  Have you checked to see if your laptop model has a physical button around the mouse pad that allows & turns off?  If it does not, many cell phones often have a software switch that can toggle the on & off power mouse pad.  It is usually triggered by a combination of function keys (key Fn + one of the F1 to F12 keys).

  Take a close look at the row of the top of your keyboard and see if you can find a key that has a small symbol that looks like a mouse pad.  If you find one, try pressing it in combination with your Fn key to see if your mouse pad features returns.

  I have a L500D (I got it for about 2 months now) and yesterday I realized that my webcam did not work properly even if it worked just fine a couple of days.

  Here's the problem: when I turn it on (via Skype or through application of camera web toshiba), the colors are reversed: it's exactly like I had added an effect on the image as 'Posterize' or 'threshold '. Everything is bright, grainy, saturated...

  I tried in low light and high, and the night mode is not on.
  I couldn't solve the problem with the webcam settings, but regardless, I, can not do anywhere near a normal image.

  I spent a lot of time surfing the web but couldn't find a solution (or someone with a similar problem, in fact). I have windows 7 64 bit.

  Can you please describe the steps how you try to do this? I have to ask you this question because it works fine on my laptop. When the recording is finished Player opens and you can see saved the film. This is the avi format and at the top of this player, you can see the path where the film is recorded.

  Strangest thing for me, is that you can not use it with Skype. OK for MSN is not perfect, but there is absolutely no problem with Skype. Make sure the settings and it should work somehow.

  I have a Dell XPS 15, and the built-in webcam worked perfectly, until the Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (1.131.1448.0) update that happened.   Windows 7 is guess to provide the drivers of webcam for most Dell computers, except some XPS models. Go to the drivers & downloads type your service tag, then your service number. Under entry, webcam drivers should be there.

For instances when I press F1 and F2 buttons my brightness will not upwards or downwards, I can't lock the touchpad more then now the cursour jumps around.
