  Thank you for the information. At this point, printing a page and still get the error for carriage Jam message. I've included a link to another HP Forum post that you can try, "jam of transport will not be deleted. Please follow the steps described by Bob_Headrick.

  For half a page of printing, it starts printing the top of the page and then stops? You have to pull the rest of the page printing? Or it sounds like it is printing the rest of the page, but comes out blank?

  You can call our support lines to check if the printer can be repaired and how much he would run to fix the unit. The other option you have is to contact support and check in the trade trade program.

  Windows7 does not recognize the newly installed software & more like another package: "HPPhotosmartEssentials.msi", which he says he can't find.

  Instruction was also found on the HP Web site: "Locate & install the .msi file is missing file in the Temp of your computer folder", but there is no msi file in the Temp folder (download goes to the downloads folder).

  Please response ASAP - I cannot USE MY PHOTOSMART2575 MORE scanning DOCUMENTS and have lost DAYS on this - making circles in the round...

  Sorry to say your advice has not solved my problem - but received a phone call the week last of Henry of HP at Gateshead (n. of England) support.

  After 4 hours or more (he missed his lunch...!) firmly on the phone and computer being "picked up" remote, it has removed HP all THE files on my computer (HP Mini) and then reloaded OLD original software for 2575 with updates,... Finally got all-in-one scan with the HP Mini success - so big thanks to Henry at Gateshead for his help there... :-)

  Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I am pleased to hear that the issue of alignment has been resolved. However, because you get the message when copying or scanning that has occurred a "failure" and you screen gets stuck on 'Cancel' for the copy, you experience a hardware failure with your copy/scan inside your printer mechanism.

  Because the programming of your printer control the scanning/copying mechanism, I checked in an update of Firmware for your product to see if there was an update available in the corrupt case programming was causing your issue. Unfortunately, due to the age of your product, it is not these updates.

  You also mentioned that you did a semi Full reset programming on your printer, nothing helps.

  At this point, I will provide you the failure of scan standard troubleshooting steps to see if there is a chance to solve this problem.

  Step 1: Power Reset:

  1. With the printer, unplug the cable from power for 30 seconds
  2. After that 30 seconds reconnect the power cable from back in
  3. The printer should return its own
  4. Once the printer returns to the ready state, again test the copy feature.

  Step 2: Verification of power:

  Power strips and surge protectors can cause HP printers do not work properly because they can run out of power. To ensure that a power problem is not causing your Scanner failure, please plug the unit directly into the wall outlet.

  Once your printer is directly to a wall jack please test again the copy function. If the problem persists, please continue to the next step.

  Step 3: Check the Scanner Bar and light:

  1. Feed your printer
  2. Lift the lid flat on your printer and click the copy button
  3. Check if the scanner bar is moving or if the scanner lamp turns on.

  Source: A "Failure of scan" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

  If there is no response from the mechanism of scanning, the last step would be the printer to service.

  At this point, if the problem persists I suggest you contact the Technical Support queue by phone to explore additional options.

  I understand that you have tried printing HP and doctor Scan, but it does not work.  Please follow the steps below to completely uninstall the printer and reinstall it again.

  1. Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type % temp %
  2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
  3. The new software - uninstall the printer software Instructions
  4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
  5. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
  • Hold down the key of the Windows Logo on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run
  • In the Open box, type msiexec /Unregister, and then click OK.
  • Hold down the key of the Windows Logo on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run
  • In the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then click OK

  * Note: there is a space between the c and the /.

  If you do not at this stage, use this link to perform another way. Restart Windows install

  1. Run the system Accessories\ tool disk cleanup <> How to delete files using disk cleanup
  2. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

• I have a HP Photosmart 3200 all-in-one. New Catrigies are only a few (about 10) impressions

  My printer is an all-in-one HP Photosmart 3200. I only needs for a number of printed documents smaall, while the printer is inactive in longer periods.

  After you install original HP Color catrigies I can print only about 10 pages A4 prior to the like of the printer with the message: unable to print, replace catrigies, not enough ink for printing.

  Looks like you are having some problems with the ink system. To start I'll make some recommendations for the maintenance of the printer. In general, if you won't be using the printer for an extended period of time you have to remove the cartridges and put them in a ziplock bag. I would recommend that you put the cartridges in once every few weeks (I would say no more than two) and print something small that uses all colors. This should keep the cartridges and print heads so that it does not dry.

  Revitalizing your cartridges, you can try running the Auto print head and cartridge cleaning process. I would like to make this step more than three times to see if it improves the responsiveness of your cartridge.

  This machine has a removable-printhead or a basket that the ink is in?

  When you copy and scan the documents that they are not stored on this device. The only concern I have, is if your printer is capable of fax, which he did not. If this printer has a slot for memory cards, please remove it before throwing the printer.
