I can't open my Quickbooks program, it does not recognize that I am under Internet Explorer 8.0.
QuickBooks suggests that I am out of the registry keys. I have the scanner at the prompt c: without success. I received a message that corrupted files can't be repaired, even if I was not asked to my installation CD.

Thanks for posting, as you might expect, there are troubleshooting you can undertake to check why the download does not work. It is highly possible that the source that you have downloaded from cannot be no longer works. Is there a site that you can check to see if it does not work for them either? Also where it is downloaded from?
Otherwise please see if scanitemswhendone is enabled: change what Firefox does when you click on or download a file
If download hangs at the last minute (just before reaching 100%), the cause may be an antivirus software that tries to parse the file and during this process the instance of Firefox crashes.
To resolve the issue, try disabling the analysis as follows:
- In the address bar, type Subject: config and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click on I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue on the subject: config page. A list of parameters must appear
- Filter the list by typing in the search bar at top. Enter scanWhenDone. Now you should find the "browser.download.scanWhenDone" preference.
- Double-click this preference to set the value to false.
- Then, try to download something and see if it still crashes.

So, I'm currently talking to my friend on Skype video call. It works well, she see me and I see it. However, I try to use my built in webcam that allows him to see me, and no other program won't even recognize that I have even a webcam. It's weird, I looked at my list 'scanners and cameras' as well as my list of devices and no of them say that I have a camera. This confuses me no end. I have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard and I can't open Adobe Photoshop. A window pops up that says "could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it was deleted)." All my other programs, such as Illustrator, are able to open. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Photo Gallery can't open this picture because you do not have permission to the location of the file asscess RJI recently started having the SAME problem. Windows Photo Viewer working wonder in the past months on the same exact images without any problems.
I suspect that Microsoft update the code somewhere which pushed as an update - what is now the cause of the problem.
As a diagnosis, I tried with the right button "open with...". "and chose the paint. The same file opened without any problem.
All the pictures are generated for all images without problem.
Still, Windows Photo Viewer cannot display ALL my image files. Paint has no problem.
Similarly, right click 'open with... '. "and choose Microsoft Office 2010. Loading the image without any problems.
If the original poster has the same success using other programs - then the problem is with the Windows Photo Viewer - Microsoft of not having it recognize permissions for the code or something.
It's on Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit. Latest updates applied Microsoft.
