Microsoft calls customers to warn them that their computer is showing defects?
I was contacted twice in the last 3 days of a call center, claiming that they are from Microsoft and they discovered that my computer is showing the flaws. I asked them to send me an email instead and warned, I got her phone number and should be to the police.
I suspect that it is a phishing scam. Who would have my phone number with regard to my computer?
Somehow I can check, I'm not wrong and look into this further?
It is not Microsoft and whatever they are, they try to rip you off. Search in this forum for the words scam and the phone.
If they call again just tell them that you don't even have a PC. See how fast they cling.

I received a call from Microsoft saying that I am facing a problem on my computer. They said there are technical service. I told them it sounded like a scam and they said they could prove it. Told me to press the Microsoft button while pressing the letter 'r '. I told them that I don't have the time to do what I was about to leave the House for a race. They said they'd call back Monday at 14:00. Is it a scam? Or is it legitimate?

It wasn't Microsoft. It is a scam and that is becoming more and more common lately. But
even worse, if you let them into your computer, who knows what damage they did here or what confidential information they stole.
So, if you did. I highly recommend that you do both of the following immediately:
1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
2. change all your passwords, especially all of banks or other financial sites.

I received a call today a stone that identified himself as Windows Support calls. He informed me that my Windows program was in danger of crashing, and if I went on my computer immediately he could walk me through the steps to correct this situation. I refused, and he said he'll call again tomorrow. I also Norton Antivirus installed on my computer, and according to the latest analysis today, there is no serious problems. So, my question would be support personnel Tech Windows do actually contact customers or should I consider this a scam?
Thank you

This a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.
At let them into your computer? If you did you are at serious risk for what they could have done it (installed spyware? Steal the passwords?), and I highly recommend that you do the two following:
1 reinstall Windows properly
2. change all your passwords, especially those of the financial institutions and online stores.

Original title: I will take a phone call from "Windows Care" telling me that my computer was sending Windows messages. He wanted to access my computer to solve the problem. Is anyone aware of this company?
Does anyone got a call from 213-221-3528 "Windows Care"? I received a phone call from "Windows Care" telling me that my computer was sending Windows messages. I had some problems with error messages saying that there is an unknown device on my computer. The care Windows person wanted access to my computer to solve the problem. I would not grant him permission until I have check this. Everyone is aware of this company and it is legitimate?
It is most certainly NOT legitimate. There are a great many scams running right now, in many countries around the world, with similar claims. None of them believe. Microsoft never call unless you called first and made arrangements for a recall to work.

Please could someone tell me if the calls of the India telling me this computer is corrupt and needs attention to the cost are to be considered as a suspect.
This morning, my husband took one of the many calls from a company whose name can never be clearly understood. Call came this morning from the above mentioned phone no. It was a particularly tough call, insisting that they knew there was corruption on my system and when my husband asked for the source of this information and how they would take care and at what cost, the appellant insisted to know the age of my husband. When he asked the appellant to bring the problems that he was speaking in an e-mail that he rang off the coast.
As has happened so often before, could someone please let me know what steps I should take to ensure that all information on the State of operation of my computer is genuine and comes from a reliable source. My husband and I are retired and is concerned by the number of calls we receive from this type. We had an audit by computer not so long ago and everything was there at that time. Despite the running is a little slow, I don't have serious problems that I know. I learned to be patient when waiting for the computer to operate as required.
I look forward to hear from you in due course.
Thank you very much.
It's FAKE and SCAM, because of course, you could report it to the Ministry in charge of fraud in your country.

Microsoft Calling customers?
my friend received a call from microsoft abt his computer sends in too many error messages and had to remote into his computer to fix it. Is - this kosher? They had him turn on the remote desktop.
No, it's a scam.
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx
Microsoft does not make unsolicited calls. They will call you only if you have contacted them first.
Nobody is the ability to identify a computer "sending too many error messages" and relate this back to a phone number.
I'm afraid that it will have to review everything on the compromised computer.

Does anyone know how to fix the IMAP sent and delete junk and trash?
Hello
Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community.
It has to be boring. I'll help you understand a fix for the problem. However, I need to ask you a few questions before proceeding.
1. which is the version of Windows installed on the computer? For example, Windows 7, Vista
2. what exactly is the problem that you face the computer?
3 are you facing the question when you use Microsoft Outlook, any web client, or any email account? So what email account?
4. when exactly you get the error message?
5. it worked correctly previously?
6. have you done any software or changes to the material on the computer before this problem?
Please answer these questions and provide additional information so that we can better guide you.
