  If you do not need the touch feature you could disable, as follows:

  Press Windows + X logo.
  Select Device Manager from the list.
  Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  Click on the touch screen driver
  Right click and select Disable from the list.

  My Touchsmart 320-1050 is 18 months old and there is two weeks the fan started to have really strong.  Looks like the engine of a plane is racing upwards for takeoff. How can I open the back to see if the fan is dusty or has to be replaced.  We live in a rural area and dirt with a lot of dust.

• TouchSmart 520-1010 has itself turned off everything in video game

  My 2 week old Touchsmart 520-1010 a (Windows 7 64-bit) turns off each time after the video for a few seconds (8-12). Windows gadget pointed to the temperature of the GPU reaching up to 120 ° c in about 10 seconds after the beginning of the video (anything like video streaming online, or offline video MP4, etc.). • HP Touchsmart 520-1070 video card update

  I have a HP Touchsmart 520-1070 with an AMD RADEON HD 6450 A graphics card. I'm not too good with technical stuff, and when I bought this PC I was told that it would be perfectly fine any game. However, when I tried to download some of the popular games and play them on my PC as it is today, with the THIEF, what I discovered was that this computer was great, except that a single card video. I did some research and found that I needed  graphics AMD Radeon HD series R9 to run games perfectly. Now, my question is, can I switch to one of these video cards AMD Radeon HD series R9 with my PC?

  What I'm saying is, you can't buy a standard PCI Express x 16 video card, for example, the R9 from AMD.  It should be a card MXM Mobile, as stated in my previous post.  I wasn't able to find a map that shows the specifications shown, however.  They are not readily available.  To be honest, I'm not sure that an upgrade would allow you to play the games you mentioned.

  I understand that you are looking to use the HP Touchsmart 520 screen as a monitor and are wondering how to do it. Unfortunately, you can't do that you are wanting to do. The HP Touchsmart 520 is a computer with a screen built in and not a screen with a monitor built-in. This means asside game HDMI port THAT actually lead ALL other ports in and out of the computer and not the monitor. Therefore, it is very difficult without tearing the computer to use the display in the way that you are wanting to do.

• TouchSmart 520 TV tuner stopped working

  I have a 1190EA Touchsmart 520. I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows and now the TV tuner stopped working. I've already used Windows Media Center to watch TV. I ran install MCE and windows MCE is unable to find all channels. My TV card is an Avermedia A859.

  I tried everything to fix the problem without success. I suspect that the card is is most recognized in the PC and have tried to find a driver windows 7 or 8 for the card A859. I was not able to locate a driver from the sites, including the Avermedia and HP. The only thing I could find is on the HP site where there is a patch TV card 'channel search fix' for Windows 7. I tried running it, but it returns a "HP not compatitibility" error message during the installation.

  I also tried to install other programs of TV tuner (no windows MCE) to see if these would work. These don't work and I think that they are not detect any signal. Yet once this leads me to think that the TV card needs a driver.

  If anyone can help here it would be really appreciated.

• TouchSmart 520: The computer is stuck on the opening of the screens.

  It will be a little long because I try to give as much detail as possible. I have a desktop HP Touchsmart 520. The other day, I want to run an OS based on Linux from a USB key. I did once before, so I did what I did the last time. I unplugged, take off the back, then removed the hard drive, then plugged the USB key. I was hoping that since I didn't drive hard in, the computer would then operate the stick because of the boot order. He did bring up the screen of the OS, but gave me an error on failure. I turned it off and then return and go to the bios to change the configuration. I found the USB from the menu, but couldn't move, so I tried to disable the first option for the hard drive. I plugged the USB back in, but it does not still work, so I tried to drive hard back. Something happened somewhere in all this, the computer froze, so I tried to hit different buttons to see if I could get an answer, but nothing, so I cut. When I cut back on, I can't no longer to enter the BIOS. The usual HP screen comes up and says press ESC to enter on the start menu, and if I hit him in the first second coming he will take me to a black screen that has my computer on this subject record, starting with the processor type, processor speed, etc. (if I hit any button in a moment the computer hangs on the HP screen). This black screen is as far as I can go and the computer always crashes here, no matter what button I push, but it is said in the lower right corner of the activity for any button I pressed on, for example if I press F2 on the HP screen, it will go to the black screen with my characteristics and in the lower right It will read Diagnostics; If I am pressing F10, it will do as above but read the configuration. He never goes beyond this screen. I know that's not my hard drive, because he wasn't in when it started happening, nor is it possible that a virus has been on the USB port, as it's a BONE checked and I do not use this stick for something else.   seems that there is a corruption of the bios. First try to make BIOS clear CMOS. He must go, unplug the power supply, open it on the back and to remove the RTC (real time clock) battery for a couple miutes and then turn the unit and go to the bios and load bios defaults.   I am trying to help a friend who's HP TouchSmart 520-1030 hard disk is dead.  I have the HP support site, fill out forms to buy 5 DVD System Recovery Disk Set Kit for this system. He even asked for my credit card information. Only after that I entered all this information, the system told me that the recovery kit was no longer available for this system. I tried to download a Windows 7 from Microsoft, but because the key of Windows 7 has been an OEM key, they told me I'd get from HP. I called HP support and they said that they could not get the kit. I asked them if I bought a new copy of Windows 7, the drivers would be available at HP. The phone technology said he didn't know. I asked him if he could tell me how I could know, he says 'No, good night' and hung up. I was not rude or anything. Very professional, in my opinion. In any case, I'm stuck.   The Intel graphics card is simply not powerful enough to handle the latest PC games.
  You think so, why all the hardcore gamer don t buy computers laptops, but during the CPU clock and buy new graphics for PC s Office cards?

  The laptop is not comparable with the desktop PC. It's just different technology according to the limitations of hardware upgrade on your laptop, you can spend only the HARD drive and RAM.
  You cannot add also all other ports for laptop. It is not possible :(
