HP8610: User-specific printing problem

My partner has this problem, which means that I have this problem.

"My document won't print. It was printing fine, and then it is simply stopped. »

When I check, the document will be stuck in the print queue; assigned to the port WSD - but maybe all are our documents they assigned to this port? given that normally check us on that - and other documents will be usually be stacked upward in the queue after them (such as the document again).

Why this happens, and can do us something to stop it?

Is there something I can check?

I'm suspicious, that he has something to do with the document containing the material that has been copied and pasted from the internet, but maybe it's superstition on my part.

I could mention a few things: execution of the troubleshooter has, so far, has solved the problem - will delete successfully the task of the print queue. so far, I have not had this problem, my partner has had it - it's what makes me wonder if it has something to do with the document itself and some text or statement that is included in the document.

It is posible that the 8610 is offline b4 a print job?

  • Multi-user, same computer, printing problems - I can, my wife can not

I bought a HP Photosmart 6520 yesterday to replace a 6510.  I could get installed it on my computer at home.  However, it does work when I am connected to the computer.  My wife uses this computer more than I do, and when it is connected to the computer with its own credentials that she cannot print anything.  What are we doing to ensure that all users can print (also two grown children who use it occasionally)?

    What operating system?

My guess would be the security settings.  If you use Windows 7 do the following: log in as a user with administrative capabilities.  Click on start, devices and printers.  Right-click on the Photosmart 6520, select printer properties, security.  Click on everyone and click on checkboxes to allow to print, manage this printer and manage documents, apply.

For other Windows systems, procedures would be similar.

  • Where can I find better, more correct instructions to solve printing problems by editing prefs.js?

Instructions of "resolve printing problems | Firefox Help, line 6. Delete all the lines in prefs.js that begin with print_ and save the file. "do not match what is actually in my prefs.js file.

In other words, he didn't y not the lines * beginning * with "print" or "print_". However, the string of five characters 'print' is * very * many times buried deep in a line of characters, but never at the beginning of a line and rarely followed by underscore. So I have no idea what I'm actually planned to do to solve my problem.

It seems to me that this is just a badly phrased statement that might be more appropriate for someone who is familiar with the codification and development of software, which I'm not. I don't have the time, experience or knowledge to understand. I need more literal/explicit/specific instructions.

The printing problem I have is that I have to print via WiFi to a printer in another room wired to another computer, and Firefox seems to switch or possibly reverse scales fonts for information of margin and the text of the Web page. In other words, the title of the document, date, time, prints etc very wide and the content of the page text prints almost too small to read.

If there is a lot of user set prefs involved that need to be reset, then it's much easier to delete related lines of the prefs.js is each of them with the button straight on the topic: config page and click Reset.
This is the main reason (single) to edit the prefs.js file.

  • Printing problem Photoshop CC to HP; newly released s Z5400 Postscxript inkjet printer

HP support staff unfortunately are still using PS 5 to help with printing problems. They only got Windos 7 too who doesn't get useful information of them viable. The problem that I am facing is print on canvas 24 "on this printer capable of 44". Only been in Australia for a month and had updated its firmware. I create a lot of panoramic canvas 20 "x 40". I need to print 24 "x 44" to facilitate packaging Gallery of images of artists. OK so with all printers in thank you I had no problem using the Photoshop 'don't print' command and setting the specifications in the dialogue provided by Photoshop.

With this printer I get additional options available through or PC Photoshop via a touch screen of the printer itself. The problem that I can not get resolved by HP (who naturally blame Adobe for it) is that no matter what I said the widtyh of paper for and subsequently, the printed image, the printer tries to print an image of a 44 "wide on paper 24". Nothing to do with the orientation of the image. Nothing to do either with all the settings of Photoshop so please don't go into the basics, I spent 21/2 hours on the phone with HP it.

If I use Save to PDF from Adobe 9/10 editable in Photoshop, I can print the image using Adobe Acrobat Pro XL. Nice quality, correct color but... It is not printed in Photoshop, I add another layer of complexity to achieve the result. According to HP, I'm the only person in the world with this problem. Well the printert has only just been released and it is not promoted as a specific canvas printer so maybe I was just the first of many who will follow in my footsteps. Recognize by using one of these machines and their ability to produce realistic colors and fall into the pit, in that I am the economy. Staff with on the hardware and software that can't duplicate support issues.

Apart from giving up my subscription and CC, then back to version 5 of Photoshop, has one you have a suggestion for Tristan, what would happen and what can be done to remedy this?

The automaticity of this printer uses controls is half the problem. The fact that it does not come with a user manual is another part of the puzzle and how you select a type of paper in order to obtain print heads up to canvas to print by selecting the type of paper, that all adds the problem on what is happening. But at the end of the day, I feel because I can print these images from Corel PhotoPaint, same Irfanview using the printer driver tells me how it is intended to be used, the question is in Photoshop CC.

Nature cconstructive any help will be welcome.

    Ryadia.

Well... I solved the problem a little differently. I got a 100% + fees refund of HP themselves and bought an Epson! Boy, was the right decision to make than ever before. I had not one problem with the Epson where HP gave me a litany of endless drama. I do not understand why a manufacturer of the printer must create defective and the bug ridden software that wants to take control of Windows and Photoshop and then they try and blame everyone except themselves.

The postscript HP Z5400 printer proved something important for me... You always get what you pay for. I run canvas about4-5 hours a day with the Epson. I had to stay at work past 8 hours a day just to get the same amount of work out of the HP. For speed, I've never had anything faster than a 8100 Canon, but the hidden costs of the property are horrible. The HP is the cheapest that I had and the slower printer. The Epson is economical to run, carried out at a reasonable speed and has no hidden cost.

After 5 months of harassing HP to get the "next, on the site" support I paid an extra $1200 for and never had, I can guarantee you that I will never, never has another Hewlett Packard product again. I had to go to the head of the Asia-Pacific off to get anyone who would listen to me. The Australians asked me to sign a form I would keep my mouth shut and sacrifice almost a grand that I put in it before talking about a refund. Then I discovered that they had received a fine of $ 3 million by competition and consumers watch dog in Australia more than tell someone who bought a $200 printer for a walk when he dropped his bowels a few weeks after the purchase. This crowd is pure poison for consumers.

  • View Client default printer problem

    Hello

I have a group of users who use virtual desktops.  They have printers connected to their jobs the.  An application is running in the virtual office which MUST have a specific network printer set as the default printer to work properly.  However, when a user connects to their virtual office, their local printer is set as the default and the user must manually change the printer.   Rather than change the user of the printer, I wrote a VBS script that runs every 10 minutes that defines the correct default printer on the VD.

This set works very well for most users, but one of my users has a problem where the default printer will change to its RDP redirected printer randomly throughout the day.  Users must have the ability to print to their local printer, so disable the printer RDP redirection is not an option.

Is their any way to activate the redirection with RDP printer, but don't have NO RDP change the default printer in the virtual office?

    Thank you!

There is a group policy setting that can help:

In a GPO - redirection of data Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Terminal Services / ClientServer

There is a setting for - "do not set default client printer to be default printer in a session.

I think that's maybe what you are looking for. There are also a few other settings with which you can play.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Hello @firaskhalil,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I want to help you solve your printing problem you feel when trying to print from your Windows XP computer to your network connected HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you are able to print correctly on your Windows 7 computer network. I see that you can run the HP printing and the doctor without any problem analysis tool and print a test page with success over there from the Windows XP computer. You are also able to scan without any problem. With all that being said, I think that what you experience on the Windows XP computer is a driver conflict. I think that your software and network connection are quite well. That being said I will guide you through the addition of an alternative HP Officejet generic print driver. You won't lose any functionality while using this replacement driver.

Step 1: Clear the temporary files:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Check the box run
    3. In the Temp folder, type folder , and then select OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, click the first item in the list, and your shift key on your keyboard and scroll down a few lines and click another item in the temp folder. Everything between the two points that you click on will highlight now. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard.
    5. Continue these steps until all items in the Temp folder have been deleted. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer are affected by your by deleting temporary files. A file should always be used in the Temp folder, you will get the pop up 'try again ' or 'Cancel' the point. Simply close the pop-up screen, ignore this file and proceed to remove the remaining files.
    6. Once the Temp files are deleted, close the folder
    7. Right click of your recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 2: Download driver replacing:

    1. Please click here to download the appropriate driver
    2. When the site opens, select the download button at the top left
    3. Allow the download to run
    4. An extraction should take place once the download is complete
    5. If the installation window opens automatically, please close the window.

Step 3: Adding a driver replacing:

    1. Click on the Start menu, then select box to run it
    2. Type %temp% , and then select OK
    3. When the Temp folder opens, find the file 7z
    4. Click the 7z folder to open it
    5. At the top of the window, you will see the path of the file bar. It may look like: Local C - users-AppData-Local - Temp-7z... drive Left click once on the right side of the bar. Everything in this bar will highlight now. Right-click on the highlighted file path and copy it.
    6. Close the Temp folder
    7. Click on the Start menu
    8. Choose Printers and faxes (you may need to go to the control panel for this)
    9. In the Printers folder, right-click on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 and left click on Properties
    10. Left click on the Advanced tab
    11. Left-click on new driver
    12. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right
    13. Click on disk at the bottom right
    14. In the window "install from disk", there will be a path bar. Right-click in this bar and Paste in the path to the file we copied previously.
    15. Click OK
    16. Choose the HP Officejet 8600 and click Next to complete the wizard of pilot.
    17. The title of the Properties window, select 'apply' but do not hit OK
    18. Select the general tab
    19. Rename your printer in HP Officejet Pro 8610
    20. Click OK

Now that the new driver is added please try printing again.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

  • Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server printing problems...

    Hello

We have recently installed a Server 2008 r2 remote desktop server.  Everything works well except sometimes once a user has printed a large number of documents remotely a print job fails.  The only mistake he gives may not print.

Once this problem starts they then won't even be able to print locally to a printer connected to the server.  The only way to solve the problem is to disconnect and turn it back on.

We checked to see if the spooler is running, it is not a remote printing problem, that it does not start even local print will work for this user.  We also checked to make sure that the print queue is not an uptight work.

    How we solve this problem?

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 has.  I want to print as a booklet.  I had another printer of the same brand, but bought an update because the other stop working.  The old print booklets without problem.  He refuses to do so, even if I follolwed meaning explicitly.  It prints two pages in small print at the top of the sheet, leaving the white background.  It turns to the and did the same thing on the other side.  It should print a page on each half of the paper, go back and do the same on the other side.  When it is folded in the Middle constitutes a booklet.  Is there a problem with the machine itself?  I configure to print page 2, basic shape, all pages, size, print before backward, turn on the short side of the landscape.  What else is there to do?

    Hello

    1. what operating system is running on your computer?

    2. based on what application you print the booklet?

    3. it worked earlier? If so, remember you have changed your computer?

  • process of splwow64.exe which prevents other users from printing

Windows 2008 server 64-bit - on remote desktop, printing of the 32-bit application as a "modular" user, the splwow64.exe process opens and the job is printed application.  Once the splwow64.exe process opens for the user "modular", logging as long as another user to the 'mistest' application, the user cannot print from the 32-bit application.  Only when I end the splwow64.exe for the "modular" user process the user "mistest" will be able to print and then the splwow64.exe process left to the user "mistest".

I found the Microsoft Article 2513330 and implemented the splwow64.exe registry key with a value of 0 in HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Sysprocs and then restarted the server.

The registry setting has not solved the problem - the splwow64.exe process remains still open.  Microsoft has a solution to automatically close the splwow64.exe process after the print job is finished?

  • Printing problems with XP and Lexmark-documents are just stuck in the print queue

Original title: printing problems with XP and Lexmark

Until yesterday, I was able to print OK using Windows XP and a Lexmark Printer series 3500-4500 with wireless capabilities.  Reported network test wireless (on printer) and report indicates that there are no reported problem, also did the diagnostic test and which shows no problem either.  I can't print and documents are just stuck in the print queue - please can someone help, it drives me crazy because it's probably a very simple solution.

I guess you do not have all of the error messages.

It is possible that comes to mind that your printer has received a new IP address of your router (this could easily happen if you have several computers and other devices that connect to your wireless network).

Find the IP address of the printer of his network diagnostic page.
Click Start > printers and faxes, right-click the printer and select Properties
Select the Ports tab, then click on the button "Configure Port" (be careful NOT to click anywhere in the list of ports)
Make sure that the IP address in 'Port settings' is identical to that shown on the diagnosis of your network printer page.

To avoid this problem in the future, you must configure the printer to have a static IP address.  See your printer User Guide for instructions.

Choose an appropriate subnet address (i.e., has the first 3 groups of numbers the same as the other addresses in your network) but who is not in the range of addresses assigned by the DHCP server on your router.  See the User Guide of your router for more details.

  • HP 6830: HP 6830 printing problems

Initially, this printer has been used on a system with Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and it worked flawlessy. After the upgrade to Windows 10 However, he had a few intermittent printing problems. Known upgrades can cause problems I uninstalled/reinstalled and everything seemed ok. However, the same problem reappeared immediately.

Everything works ok for a bit then the printer stops working. Can not scan or print (from Panel of control printer itself or control office). The printer must be powered off/on power so that it can start working again.

Ran the program Scan HP that came with it and made sure to drivers are updated. The problem persists however. What can be done short of buying a new printer? Help, please.

EDIT - I forgot to mention it is configured to operate wireless and not via the USB port if it matters.

I wanted to give you an update...

I "think" the printer now works correctly? It has been a few days without question since I worked on it back which is longer it's gone in the past. I do not accept the solution again, however I want to give him a few more days to be sure. I thought it was fixed before and printing problems are back.

    Notes:

    1. I do not have the procedure described above SMTP uncheck ^ ^ ^ I didn't quite read the right steps when you work on it (it's actually the printer of a family member and not mine). I spaced on where he is told to do a right click on the printer icon and then click printer properties. I guess my mind went to some properties. I didn't know there was a printer properties to select. Printer properties is higher in the list of menu along that opens the right click (I have a HP printer too and he tried once I realized my mistake). I guess I'm so used to click the General properties, I just cleared the research of properties of the printer and thought that it meant click regular properties.

Because I clicked on the wrong properties option I could not find the ports tab (but I was able to find the IP address - it was OK) so I thought maybe gave me by mistake as follows to another printer or the version of windows. So I just moved to other options. If someone reads this thread to try to resolve the issues I've had to make sure and look up in the list for the printer properties and select is NOT as the ordinary properties which is at the bottom.

2 - the update suggested KB was already there and installed. However, it had been installed shortly after the 10 Windows upgrade which is when issues with printing suddenly appeared. So I uninstalled manually downloaded the update and reinstalled just in case it had been corrupted during the original automatic installation. This is a HUGE update and I have seen that people have screwed up in automatic updates in the past.

3 - I decided to uninstall all of the software and the printer and start over again once more. In doing so, I found a few HP entries that were dated before the previous uninstall/reinstall tent while they were not uninstall as they should have and I thought they had. This means that they have not been updated during reinstallation or the other. Made me think maybe one of them was somehow behind the questions?

I had to use 3rd party uninstalling and registry/hard drive cleaning to remove all traces of these couple like Windows Add/Remove Programs software wouldn't uninstall them at all, or if she did he left pieces everywhere.  One in particular (HP Solutions Framework Support) wouldn't uninstall period until what I downloaded from specific software allowing a forced uninstall. Took long to get everthing HP about the machine off.

Once I have finally managed to remove all traces of the old installation of HP and went forward with the reinstall using latest software/drivers on HP.com, I noticed the relocation took a little longer and I was asked to do more to lift the printer up and running. I think that some of these programs/registry entires which gave me such a hard to remove time were corrupt reinstalls previous that I tried when popped up printing problems after upgrading from Windows 10. Once they were gone went to reinstall it correctly. Or so it seems, it's just a guess.

Anyway, as said above ^ ^ ^ "seems" to have corrected the problems. I do not know about you until the printer is used for a few days. It is used a lot if it's not resolved, I'm sure I'll hear about it soon. After that earleir tries to fix the issues would already have surfaced long before now so I'm hopeful we finally have it.  I'll be back if everything goes well and will accept the solution OR post that it did not really work. Don't want to prematurely.

    Hello

I seem to have a printing problem. You don't know if it started after a rescent Windows 7 update or not.

Funny, this is the printer will print the pages in the HP maintenance program but does print not anything using the software Windows, even the properties of the printer, print test page.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

OK, finally got this problem. Did a google search and finally found someone who has exactly the same problem.

I had to disable all security software, and set the control to the lowest setting (off) UAC Windows user account. Then, uninstall and reinstall the HP software.

Not sure why this started all of a sudden, only thing that's happened to rescently was multiple 14 or so Windows 7 updates on close April 14, 2015.

Well well after 5 days that I fixed it myself, same technical 1 Microsoft Support level could not repair after a 1 hour on the phone and connect remotely.
