  I have Network Magic V. 5.1.9055.0, a G from Linksys WRT110 wireless router. Online at any time may be all or part of the next list computers/gamers, computer hand Win XP sp3 is connected to the router, Samsung clp300 printer lazer connected to the main computer as a server, Vista sp2 office connected to the Wii, PS3 wireless wireless router and laptop Vista sp2 wireless. Whenever the laptop wireless comes online, it will stop magic network until the wireless is fully initialized and online, it strikes all onlines offline until there is a full boot of the wireless.

  Very frustrating since we went all the cisco and spilled a belkin router that worked perfectly with the above configuration. (unfortunately I gave the belkin far and no longer have access to it or I would have released this new linksys and would be happy to once again) I don't understand why cisco units cannot work together in harmony?  In any case, I can't find any info on the help of linksys or the magical sites network which brings me to this forum.   I removed NM v5.1.9055 three computers and re-installed to v 5.5.9118. inserted my key and re started to each of them.   Presumably using your XP or Vista!

  You need to change network settings into the laptop to allow remote connections according to the directives of the wired connection.

  You will also need to make changes to the false firewall XP/Vista has as well.

  FYI: The WAP54G has no way to filter all network traffic, so the question is not to the AP.

• Unknown device on network adapter between the laptop and the wireless router

  I am running windows 7 64 bit on a laptop computer connected wireless to the router and internet.  The router is Linksys WRT160N connected to the internet.  The map of the network, there is a question mark device unknown between the laptop and the router.  However, I still have access to the internet.  In terms of network, if I hover over the laptop, it does not show an IP address.  It only shows the name of the computer and its MAC address.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Solved my problem.  I checked the button of the IPv6 protocol in the properties of a network connection on the laptop, and now I can see it's the IP address and the unknown device has been replaced by a switch and hub which is part of the router.   I do not uncheck the button IPV4.  I'm guessing that it is a bug in Windows 7 that you need to cut of ipV6 Protocol when you have a Win XP computer on the network if you want to see a map of own network.  As I said before, everything worked before, so this seems to be a cosmetic fix only.  I see that my shared files on the XP computer appear faster after a reboot.
