the Wireless does not work. How do I trouble shoot?

Hey ivy59,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

To the wireless printer does not, I have included the document "printer does not maintain the wireless connection. Please follow the steps in order for best results.

If the steps above do not resolve the problem, you are able to connect the printer to the network wireless successfully? Are you the printer connected to a Windows or a Mac computer? It is the version of the operating system you are running. I've included the two documents below, if you need it.

Operating system Windows am I running?

  • Hi, I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more wireless printer and I get an 0X61011BED error code.

My printer shows an error 0x6101bed code and when he tries to print is a very loud rattling that lasts about 2-3 seconds until the paper jam error. I looked into the machine, but I don't see any paper stuck anywhere. What could be the problem and how can I solve this problem.

    Hello

If you think it's from the 'click 'sound, it could be transport associated cartridge.  In particular, as the carriage moves sideways.  Since your printer is only two weeks, if it was me... I would call technical support at 1-800-HPINVENT Center.  That they had additional troubleshooting to try.  In general, the value 0 x error messages have to do with the cartridges and appear on the front panel when printing and resets usually take care of the error message.

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more printing problems

My Officejet 6500 has more (model CN557A) is connected through the USB port.  My operating system is XP.    I can scan my computer, I can copy and print from the printer control panel, but I can't send anything to print from my computer.  This problem just started about 3 days ago.  I tried troubleshooting but I have not received the case.  I did not add new programs, and I have 194 GB free on my hard drive.

    Can anyone help?

N ° however, I accidentally discovered the problem.  I had a card reader connected to my computer to download pictures.  Apparently it disrupted the cycle of printing for my printer.  I removed the card reader and the printer works fine now.  Thank you for your response.

  • HP Officejet 6500 has more by using a different IP address than before

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more. Until yesterday, the printer worked wirelessly with my Mac OS 10.6.8 using the same IP address in IPv4 as the computer. I ran the HP Network Config page and it shows an IP address different today that it did. Is the message that I get when I send a document to print wireless: network host 192.168.1.101 is busy try again in 10 seconds.

I checked the IP address of the printer and it is 192.168.1.100 (not 101). Therefore, they do not speak with each other. I treated all the solutions that I can find on the HP network to see if I can get the two survey periods to match and nothing seems to work. I turned off, turn off router, off modem, printer is off, turned off computer and lit them all back. No help.

Any suggestions? Can I print using USB, but it's embarrassing.

Something doesn't look good - maybe that I misunderstood... You say above, your computer and your printer had the same IPaddress and, when this is the case, you were able to print. Now, the printer and the computer have different IP addresses and now, you are not able to print. If this summary is correct, that then it seems to me that it should be exactly the reverse.

If the IP addresses were the same, there is a conflict between devices, a bit like a mailman trying to deliver mail to two different locations which have the same addresses... What place receives the mail? It is normal for all network devices have their own unique IP address - how each device gets its own mail... or data packets.

From the sounds of things, your printer is 100 but the MAC OS think its 101. Therefore, the print job is sent to 101 and never happens at the printer. You have two options... tell the OS that the printer is located at 192.168.1.100 or that, to avoid this problem in the future, on the IP address of the printer a static address, just guessing anything below 100, as 192.168.1.50 and then specify the operating system that the printer is located to 192.168.1.50.

To make the choice of the latter, you must use your internet browser (Safari) and navigate to the 192.168.1.100 address. There is a web interface for your printer. Look for the network settings, then you can change the way that the IP address is obtained from dynamic (DHCP) static. And, after that, you need to find the IP of 192.168.1.50. It is also important to complete the subnet mask that will be 255.255.255.0. Finally, if your printer includes "web applications", you should also check the DNS addresses. You can use: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers) or 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS servers)

Note that when you save / apply the changes, you will lose your connection to the webinterface of the printer as the printer will have a new address. To return to the printer web interface, access the new static IP address.

As far as to say where actually the MAC OS printer, the simplest option, as appropriate, is to use the HP tool to add a network printer or a device. To do this, AFTER you change the IP address. The HP software will scan the network printer and it should give you a result that shows the printer to the new static IP address. Installing and if possible, the name of the printer with a few references of "static HP or the"HPat192.168.1.50"set as default printer and remove the old definition of HP printer.

The other option to speak the printer MAC must use Add a printer via system preferences > printer/Fax. I'm fairly certain that the MAC tools can analyze the LAN... in any case, it will be a more complicated procedure. Better for a user MAC more warned give assistance if you go this route.

    Hope this helps

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more fax keyboard disabled

    Hello experts,

I have a printer officejet 6500 has more, and I have questions sometimes when you send a fax.

In some cases, after dialing the phone number of receiver, automatic voice ask redirect the fax to a number given (eg. "dial 26 Fax").

Anyway, the keypad of the printer is disabled after dialing the phone number and I can not send the fax. How can I activate the keyboard when calling the digit numbers requested by automatic voice?

Hi there ofblack, welcome to the forums

I saw your post on the fax concern you have. First of all, I suggest you to check on the Page. 48 of the User Guide , which is to monitor dial to see if this information will help you. As long as you enter the numbers fast enough, the fax needs to work with the numbering screen, otherwise, you will need to use the phone to enter all the guests under send a fax manually from a phone.

This guide is the standard troubleshooting for fax so that might help: I can't send or receive faxes

  • Apple Airprint for HP Officejet 6500 has more via a wired connection to the router

    Hello

So I did a considerable amount of research in this through the internet and this forum and I still struggle to find a satisfactory solution.

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a more connected by ethernet to my BT Homehub 3.

It is I understand that even if there is a wired connection, as long as my iOS device (iPad 2 or iPhone 5) is connected to the same router, I should still be able to see this Officejet thanks to ease of airprint.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I get the message "No Airprint Printers Found" on both devices. The only way I managed to get my Mac Pro (Mavericks) to connect has been add to mannualy by using the IP address of the printer.

Can anyone provide guidance on what I might hurt? Certainly, the printer must connect internet I can print from my iOS devices using HP ePrint app for iOS.

Some might say, well, what's the problem, just use the HP application, but is not the point. I think that if something has been set up to make things easier, then use it. I chose this printer specifically for this feature is a bit frustrating for her so difficult to get the desired results.

Hope it is something simple and anyone can help you.

    Thank you

    Steve

Following this request and reading the many more similar questions, I think I may have solved this.

I'm not 100% sure but I read a few threads suggests that there are issues around BT Homehub 3 and Hello so this can be a problem.

I tried the following in the past two days...

    (1) completely don't reset my router (wiped all settings and started)-no luck!

    (2) I tried changing to WPA2 to just WPA security - no luck!

    (3) tried to convey the Hello to the printer ports - no luck!

    (4) turn off the router, printer and all the devices iOS then fed back router, printer, then iOS devices - printer appears on iOS devices, but when printing was selected iOS device returned on several occasions not connected printer error.

Finally, what seems to have made (at least for now) has been...

    (1) disconnected the Officejet ethernet and set up as wireless.

    (2) off voltage router, printer and all iOS devices then propelled upward in the order listed previously.

    (3) so far, I tried to print a mail and a web page of my iOS devices, and both have been successful.

By the way I've been struggling also to airplay from my iPhone / iPad until I started messing around with the settings above, and now this question also seems to be resolved.

Due to the variety of combinations (different printers, routers, etc.) people will have, it seems to be quite difficult to find a solution that solves a single problem but I hope some of my experiences and findings could help others in some way.

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more - Scan-to-Computer tasks can be reorganized or renamed?

I have a HP OfficeJet 6500 has more (E710n-z) and have implemented the Scan of the computer which works very well.

When I turn on the scan-to-computer of the screen of the printer, there are six different choices for the analysis-'Save as PDF,' 'Save as JPEG,' etc..

Three appear on the first screen, and I have to scroll down to get over the next three years.

    My Questions are:

    1. Is there a way to rearrange the scan tasks so that I can change which three appear on the first screen of the printer?
    2. Is there a way to change the names of the tasks of the computer analysis?

I'm on a Mac running (OSX 10.8.2) Mountain Lion

Sorry, there is not a way to change the order on the display of the scan task.

Also, you cannot change the name of the actual analysis to the task of the computer. The only thing you can change is the name real analysis of the case, sorry.

  • HP printer Assistant opens two notebooks on HP Officejet 6500 a more instead of the wizard

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more used with Windows Vista 32-bit, and wireless. When I click on the printer icon to open the Printer Wizard, it opens two documents Notepad instead.  The first is the HPSPProgress.hta - block-notes, and the second is the HPSolutionsPortal.hta - block-notes.  I used the control panel to uninstall the printer and then went to HP.com to reinstall the printer twice.  This has not changed the problem.  I also have a laptop computer that prints on the same printer wireless and everything works fine.  When I click the icon on it, it gets the necessary information, and then opens the Printer Wizard.  Is there something that I am missing here or what I would do.  I also ran the tools of diagnosis HP printer and it returns the printer works properly. There has been no other changes or programs installed before the occurrence of the issue.

    Hi stwy2hvn,

I'd take a peek at this post by pcwizard.  This solution has worked for others.  Let me know how it goes.

  • HP Officejet 6500 has more EZ710nz

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a more printer connected via the connecting cable from printer to my new laptop, in Windows 7 Home Premium.  This printer takes very, very long to "warm up" (2-3 minutes) and, in doing so, made a lot of noise. The sounds of noise like something spinning and moving inside and is pretty loud.

I checked all the ink cartridges, etc., and everything works fine and seems to be in order.  Does anyone know if this LONG heating period and the NOISE that accompanies it is normal?

The noise is normal and is the maintenance printer printheads to ensure that they will not be blocked when printing. See here for more information.

To minimise this, do not remove the power of the printer, it should be plugged into a live outlet.  You can leave the printer turned on (it will automatically enter a low-power state when the don't print not) or turn off the power button on the printer.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a more impossible to connect to the server

My HP Officejet 6500 a more printer was connected to my wireless network and was attached to the ePrint service; and I had an email address to send prints to my printer. But today, when I go to the ePrint, it shows that my printer is NOT connected to the SERVER!

He invites me to go to the Setup menu option / Services Web Setup / email address Panel on the printer display. And, when I do that, it shows me: "you can connect the printer to the itenrnet through a proxy server and touch the ENTER PROXY button! I do not know what Proxy Server, he is asked? And when I get soemthing, it then asks a PORT number! Still, I don't know what is the Port! My printer is still connected to my home wireless network.

Then I went back to HP ePrintCenter page and REMOVED my printer and then tried to ADD a printer, but, now, he asks me to "enter the printing Code.

When I tried to enter the print code I had on the file, it says that the code was not valid; the codes are ONLY good for 24 hours, and I have to get a new printing code to return to the configuration of the printer menu steps described above!

Looks like I'm stuck in a vicious circle.

I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

To correct the unable to connect to a web server error. I'd start by power cycling the router and the printer. If still we get the error that I will then try to put a static DNS server built-in web printer (EWS).

    To power cycle the router:

    1. unplug the router (most do not have a power button) and then put
the printer off using the power button
    2. wait 30 seconds
3 plug in the router, wait until it is completely upward and the operation.
    4 turn on printer
    5. after the printer is completely top and operational reattempt to connect to web services

If after that, you still get the error message, I had put the static DNS. To do this:
1 get the IP address of the printer, and then make a browser (IE, Chrome, any browser you want) and enter
IP address of the printer in the address bar. This will bring up the SEWS
    2. search for the network titled tab and click on it
    3. then click on IPv4 in the left column, wired / wireless depend on the connection, if connected by Ethernet
    Choose wired, wireless select wireless
    4. when loading this page watch the second part entitled 'Configuration of the DNS addresses' change this radio
Manual button and change the DNS preferred manual to 8.8.8.8 and manual to auxiliary DNS
8.8.4.4 and then click on apply.
    5. pay particular attention the following screen which appears this message usually is a way to undo changes only
made by clicking on the OK"" button. Avoid this by clicking another tab
or just leave it until you close it.
6 turn the printer of the cycle and then turn it back on
    7. once the printer is back on and retry operation, activate web
services and reprint information page so that you can get a new code and add your printer back to ePrint Center. You will need to create a new e-mail address for the printer.

  • HP Officejet 6500 has MORE E709a double SIDED AUTOMATIC printing

    Hello
My HP Officejet 6500 a PLUS E709a printer allows you to print automatically on both sides and now I have to do it manually. I tried to implement the duplex preferences automatically and the option is no longer there. I use a Windows 7 operating system

    It is now more clear...

The HP Officejet 6500 has more (E710n) provide automatic duplex printing.

For some reason, you have a different printer driver to a different model which do not provide for printing automatic duplex (HP Officejet 6500 (E709a).

Be sure to remove the existing of the 6500 E709a by right clicking the icon. then click on remove the device and restart the PC.

Click Start > all programs > HP

Can see you the HP Officejet 6500 has more (E710n) listed?

If so, rnter this folder and click on reconfigure device / device update / update IP address and follow the steps to reconfigure the device.

If you can see only the HP Officejet 6500 (E709a) listed, it means that you have incorrectly installed software.

Make sure to remove the installed printer software HP through the control panel > Profgrams and features > uninstall a program.
