I does no change, I didn't download a document from my email (from a sender of confidence). I tried to start in safe mode, just, it restarts and goes back to the corrupted checksum display... Last known good config was the same result! The only error message is one that is in the title of this post, not others. Another detail, that I forgot to add is that it does not get insofar as a logo windows before it fails, just the toshiba start screen, then either passes the corrupt message checksum or a blue screen and restarts before I can read the text on the blue screen. Thanks for your response! Any additional help would be excellent if you can. In the meantime, I'll try your methods. Thanks againOK, I have now managed a Startup Repair trying over and over again. Model number: PSAGCA-02W010Vista won't load; have you tried to start repair; System Restore and boot in safe mode, none of them work. I get the error "error 0 x 80070570: the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."
I don't know what I did with my recovery CD; or if I even got one with my purchase (from Harvey Norman).

Satellite P200 Vista Ultimate - Extended desktop does not remain on the left
I can EXTEND my desktop to a second LCD on my Satellite P200 without problems - UNTIL I place it on the LEFT.
It will not retain this position (I need to reposition after every restart - this I can live with that).
But I use a KMV switch intensively, whenever I come back to the Satellite, the extended desktop is back on the right.

I think it s a display driver problem.
Try to update the graphics driver to the latest version.
If you will be late nothing on the European driver Toshiba page try to search on the site of Toshiba Canada and 3 websites of third parties such as www.omegadrivers.net or www.laptopvideo2go.comIf you will not find the latest drivers try this temporary fix.
Don t let the Windows Vista TMM to manage your multiple monitors.
Go to Task Scheduler, in the list of active tasks, find the line task TMM, turn it off - off on logon trigger (or delete - save/export task before you do), and then restart your windows. I hope it will work ;) -

Satellite A200 - Vista does not and only the mouse works
I have problem with Windows Vista SP1 on A200 (PSAE6E).
After the recovery of the DVD attached to computer system Vista laptop and running other programs sometimes not respond. Hard drive also stop working. One job of the mouse and the cursor moves on the screen, nothing else. ALT + CTRL + delete not work too only solution is hard power off by pressing and hold the switch.
Before recovering the system everything works fine. I noticed this Vista product key does not match that of the sticker. I have not changed key and no one else do not have access to my laptop, hard drive that is encrypted by TruceCryp.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P200 running Vista Ultimate.
Recently I started having a problem after restarting after the installation of vista updates. In fact, it will not start at all and gives me the following message on a black screen.
Windows could not start. A recent change in hardware or software can cause of bethe. To solve the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc, and then restart your computer
2. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
3. click on "repair your computer".If you do not have this disc contact your manufacturer aministrator or the computer of the help system.

The only way I can fix it to insert the recovery dvd and click on repair. This levonorgestrol only when the computer restarts after an update. If I manually turn off the computer, then on start up fine.

In my opinion, there is something wrong with your mater boot (MBR) of the drive and therefore the bootloader causes an error.
Usually, you might be able to fix it using the original disk of Vista but it s really strange that this problem still occurs after the update to vista.
In my eyes, you should really check if the same problem would happen using the Toshiba factory settings and configuration.
