiting... time for weekend

  My ultimate goal is to get/display of the frequency at which the peaks that passes.

  I've used different methods (vi is attached) but does not own.

  1 table of Max and Min > it only shows Max amplitude but not all orders of magnitude and not the frequencies at which the peaks that passes. I guess I should somehow use a search function in a loop or something, but I have no idea how to do that.

  2 peak detector of. VI > This method was good for the summits, but not the frequency. It shows the indexes that are double. If I multiply them by 10, it gives me the frequency and I don't know why?

  3. several information.vi tone > This method has the advantage of threshold, but it's the combination of the cluster and the table which I don't know how it unbundle and get the frequency. Another problem is that it shows only a single tip and its frequency to the not all same time as I develop the table.

• Xerox Phaser 6300 toner cartridge failure

  Xerox Phaser 6300 toner cartridge - cyan toner cartridge failure (almost nine toner).  Printer turned, fired cartridge, cartridge put back in & locked & printer turned on - still had the cyan cartridge failure.  Put in another cartridge cyan who works well - no problems.  It was yesterday.

  Today - released the right cartridge cyan - turned printer printer unplugged waited 10 minutes - put off by "has no cartridge' yesterday - connected to the printer, switched back & still had failure of the cyan cartridge.  Put in the right cartridge & everything is fine.
  Compare the two cartridges - they both have exactly the same.
  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

• Magicolor 2300 DL Printer-Laser - Black: Toner low

  I just replaced all 4 with compatible toners - provided by printerinks.com.

  There is no problem with the color toners, BUT the new black toner message remaining 2%.

  The provider to replace the cartridge - no change to the error message.

  I complained to the Manager and he sent another cartridge free of charge.

  This black cartridges produced the message 0%.

  Whatever the 0% the printer continues to print black OK except that now, there seems to be tiny streaks (almost swaths) in color images.

  I had the printer a number of years and not encountered this problem before.

  This problem is possible if the cartridges are too full, or what else could it be?

  You should be contacting the manufacturer of the printer for the best help.  The industry of ink and toner (printer industry and) is, in my view, shady.  Ink and toner are by far and away the main source of income for the printer manufacturers and they often integrate chips in cartridges that are detected by the printer and if a chip a non-fabricant (or any piece) is detected, the printer will misbehave or are reluctant to the cartridge.  Third-party ink cartridges may have several problems because there is no guarantee they are not already be used cartridges that are not prepared to charge properly or filled correctly.  In addition, any ink cartridge may have some things go wrong with it, if filled out correctly or not.  I gave up third-party ink and toner.  I find that I spend less buying cartridges that are approved by the manufacturer because they usually work for me and the savings to purchase compatible cartridges is not sufficient to overcome the extra money I was paying to buy replacement cartridges for those who failed.  Ink and toner is one of the largest scams of our time.

• Toner cartridges HP LaserJet M1132 not delivering full capacity

  I have a LaserJet M1132 MFP bought last week. USB connection, OS is Windows 8-64 bit. Have upgraded to the latest firmware. Driver is the latest driver for Windows 8. The settings are default (fastres 600).

  When using the cartridge provided initial toner with the device, it delivered only about 250 pages of text (text of the note and no graphics) before he missed. I know because I bought three reams of paper when I bought the camera and used half of a package. Coverage was about 50% per page, double-sided. I took and he trembled, but this made no difference.

  I bought two new original HP CE285A cartridges as I bought the printer. I was wondering if the original cartridge was a reduced capacity cartridge. So I installed a new cartridge. The toner light came after printing 935 pages (from the status page). Once again, the majority of them were text pages to 50% coverage double-sided.

  Each cartridge is £75, resulting in a cost of about 8 p/page page (not counting the cost of the printer) that is outrageous for a laser printer. Packaging estimates approximately 1,500 pages per cartridge, but I clearly did not get anywhere near this with the first cartridge and I don't get that with the other or the other. I have an another HP MFP (3500), which delivers about 5 trains before a cartridge runs out.

  I am a very experienced with 25 years in the printing and imaging user and know that estimates assume some coverage. I use a heavy cover. I am very dissatisfied with say the least. Your help and advice appreciated.

  The only thing you can do to try to extend the life of the cartridge a bit more, it's allow EconoMode on the print driver.  Most likely, this has been activated on the devices tested for the performance of the cartridge.  I'll include instructions to allow below.  Let me know what happens.

  1. Click on the start menu.
  2. Click devices and printers.
  3. Right click on your printer.
  4. Select Printer Preferences.
  5. Click the quality tab.  It can be labeled as the paper/quality tab.
  6. Click the box next to EconoMode to enable it.
  7. Click on apply to save the changes.
  8. Click OK to close the window.

  Under control panel, Sound speakers and headphones properties, tab controls tone, the button apply is gray for my bass/treble settings which reset to 4 whenever my PC restarts if I change them. I can't set the Bass/Treble levels constantly where I want what they (0-4 and Treble - low) because the button apply does not work. I have two identical models of this PC with the same problem - the two HP Pavilion dv6-7138us with Beats Audio and cpu AMD. Apply the button can be fixed? The control GUI Audio Beats (also in the Panel) has bass and treble settings that remain where the value. Maybe Beats is the substitution of sounds in the control panel? I have a Windows 7 32 bit installed on another PC and sound box has different control options - no Beats Audio. I think if the Beats change sound controls in Control Panel, these controls should work. Otherwise, updated sound controls would not be there unless they are there in case the Beats Audio is uninstalled or disabled? I see no way to uninstall it or disable and didn't want to uninstall. IDT Audio is listed in programs and features.

  Any ideas?

  I did some additional research and you are right that it is because of the Beats Audio, taking control of the sound. Any changes to the sound to do through Beats Audio Control Panel.  I'll pass your frustration with this problem along.
