I can't open Firefox. Home page comes up, I get just the reporter Crash asking me to restart/quit but every time I do the same message always comes back. I was not able to use Firefox for days now.
In recent days, we have a lot of crashes with Trusteer report. If you have this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the noise.
You can stop the report by using the Start Menu > programs > Trusteer report > report stop
You can ask their helpdesk when a version update of their products will be available or, if you do not need this software, uninstall.
http://www.Trusteer.com/support/en/report-problemIf you do not report, so we have a crash report ID. When you send a report of the Mozilla crash puts it right in a gigantic database. We have no way to seek without the ID of the report. I don't know what the problem is without searching the crash report. Please get the ID of your last report of the accident report.

I can't open Firefox. I am slot Win IE 8.1 opens immediately.
It started yesterday, but now is serious. Help, please.
Hi budcohen,
Make sure that nobody plays a practical joke on you by changing which opens your shortcut. Right click on your shortcut of Firefox and check the "Target" line on the shortcut tab. It should read:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
If you notice that the shortcut will be headed to another (for example ' iexplore.exe'), or delete the shortcut and make another change the target line to what I posted above. I'm not too familiar with Windows 8 interface, so if you create a new shortcut, it might be better if you take a peek at:
If the above doesn't help you, you can download the latest Firefox on the official website of Mozilla here:
- (for full installers in all languages) https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all/
When you uninstall Firefox from the control panel > programs and features, be sure not to delete personal information if you want to keep your bookmarks. After uninstalling, you must also remove the Firefox directory in Windows Explorer as well in order to remove any residual files issues the:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\
The information in your profile (including your bookmarks) are stored in a separate location so will not be affected by this deletion. If you want to stay on the good side, you can save your profile by following these guides:
- Backup and restore Firefox profiles information
- Bookmarks are specifically found in the file places.sqlite (see recovery of data from an old profile)
Let us know if it works!

When I try to open Firefox I get this message, the application could not start properly (0xc0000022). To open it, I have to do a restore to the previous version. A time to do an update and a reset, but neither helped. Once I close out I have to go the same way next time. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall because I don't want to lose my favorites. Someone has an idea?
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program has been implemented.
trust the previous version of Firefox, but not more acknowledges your
update as being approved. Now how do I solve the problem: to allow
Firefox to connect to the Internet- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (for example, you are using the latest version)
- Delete Firefox to list your program of trusted or recognized programs, then add it again. For detailed instructions, see
Configure the firewall so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

How can I open firefox in safe mode?
I can find is no longer a way to open firefox in safe mode, I was able to before the latest version
It's always the same, although it might be less easy to find the Help menu which is now in the '3-bar' list drop-down menu button Firefox -
Ive got a SabreMD report and I can't open firefox
I can't open it even in safe mode
You can open the Profile Manager?
Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problems.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

I can't open Firefox on my Satellite Pro A300
Satellite Pro A300 - Windows XP - I downloaded Firefox, but when I click to open it I get the icon of the hourglass for a while but eventualy it disappears and nothing happens. I use IExplorer without any problem, but I want to use Firefox as my preferred browser.
Can anyone suggest a solution please?
Hello

This means t t, you can launch the installation of Firefox or open Firefox as Internet Explorer? As writes Timox I think you should contact the Mozilla Firefox support. Who knows why the program doesn't start
By the way, and what you can try:
Download and install Firefox once again, it is perhaps only a corrupt file s and make sure that no firewall and AntiVirus is blocking the installation.Good luck! :)

After an upgrade, I can longer open Firefox
A systematic upgrade offer came through this morning and I accepted and continued to work on my PC. Later, I couldn't open Firefox using Desktop or programs. I restarted my PC with the same results. I thought of uninstall and reinstall but that maybe someone might offer a quick fix.
One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

I have to restart my computer to be able to connect and if I connect on firefox, the tray is always running, it only started to arrive this week, this is due to an update that does not work properly and there set you.

Cannot open firefox
You must close the windows with the Windows Task Manager.
- "Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
- Choose the Windows Task Manager
- Select the 'process '.
- Select firefox.exe with right click and narrow tree
When the installation is almost at the end, it will ask if you want that he start Firefox for you, if that's the case, refused the offer. Once the installation is complete, launch Firefox to your habit. Which reduces your chance to create a new profile and do not find your bookmarks, etc..
The proper way to close Firefox is with file > exit not with the 'X' at the top right which closes just the window. By properly closing Firefox, you will have to depend on less often have to 'force' windows to stop Firefox via the Windows Task Manager.
Please mark "resolved" a response that will better help others with a similar problem - hope it was her.

My office uses Windows 7 Professional, as shown above, that I need advice how to open Firefox. I tried to uninstall Firefox, but the same message, which is stated above and multiple reboots fail
I had the same problem after trying an update of Firefox 7.x to version 9.0.1.
I deleted the file named "firefox.exe.moz - upgrade" from the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox. After that, I was able to uninstall Firefox from the control panel. After the reboot, I was able to install Firefox 9.0.1 and run it without error.
My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I was installing the UK English version (I got the U.S. English version above). -

I use Firefox for several years on my G5 iMAC, running MAC OS 10.5.8. This morning, Firefox does not open. Tried to open it from the icon in the Applications folder, but does not always. Safari opens without difficulty. Tried to download Firefox again, thinking a file might have been corrupted, but new version is not compatible with my hardware of desktop computers. I find a compatible version of Firefox? My NAV for MAC security software is not interfering.
- Versions of Firefox 4 and later do not run a Mac PowerPC.
- Firefox 4 and later requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
For a non-official Firefox 4 compatible version (TenFourFox) which works on Mac PowerPC with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8, you can consult:
Firefox 3.6.x (Mac OS X 10.4 and later versions) can be found here:

Do not have access to firefox (my favorite browser) can not remove, uninstall or change profile, can't do a system restore (because firefox "run", cannot cut in System Manager - have tried all your tips help and searched the web...
You will find running in the Windows 7 Task Manager?
Press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC to call Task Manager.
On the Applications tab, all Firefox Windows visible will be listed. You can select each window, allows the switch, then close the window (if the window is not visible, try Ctrl + w which is the shortcut for "Close tab"). If all goes well, that will stop Firefox.
In this is not do, click the process tab. Here, you may need to click on "Image name" to sort the list. Then search for firefox.exe. To 'kill' or block this process, you can right click on it and complete the process.
I hope that this is rarely necessary. If you find that Firefox gets stuck in memory, often, he can be suspended during the shutdown, and we could look at why that might happen.
