I am trying to use a C-6 Clickfree backup device, but get a message saying: it must be reset to Windows, but when I click to reset the Reset fails.

I associate this problem with an occasional crash and blue message indicating: detach the attempt to process valid but am not sure that there is a connection.  The computer will restart and run normally after the accident.  Reference Dell informs me that there is no hardware problem, so the problem is probably with the Windows operating system software.  The Clickfree C-6 normally work on another computer.
