  Hello

  The utility does not set up users to the shared services, you must configure users to shared services before the migration of the application or enforcement of the updateusers utility.

  Utility synchronizations users in planning with shared services, they need to exist in shared services.

  If you want to migrate shared services provisioning, then you can try and use the import utility in the hyperion\common\utilities directory.

• Hyperion Planning - invalid or did not find the configuration of the module

  I modified the essbase property file in essbase server and report as server below and restart all the services of hyperion.

  netConnectRetry = 30

  netDelay = 2000

  netSocketTimeOut = 20000

  After restarting the services, I am not able to open planning applications. I get the error message - 'invalid or did not find the configuration of the module.

  This error is straight after the restart services, usually that type of error can be caused if the jdbc connection pool is full, which shouldn't really be the case when the service starts up.

  Are you able to connect to schedule directly if? If this isn't the case, restart the new service and check if the errors are recorded.

  We have created a new planning application, where we have default dimensions (account, duration, year, script, Version & entity) created automatically.
  
  1. can change us the default name of the dimension according to my requirement?
  2. If so, will there be an impact if we publish?
  
  Note: Come Planning application only. Database has not yet been created.

  As you created the application it should be no problem, the edition names, it is common to change the year to years to DTS.

  I exported all the artifacts of Hyperion (planning, Essbase, HFM, SSP) Hyperion 11.1.2.0 and try to import the same in Hyperion 11.1.2.4.   For applications in non-unicode mode, type script and plan worksheet names should be maximum 8 characters. But your artifact (FSTSOCT13) is to have 9 characters. Test by renaming the name of the script.

  And come to the rejected members, you are facing this problem only with the members of the entity? You are able to import other members of the standard dimension?

  Have you changed the destination application name or database name?

• Hyperion Planning Alias table question

  Hi all

  We have a problem with the Alias of Hyperion planning table.

  For example: the country Brazil has Portuguese as official language, but the table Alias must be BRL_Alias.When we tried to name, the name of the Alias as BRL_Alias it takes the Portuguese characters such as question marks (?).
  Could you please let us know how this can be resolved.

  you have created your application in unicode mode?

  You can check in the library of the application-> tools-> manage the Source of data for planning. Select your data source and see if the "Unicode support" is true

• ODI for Hyperion Planning upgrade upgrade

  Dear all,

  I really need your advice. Now we are in the process of Hyperion Planning upgrade 11.1.1.3 11.1.2.2

  We must also modernize ODI. Hyperion Planning and ODI now run on the same machine. And after upgrade HP, it will be even...

  So now we have 2 servers - current HP more ODI and new HP.

  Could you please how to make the process of upgrading of ODI?

  PS: I don't want to touch existing ODI. And I don't want to install the previous version on the new server.

  I'd be happy if it was the way with the new installation of version ODI with migration of repositories for new machine...

  Install a newer version of ODI in the new server. Then take the saving deposits of the ODI and restore them to new db.

  Using the upgrade process, upgrade the ODI, then connect them with newly installed ODI.

  With the help of ODIhome/bin/us.bat, we can improve the ODI version.

• Hyperion Planning member formulas

  My client has a planning application where many members have the same Member to XREF formula in a value of this same Member in another cube. Member formulas are identical except for the name of the Member.
  
  When I go to PARTY and check the Member properties, they are there. But when I go into the workspace and modify a dimension member, no Member is present.
  
  So:
  
  1. is there some facility to assign a member formula to many members in the planning of mass?
  2 can. a member in planning cause a different formula for each Plan Type? If Yes, how, it seems that the dialogue of member properties would not be sufficient to configure them separately since there is only one box for the member formulas.

  Looking at the size of accounts, and it's the kind of plan that isn't the plan source type as you look in Essbase as planning will generate XREF formulas automatically to the type of source.

  I'm new to Hyperion Planning and want to integrate to the FDM, documentation, I understand that this can be done with Essbase. Please help how to integrate Hyperion Planning with FDM

  1. navigate to the outbox\templates folder and open the template Budget-12Periods-AllDims

  2 paste the source data into the model and adjust the time/place/category to be loaded to and update of the range upsnamed to include all data

  3. login to the application of FDM and choose activities > Multiload

  4 find the source template and click on "check-in".

  5. to run the workflow Import/validate / / build/Export check

  6. open EAS and find the database of planning application, right-click and choose Edit/drill definition

  7. at the end of the URL is a character in e randomly. Delete this character and save the definition of

  8 open the form of planning within work and FDM drill, drill is successful.

• ODI and Hyperion Planning help

  I have 2 Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 configuring servers for applications of Finance and human resources. I want to copy the data from the application of human resources to finance one.
  
  I ODI 10.3.5 installation on a machine separate with Hyperion Planning card installed. In the topology Manager when I try to create a new database in Hyperion Planning Server, I do not see the Application (catalogue) and demand (the work catalogue) drop downs fill.
  
  I checked the RMI registry service running on the server of hyperion and port 11333 is also free.
  
  I'm new on ODI and I'm trying to set it up using Oracle guides.

  Again check your odiparams.bat file and make sure that there is no space located right after the encoded password, repository work name, username etc.

  The table will give you a good idea of the properties that you can use for essbase.

  Planning properties are roughly the same that you would enter through web planning, so if you get stuck just journal in planning and check the properties on a dimension member.

• performance problem - Hyperion Planning and Weblogic

  I don't know if Hyperion Planning has a limitation on no.. user connections. We tried a performance test and found that Hyperion Planning can support around 400 to 500 connections to user under the Weblogic application server platform. We understand that Weblogic can usually take care of thousands of user connections, so we assume that it is the problems of Hyperion.
  
  We have a server configured with 16 GB of memory. But since Hyperion Planning can support max 2 GB, the memory is not the bottleneck.
  
  Has anyone tried the maximum number of user of Hyperion Planning under one server connections?

  You could easy find out by setting the max of the JVM to more than 2 GB, if the application server not dΘmarre, so I think it is 32-bit.

• Delivery of the order

  We have a requirement where total discount to order qualifier should consider point total + delivery + tax price.

  But currently is considering point promotion discount order total. How can we include shipping or taxes in the qualifier of total order.

  Please share your thoughts about the implementation of this scenario.

  It's what makes us to achieve

  1. replace findQualifyingOrder qualifier class method.

  2 copy shipping or taxes price info price order to object to price quote.

  3. call the super.findQualifyingOrder

  4. Once you get MatchingObject, reset shipping and tax in used to sell to the old value.

  Since pricing iteration takes more than once we always get the shipment value & tax corrrect in command price info object. The order total OOTB is the sum of the total + delivery + tax.

  So if your promotion is configured to check the total of the order as the qualifier, then promotion will apply if total + shipping + tax meets the value configured in promotion.

• Issue of Hyperion Planning Smart View with the names of the members & alias

  IM using Smart View "Essbase' connection to a worm 11.1.1.3, however the connection of essbase, Hyperion Planning Application I'm not able to select the view options smart to see the alias, the members or both. I change the setting (duplicate names allowed members = true) directly the properties of the sketch in EAS, and now I am able to see the names of borrowing, but if time I update it using web/workspace planning, this setting is cancelled. In addition I don't have something I should use with planning. Any comments?

  First of all, I hope that you have not changed the properties of the sketch in environmental assessments for a planning application.
  For more information on the use of pseudonyms in smartview have a read of:- Smartview - display options to display the names of the - alias
  Also you only will be able to view member name or alias not both at the same time.
