It seems that the docking station you use with the unit is not supported by your laptop.

The 2740 Ultra slim docking station supports only HP EliteBook 2740 and 2760p Tablet PC.

The laptop supports the base of HP 2700 slim extension with 7mm DVD +/-RW SuperMulti Drive

No, the DisplayPort and DVI Pro docking station port can be used at the same time. So, you need the Dock Ultra.

    Hello

I have a problem with the Thinkpad X carbon 1 in which I can get resolution of 1920 x 1080 on my external monitor (capable of 2560 x 1440), when connected via HDMI using among Dock port but when I connect via direct X carbon 1 display port, I can get the full resolution I want. I've updated the firmware of the docking station Onelink and the pilot video X 1 carbon, what can I do else? Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

On OneLink port hdmi port is hdmi 1.3 only, so it doesn't support resolution qhd. You should get the dock pro OneLink with its integrated displayport.

  • Troubleshooting external video and thread unique docking station

Try to group all threads dock into one video.  This will help me to collect information on what is and is not working there, and get it to engineering to solve.    I will edit this first post to maintain the all updated in one place.  This should make it easier to find information in the future.

Steps to follow before reporting a problem:

    (1) check the revision on your dock.   If you look at the bottom of the docking station, you will see a variety of labels.   The PPID label is on the right side of the group labels and will include a number of review at the end.   Make sure you have a revision A01.   If you A00, and if the video does not work after trying the remaining steps in this guide, please contact support and have your A00 with A01 replaced.

    (2) be sure to update your device to the latest version of the BIOS (currently the A11 for the 713 x) and A07 for the 5130.  For the 713 x, select the version appropriate for your product.

    (3) upgrade to the latest version of the video driver.   It is currently for the 713 x 3496 and 3366 for the 5130 (note that this driver 5130 is packaged in A06 chipset driver).

    (4) connect your monitor (s) to the docking station.   The preferred method is to use directly DP to DP or HDMI to HDMI cables.   Dongles will work, but note that the DP dongles must be 'active '.   DP ++ (non-active) dongles will not work with this docking station.   Passive HDMI dongles are OK.   Use dongles and cables of good quality.   Monitors must be HDCP.

    (5) turn on monitors and set up an external video via the options of the Intel graphics driver or the WIndows Devices/project option.   The 5130 will support the LCD + external display a screen (two screens can reflect the content if you wish).  713 x will support the LCD + two external displays (each unique content display).  713 x will support daily chained DP 1.2 monitors.  Two external monitors can operate at FHD (1920) and one external monitor through DP can support 2560.

    (6) at this point, your external monitor should work.   If this is not a couple of additional troubleshooting follow the steps.

6.1) remove and reinsert the cable from the monitor at dock.

6.2) to ensure that the current dock is good (the LED on the front of the docking station must always be on when power is present)

6.3) make this monitor has good source of selected entry and that the wiring is routed to the appropriate ports.

6.4) compressed Undock and redock to see if a change occurs.

6.5) 6.5) for tablets of 713 x, try to roll back the driver A00 video 3316 to see if that makes a difference.

    (7) if the video still does not work as you expect, please post in this topic with the following information.

(7.1) the confirmation that you have tried the steps above and that you have indeed an A01 docking station.

7.2) of the make and model of your monitor (s).

7.3) information (e.g. How is everything connected) configuration

7.4) If you use several dongles, brand and model of the dongle if known

7.5) problem specific (s) you encounter.

  • Dell USB - 3 docking station (D3100) video limits?

I bought my second Dell P2415Q monitor, bi-ecrans support and a docking station.  After I had it put in place and works, I noticed that the resolution on the monitors was maxed out at 2048 x 1152.  Each monitor supports the resolution of 3840 x 2160 and QHD + video in my XPS - 13 3200 x 1800 card.  After some research, I discovered this page 3 of manual docking station has a little graphic that shows that it is the best you can get with a dual monitor connected to the docking via HDMI.  I am disgusted!  What causes this limitation?

I agree that the sales site should have stated this limitation of the manufacturer. You should be able to set up like this =

    D3100 DP on--> CDM DP cable--> #1 P2415Q CDM in (STD primary, page 33 and 34) = 3840 x 2160 30 Hz

    D3100 out HDMI--> HDMI to HDMI Cable--> 2 # P2415Q in HDMI = 2560 x 1440-50 Hz

  • Tecra M9-104 with docking station - DVI resolution

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Tecra M9 - 104 running Windows XP. I also have the docking station to go with it. The great thing about the docking station, it's that it can out to two screens as the port on my M5 Replicator could not do.

I bought two identical external screens that have a native resolution of 1440 x 900. I went into the Nvidia display configuration and set up to display both (one is plugged in VGA and one DVI port). However, the display on the DVI monitor is wrong. After further investigation I woke up the menu of the monitor on the screen to see that the resolution actually be issued is 1280 X 1024, despite Nvidia screen saying 1440 x 900 has been the output. Whatever I do, I can't increase the resolution on DVI port.

The only thing I could find on Google and these support forums is that the maximum resolution on the DVI port on a port replicator is 1280 x 1024, but it was for the M1 and M2 series. This laptop is the last series and as such, I expected that the spec had been updated at this time.

    Someone at - it ideas?

Could be due to a limitation of the video driver on the laptop, or you can try to download a utility that requires to use a different resolution, its called Powerstrip (do not have a download link sorry).

Be careful with it though, you can mess up your video driver

  • Port Replicator/Docking Station for Portege M700

I'm trying to find a docking station or port replicator port for my portege M700 tablet with no luck so far.

Ideally, I want something that costs at least 4 ports USB, VGA, audio and LAN.

    Any suggestions please?

    Hello

You can use the Express Port Replicator Docking Station PA3508E-1PRP part number.
It should be compatible with your Portege M700

You know the Dynadock? This pretty s toy and provides different ports.
For example the Dynadock DVI (PA3542E-2PR) supports video output from DVI port and Dynadock VGA (PA3541E-1PRP) supports the VGA instead of DVI port.

You can use all these 3 devices with M700

    Check it out

  • T520: Unable to support more than 2 screens? (via the docking station)

    All,

I have a problem, allowing more of 2 monitors. My T520 is connected to a docking station that has two outputs digital video that are connected to two monitors NEC.

For some reason any when I go on Windows | Display settings | It does not allow me to activate all three display at the same time. Can I have one) two monitors on the computer screen or b) + 1 monitor.

Whenever I tried to connect to the 3 screen, it automatically shuts the screen 2.

Other colleagues with T420 not experience this problem. The T520 & T420 uses the same docking station so I don't think that is the question.

My first thought is to update the video driver that I did but still does not. The T420 has a nVidia card while T520 has an Intel processor on board one.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

    Thank you

T520 with Nvidia Optimus can support up to 4 screens, while as the T520 with intel only the graphics card can support only 2 screens.

If you need more screen support on the T520 of yours, you may consider usb2dvi, eGPU, Vidock.

  • Universal docking station for Lenovo T430 and X 201

    Hello

I am looking for a universal docking station for both my en T430 my X 201 laptop.

It must have a minimum of 2 ports usb + a HDMI output to connect to my TV. A displayport (mini or normal) is also correct.

THX in advance for the help.

    http://www.DisplayLink.com/shop/docks

You would need to port usb Replicator options, but noted that these devices require usb 3.0 ports. So for your X 201, you need to get an expresscard usb 3.0 card adapter.

  • No sound from HP - 8560p, windows 7 64 bit elitebook docking station

I was issued a laptop Elitebook 8560p for use with a 90 W HP Docking station at work.  When the laptop is plugged into the docking station, the port ' audio out ' of the docking station does not work.  The sound continues to come out of the computer laptop speakers, or, if I plug the headphones into the headphone for laptop, it comes out of the helmet.  Plug the headphones into the Docking Station does not all the sounds (either of the two audio ports - in or out).  When the laptop is plugged into the docking station, no additional reading device does appear in the audio menu - just an output HDMI AMD (disabled) and speakers (activated).

The speakers/headphones on the laptop works fine, the problem is just that the docking station is in no way "replica" or the audio output support and it's as if the port of the enclosure of the dock just weren't there.  So, I could use my headset by plugging directly to the laptop, but this really seems to defeat the whole concept of a docking station.  All other ports (video, usb) seem to work on the docking station.

    I am running Windows 7, 64-bit.

I reinstalled the sound driver (for laptop) so that the laptop was plugged into the dock.  That did the trick.

  • Product name: HP ENVY 15 No. TS: docking station for my laptop HP ENVY 15 TS

I just bought this laptop and I need to buy a station of dociking to it.

With my previous laptop was a connector on the bottom which would align with the docking station and to operate.

The HP ENVY 15 TS laptop does not seem to have special connections. What dociking it uses station?

    Thank you

Consumer laptops no longer have an option for a dock "bring down" which is a shame but the standard in the industry today. HP Business models have this option. The only thing that you can use with the consumption patterns is a USB 3.0 'docking station' which is a misnomer because they are really 'port replicator. However, USB 3.0 has a bandwidth sufficient to reproduce all the ports on the laptop so that they can have gigabit ethernet, sound and video quality even multi-monitor which works very well.

    Something like this:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-Replicator-docking-H1L08AA-ABA/DP/B008KMDVME

See, this one has 2 x usb x 2 2 3 usb, audio, ethernet, hdmi and displayport. It has its own power when you connect laptop connect two cables from the laptop... of its own power cord and then plug into a usb 3.0 port on the laptop. Almost as fast as "align to the bottom."

  • Dock station multimedia Motorola

I just bought the dock Station multimedia Motorola for my Droid X, which is hooked up with HDMI cable. When I plug the phone on the dock, he 'connects to the application of the "multiple Station". On the bottom in watch 'play all' (for the music) and "Peak Slide" for the photos. When I click on either they will only play on the phone not the TV. The only way I can get the pictures to play on TV, if I click on 'HDMI' when the image is on the phone and then it will play on the TV. (It will work with the Hdmi cable just in the gallery.

I thought that this dock would play music and view photos and videos on TV. (It's not even a selection of videos on the 'multiples' Station (you must go to the Gallery so he could play on TV).)

Y at - it another app that works? If this isn't the case, I might as well return it. I can use the cable that is connected directly to the TV to view photos and video.

By default, this is how the HDMI output is designed to work.  There is an application that might work for you.  I must warn you however that some people have no problems with it on the phone from freezing and they need to pull the battery to get the phone working again.  The app worked ok for me.  'S called it Real HDMI.  It will allow what is on the screen of the Droid X to be displayed via the HDMI port.

Another thing that should be noted is that when you have playing on the tv, it appears that the x screen is frozen.  This is normal because the X cannot display on a screen at a time.  When you turn off HDMI Real what going to happen of the x display.  You can still select and make things on the screen, but you have to guess where you need to put your finger.  You can also turn off soft, then again to refresh the screen so that you know where the tap of your finger.  I hope this helps.
