I cannot print on my network wireless using my laptop Apple PowerBook G4 running OSX 10.4 Tiger

Hello, I have a printer HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium that works perfectly with all my computers except my PB G4 laptop running OS x 10.4 Tiger.  It seems that I have correctly configured the laptop to connect with thew printer, but when I try to print, I get an error message that the printer is unavailable or busy.  Is there a software fix or I need to install any software? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello

I'm afraid that the printer is only supported on Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, any old version is not supported.

You can find the system requirements below:

  • Unable to connect my P1102w printer to my network wireless (using Mac OS 10.6)

I have a home network wireless vanilla (D-Link to a cable modem) and a MacMini running OS 10.6.8. My Mac laptop and 4th. GEN iPad work seamlessly. But my attempt to long hours to connect my new HP P1102w network was totally frustrating, despite a careful study of the documentation pdf, device/self test the printer configuration sheet, sailing on this forum, I'm looking at a slew of videos YouTube/HP and following all sorts of directions.

The only consolation is the printer works fine on USB connection.

Here are a few questions I met and that stopped me in my tracks:

Carefully following both instructions pdf and video operating instructions online to HP, I get by step 6 w / no problemn. but then I go to step 7, which says:

"Under the Mode of Communication , Infrastructure -click, select your network SSID from the list of names of the network (SSID)" and then click on the button. ""

Problem is that there is nothing in this window. What I see is a State of the Wireless: enable or disabled (according to choice). And even if I try to select enabled, happening right now for people with reduced mobility. Aside: I note that the printed instructions show a copyright date of 2011. It's ancient history in the world of the CPU.

Other issues: the single IP address I can find for the printer is the IPv4 address, but it is only for direct printing Configuration. What is the IP I'm looking for?

Address of the printer hardward, I suppose, is your MAC? Boy, I sure could use better use of language here.

So, needless to say, I'm stuck. It seems that it takes THAT hard, but so far nothing that I could find on the HP support or forums seems to help. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

PS. I wouldn't go back this printer because I am a lover of HP printer, two decade, but alas, I might have if I can't find a solution.

    Dear Gemini02,

Thanks a lot for your helpful answer. It seems very complete, and I'm happy to give it a status of resolved problem, although I have not yet tried.  The reason is, one day before receiving your message, I benefited from technical support from HP that came with the guarantee of my printer (Oh!) I would have called them first before going on the forums. Lesson learned) and they took me in hand.

I quickly reached a support person surprisingly knowledgeable and helpful tech (work of the night in Manila, PI shift), and I quickly accepted allow access remotely to my Mac and printer. For much of the next hour she practically held my hand as she walked through a fairly complex set of steps (very similar to yours) and here!, the problem has been resolved. She later sent me the steps she helped me through, as follows:

  • HP 6500 E709n cannot print from Windows 7 wireless

I have 3 computers on my office network at home and a HP 6500 E709n with a wireless connection to the router. The printer does everything it's supposed to the XP machine. On the 2 computers running Windows 7, the printer will scan and fax but not print.

When I used the USB cable to connect the printer to a Windows 7 computer, the functions worked well. So, apparently, is not just a matter of having the right driver (and I now reinstalled Windows 7 driver twice after my hard disk cleanup at best). I've checked absolutely everything, and all the recognitions seems to work going both ways. But whenever I try to send a document to the printer to Windows 7, it just sits in the queue.

Other users have this problem? Is that what someone has solved? Thank you.

  • Cannot print over a network with Vista home

Hello I try to connecto my new laptop to my network wireless of office to share files and printers.  The new laptop is Vista Home 64 bit.  The printer is connectet to a PC with Windows xp and according to a person who does our netwirking the printer cannot talk to the 32-bit and 64-bit and tells me that I have to change for windows XP.  It does not sound right.  Apparently there is no driver for canon iR 1510-1670, which runs on a 64-bit processor.  Any help...

    Thank you

    Guillermo

If there is no Vista 64-bit drivers available for this Canon printer, you will need to spend the XP Canon printer to a compatible printer Vista 64 bit if you want to print from it.

Canon has written drivers for their products, not Microsoft.

Check yourself on the Canon Website driver as to what drivers are available for this printer:

  • Cannot print to a network printer after Windows 7 64 bit upgrade

I've recently updated one of my new PC from Vista Home Premium 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Since then, I not was able to print on my network printer, an HP Photosmart C7180 all-in-one, which is wireless on my home network. When this PC is Vista, I was able to print. Two other computers on my home network, both running XP, can access the printer on the network and printing.  This PC now on Windows 7 64-bit can find the network printer when I "Add a printer -" and I am able to complete the installation of the printer.  I downloaded and installed new drivers for the HP C7180 from the site Web HP specifically for Windows 7 64-bit, so I have the latest drivers.
I have NOT install the printer as a device shared on any of the computers, but rather want to be able to print from any of them, even if other computers are offline.
If I open and leave visible the print queue for the printer and then print a Test Page, I see the print job briefly showed the 'Impression' in the display of the print queue, but nothing ever reachs the printer. There is no message error, either during the process of adding the printer, or when sending the Test Pages, or other print jobs to the printer.
I have McAfee antivirus and firewall installed on my PC. Advanced Firewall setting for networks shows that the range of IP addresses for all my IP addresses are approved.
(I spent hours to reinstall the drivers and remove and reinstall the printer and spent a frustrating 2 additional hours with the help of HP without success. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.)

    Is your computer 7 32 or 64-bit?

Go to the HP website and download the Windows XP driver for 32-bit or 64-bit (depends on the version you have)

    Right click on computer

    Click on manage the

    go to Device Manager

right click on your device unknow (HP printer)

Click on set to update driver

Locate the *.inf you downloaded Epson (32 or 64-bit)

    Install the WinXP inf driver

  • C6280, win7 cannot print via active network with VPN

Hi, I have 2 PCs, one Vista, one on Win7. With Vista, I can print over the network.

Also, via USB on the win7 PC I can print.

But I can't print via active on the Win7 with VPN network. Without VPN, it works.

I had several problems with the installation of the SW. Finally it worked (I think I had to turn my VPN connection)

It recognizes the printer, the State says: ready, but when I print, I get an error after a while.

When I stop the VPN, I can print.

I tried to load the patch for Win 7 (recommended on HP circuit (printer disappears), but what it says that I don't have the SW right?)

    any idea?

    Hi ReneH,

I am pleased to hear that the problem has been resolved. Have a wonderful day.

  • 7515 printer is networked but used the laptop wireless printing.

Tried to reinstall software online version and CD. Rebooted the modem, router, printer and laptop in the sequence. tried the hp and doctor downloads hp diagnostic utility. Network appears on the printer as 'OK' and all the statistics in the reports are very good too. The network has only one name and is secure. What can I do for the new printer will appear and print from my laptop without using a USB cable?

    Frustrated, in California.

Yes! I solved my problem... I deleted the original software and reinstalled the software and now the printer will print wireless!

  • I cannot print to my photosmart C5280 of my laptop computer on the wireless network

I have a Toshiba L750 running the operating system of Windows 7 32 bit and I am unable to print on my HP Photosmart C5280 printer. The printer is connected to my desktop which works on Windows 7 64 - bit OS with an ethernet cable. The printer works fine from the desktop and the laptop captures the internet wireless via the modem attached to the Office so that the network connection seems to be OK. I am also able to access the shared files on the desktop hard drive of the laptop which again seems to confirm that the network connection is fine. I tried to update the drivers concerned and all seem to be up to date. Previously, I was able to print from the laptop, but for some reason any, that he will no longer work. I have installed the printer software from the original CD supplied with the printer on the laptop to see if that would solve the issue, but nothing helped. I uninstalled from this software. I am at a loss and frustrated. I have also been through the printer Troubleshooter and Microsoft MrFIXIT, to anything will do. Someone out there of the clues as to what could be causing my problem? I might also mention that HP laptop of my son is able to print to this printer without any problems.

Which, in my view, could have gone, it's that you used on your desktop printer sharing to allow other computers on your home network to access. Here's a video of Microsoft on how you can achieve:

Let me know if that solves the problem!

  • Suddenly, I can not connect to printer on home network wireless.

I have a Pro L7680 Officjet and we have a new installation of cable company in our House. We have 2 laptops and 1 desktop. All three share this printer and we had no problem. Since the installation, 1 laptop connects to the printer. Support cable co. was not able or willing to help, saying: it's not their fault. I get a message that the printer is offline, when other computers have no problem printing.

On the problem computer, go to control panel > printers and delete all instances of the printer.

Then, print a network Test Wireless at the front of the printer (network menu).  Note the IP address of the printer.

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the IP address of the printer. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.

  • Cannot print to a network via vpn printer

Installed an EnGenius ESR750H router and configure the L2TP VPN server and Win 7 SP1 VPN client.   The client connects and implements the VPN.

I can access the drives mapped to WHS v1 (Windows Home Server) and NAS (Network attached storage() and I can access the NAS login screen.

I can't access screen for the old DLink DIR-655 Router now used as a WAP only [wireless access point] connection.

I can't print the two printers on network at the office. LaserJets HP4000 & HP4050 with SNMP disabled in the configuration of printer Win7 - if on, they show offline.

And I can't RDC (Remote Desktop connection) the ESM.

A computer on the LAN Office can do anything, so everything works.

Some time back, I have all work by the VPN ESR750H - all this - and I was so happy to finally access.  At that time there I had not yet removed on the WHS VPN configuration.

Then the next day, a fool to UNRWA [the boss] decided to move things on a network segment and everything, including internet access, went to-well, you know where.  During the frenetic fray next I took the VPN of the WHS, but left the remote control to connect to.  More I have him help locate the bad wiring and bad switch causing the problem.

I could not even get it all back to what I had it one evening.  There must be something stupid.

The DRC to the WHS says the server error is not on, not available on the network, or is not remote connect lit, but the boss can rdc to the MSS on the local network.

Printers and the DIR-655 all come with the same message of troubleshooting when I go to IP addresses through the browser with the connected VPN.

(device) is detected and online but does not - does not not to connections on port 80, possibly firewall or do security policy issues - no problems with the firewall on my computer.

I tried port forwarding 80 printing - no joy.

    Thanks in advance.

    Bob

Installed Officejet 6500 a more like a wireless device. The Dell PC (Windows 7 64-bit), wired to the router, fine prints. • Cannot print from Internet Explorer 11 using HP LaserJet 200 color on Windows 7

Who would be able to help me?

When I want to print using Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 7 PC, I can select Preview before printing, but when I actually want to print, it gives the error:

"There was an internal error and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document."

This error only occurs when the 200 HP LaserJet color is selected.

I am able to print on our other HP printers, like the HP Color LaserJet CM4540 multifunction printers.

I am also able to print on a printer using Chrome.

If the problem seems to be related to Internet Explorer 11 in combination with 200 HP LaserJet color.

I tried the 'standard' measures to resolve the issue, such as:

    1. disable Internet Explorer Protected Mode

    2. the value Internet Explorer default browser

3 re-create the missing bass folder and define the level of integrity

    4. start Internet Explorer as an administrator

This does not resolve the issue.

    Please notify. Thanks in advance.

The problem is when I'm in (Parallels Desktop 8) mode of the virtual machine and I am trying to print from Windows 7.

Although it seems to be recognizing the printer it tells me the printer is "offline: 1 document waiting."

Parallels support pages say that printers should operate automatically.

    Can anyone help?

Looks a bit like a mixed configuration here, where you are using a Macintosh with Windows loaded on the system. My first question is on the profile that you are working with you have loaded the appropriate drivers on the site for the Windows machine? Here's a link to it:
