Sansa Fuze won't turn on.

I just got my Sansa Fuze (4 GB, black) in the mail from Amazon, and it won't turn on or start. I tried to plug it into my windows, and he replied make it really hot and then gives me an error message, something along the lines of "Windows does not recognize the USB device. I went through all the troubleshooting/knowledge base of Sansa advice, and it still doesn't work. I was trying so plug into my Linux workspace after several internet sources tol me that the unit would work with Linux, but it has yet to give me anything. I used the command "lsusb" on Linux, does not, the "rocket" does not even appear in the work. Any help will be greaty appreciated!

OK, so I put a video that I made using the Sansa Media Converter. I made the video in one. AVI using SUPER and put the file in SMC. I waited on hidden. I'll be back and conversion was hung and stopped at 74. It wasn't a huge deal. It's happened before. I decided to come back in a bit to see if it continues the conversion. When I came back, my drive was off and the percentage bar had not moved. I removed the player and tried to turn it on. It turned on and "refreshed media." Immediately after, however, it stops immediately. I tried a soft reset (button / waiting for 15-60 seconds) and he came for a few seconds only to stop again. More funny thing is though, it actually stopped by itself. He even went to the screen 'goodbye'. Now it won't even turn. He lights and turn off by itself. Sometimes I can turn on soft reset, only that it is black screen. Even when I plug it to my computer, it will be either turn on, black screen after a few seconds or not at all.

    Player: Sansa Fuze 8 GB

    Computer OS: Windows XP SP2

    Firmware: 1.01.15

Please, I beg you. This will be my second player perfect condition which has out crapped on my Sansa. I had an e2600 who had a hard drive failure after only 8 months. If I have a solution that States "buy a new player", I'm afraid I have to leave Sansa.

Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

Very well. I think I finally found the problem of this. The problem seems to lie in the SCM. It seems very harmful effects if during a conversion process, the computer transfers to virtual memory. An update of the firmware seems to correct this problem. Again, I will never video convert on this computer.

I'll give this time, Sansa. Is not your fault.

  • Sansa fuze will not turn on or charge

My sansa fuze was working fine until one day when he suddenly cut off and since it lights up for about 10 seconds and cut again once

Time of a call to the Technical Support Center of SanDisk. If they can't get you Goin ' again, they can get the replacement to the title of their current 1-year warranty.

Note: SanDisk is in the middle of changing over their customer support to a new system, so it may take a little longer than usual to get your replacement, if necessary.

  • Fuze won't turn.

I was listening to my ROCKET while walking around the city, and I stopped only to resume again a few minutes later to find he had himself cut, one would not come back. IT didn't take a fall or come into contact with any liquid. I gave her a load when I arrived home, but still nothing.

Probably, what could have caused this? Is it possible to unlock it?

Ah pressed the switch for centuries and then it worked again sorry about that.

Furthermore, is anyway that I can replace the cover? It's got terrible scratched.

  • How can I turn off the Sansa Fuze

I just got a 8 GB Sansa Fuze now for Christmas, and I used it for 15 minutes between put some music on it and put it back into my computer, I deeply loved it.

Now I feel really embarrassed to ask this question because I use a computer for 15 years and have been using MP3 plays since 1999.

How can I turn off the Sansa Fuze? He said nothing in the manual. What combination of buttons/menu setting to turn it off?

    THX

Don't be shy, I had a similar experience when I used Sansa.

Keep the right sliding button for a second or two to turn it off.

The key is to keep for a while.

  • Sansa Fuze 8 G is no longer grateful SanDisk external memory and locks upwards if I try to used.

I have a G 8 rocket and recently bought a SanDisk 8 GB Micro SD HC.  I had loaded movies and music on the SanDisk via Rhapsody map.   Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago.   My PC no longer sees the external memory through Rhapsody or my counter top.  In addition, if I plug in the card and turn on the "rocket" - it freezes and won't turn on.

In reading the comments, I have tried the following with these results:

Re formatted Fuze - still does not recognize external san disk card

settings changed to PSG - no change of pc or rocket

changed the parameters of meteorological service of Canada - no change to detonators - pc show an "external drive" additional but unable to do something - States "insert disk" when selected in my computer.

Not sure if it's the Sandisk 8 gb card or the "rocket".

The "rocket" lights up normally without the card inserted?

And you are sure that the card is at bottom, clicked in?

Can you see if something else will read the card - a cell phone, a camera, your computer through a drive?

When I had this problem with my rocket I ended up re-formatting of the "rocket", which you say you did.

You could also put at level or downgrade of firmware by following the instructions in the manual in the Firmware update note: just get the file (if possible x.x.26), unzip and place the fuzea.bin file in the directory root (the Sansa drive letter). He will say that it is the firmware update when you disconnect.

    http://forums.SanDisk.com/Sansa/board/message?board.ID=sansafuse&thread.ID=33874

And Yes, it could be the card. And it could be the card slot - which is what I thought that my problem is that when I formatted.

If one is the problem, you will have to replace the broken hardware. But that's what I thought I would have to do until the Format and the fixed firmware my friends, so don't give up yet.

  • Sansa Fuze stuck on the white screen after disconnecting.

Once I unplugged my Sansa Fuze on my PS3, it got stuck on a white screen. None of the buttons worked and I couldn't turn it off. I decided that the only thing I could do was to let the battery die and charge it again. Finally, he died and I plugged it in, it loads to full is the same thing. So I tried again, except I only left it plugged in for a while and disconnected. My music has arisen and it seems to work, but it stops immediately by the lack of power. Now no matter what I have plug in, it lights at all. I connected it to my computer and installed the drivers for it, but the rocket itself did not come, and the computer says it has malfunctioned and pilots have not been recognized. So now I can't listen to my music or anything like that. Help?

Drag the spring-loaded power switch in the highest position for 20-30 seconds. (note that in extreme cases it can sometimes it may take a minute). Release and see if it boots normally.

  • Freezing Sansa Fuze problem

I have a 4 GB Sansa Fuze with the latest firmware and after about 6 months, he started to have this problem of gel. I don't know what happened exactly, but I unplugged it from my PC once, and when he went to 'Media refreshing' just of freezes and does not load. And now, when I plug it into my PC, it freezes on the screen that says 'Written' and hangs whenever I log on my user account. I believe that this is due to a damaged file from when I had a virus problem, however, because when it connects to my PC, it won't let me format.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I could get my rocket using my Xbox 360 work. That's what I did:

    (1) I have connected to the USB cable from the "rocket" and then connected it to the USB for 360.

    (2) I went to my Xbox, the Control Panel, memory

    (3) I clicked the USB storage device and you click on configure to 360 (to 256 MB)

The Xbox managed to erase all data, including files that never seemed to corrupt, and got, it works again. You may want to format again when you use your PC, or install a new firmware, because the device has been configured for Windows use after you configure it the 360

  • Sansa Fuze Skip Song

1 month ago I bought a Sansa Fuze 4 GB, and I really liked it.  In that first month, I transferred music from Microsoft Media Player for the "rocket" with no problems and I also played music without any problem, so I see no problem.  Everything seemed to be working great until last night when I installed the new firmware.

I installed the new firmware using the request for the Installation of the Firmware Sansa. After installing the new firmware, I had to Resync my library.  I noticed after the resynchronization when I played music, many songs on the "rocket" should be ignored.  For example, I would play the ABC song after song what ABC ended, I see the image of the song DEF, but song THAT DEF would not play and the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.  If I tried to navigate back to the song (DEF), which was initially ignored, should be displayed, but the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.

If I tried to navigate directly to the song ignored interface of rocket, the song wouldn't play.  Artist ZYX has several songs in their folder.  If I chose to play all the songs of this specific artist, the "rocket" would skip infinitely without playing any music.

Also, after I updated the firmware, I noticed all my music was removed from the "rocket" and my GoList was empty.

Does anyone have recommendations on how to solve these problems?

    Update

I tried the "rocket" by sliding the spring power switch on the side to the top as if you turn on the device, but hold position for 20-30 seconds as described here http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=sansafuse&thread.id=44242, but he did not rest.

    Thank you

    BarDev

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I have connected the "rocket" to my computer and was able to play a song on my computer from the "rocket" which was previous fried.

I formatted the disk.  After formatting the drive, I resynced the "rocket" Media Player.  Now, everything seems to work.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Sansa fuze doesn't recognize the storage capacity all and does not load?

My 8 gb sansa Fuze only recognizes about 400 MB and will no more. It is just over a year and has worked well before. Nor my sansa fuze or clip will hold most any kind of a charge. The clip is about 2 years old. I recently bought a new computer and I am running windows xp. The two sansas stopped working after I tried to load them into my new pc. What could have caused this and how can I solve this problem? Thank you.

You can have a file in there that stifles the Sansa, wielding Media update. If it gets stuck, hold the power button and keep it for 20 seconds after the screen turns off.

Your update is probably spent the USB mode to automatic detection, which will be a PSG connection if it detects Windows 10 or 11 on your computer - but XP comes with WMP 9 unless you have updated, that would send Auto Detect Meteorological Service of the Canada in the event where it is not working properly.

I suggest reloading the firmware, just in case. Search in the firmware upgrade instructions near the top of the first page of the forum force MSC for the upgrade.

Then choose a mode - MTP or MSC, depending on what you are used to - rather than the automatic detection function.

And if it remains stuck, while you are using MSC run Error Correction. Right-click on the drive, properties, tools, error checking. He might find a problem file.

  • No sound coming out of my Sansa Fuze

Hello, I got my sansa fuze 4 GB last year and he spent the time of limited warranty. I turned on my rocket today and I didn't hear any noise. I made sure the helmet worked, it was completely plugged, the music was playing and the volume has been mounted. I still have no sound. All I heard was a thud in my headphones every second. He would thump from the moment where I turn it on until I turn it off again. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you

You could try to reinstall the firmware and maybe formatting (will erase all the files that you put on, you will need to re-charge). Otherwise, it's probably toast.

  • Sansa Fuze 4 G v.2.02.28a wrong with gel, formatted and reinstalled the firmware

My sansa fuze has been freezing since update firmware a couple of months.  Sometimes he would set himself, when I rebooted, but it gets progressively worse.

Today it froze to the homescreen as usual, but I could not turn on after I restarted several times, after many trials, I could connect to my pc without the "rocket" freezing at the login screen. I decided to format it through my pc and I also reformatted it on the player as well. I have not reformatted it since adapting if I was trying to avoid having my deleted files. Meanwhile, I looked in the forums to apply solutions that have worked for others in the same situation.

Here are some of my problems I think to make this kind of odd. Windows tells me is no longer a memory, internal and external, it reads the interns as F: drive and the external slot as drive G:

Also, I have a napster to Go account that I use for a year now synchronized with this player and he wrote the unit (the "rocket") is not compatible, and I tried the update of napster to see if that was the problem, but napster has been giving me trouble since the new update with the firmware of the rocket. However, now I am not able to re - download my music files without paying the full price for one without a subscription.

I think that the problem comes from the "rocket" as opposed to my napster account. Any information on this would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried switching USB (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode) mode to PSG?

If not, why not roll back manually. Just unzip the firmware.26 and drop the .bin file in the drive of the rocket.

  • Sansa Fuze attached to my docking station

    Hello

Initially, I got an iPod touch and he hated. (Due to the process running in the background kills the battery time more so than if I was listening to just mp3s.)

So I just bought a Sansa Fuze for a realitively cheap off a merchant online and I expect to soon.

    My question is...

I have an iPod dock which is also a radio and it has the iPod base and the setting of the radio, but also has a cable to THE outputs.

I was wondering if I made a playlist on the Sansa fuze and attached the Sansa Fuze to the iPod via the port dock to THE and kept the playlist on the shuffle affecting all night and when the alarm turns on the time I put to him, I have here would be the songs through the reading list since technically the speakers had to be activated so?

I let just the sansa fuze on the wall charger, I also bought.

I think it would work, what do you think?

Thank you very much for your help.

  • Sansa Fuze 8 GB guaranteed

I have a sansa fuze 8 GB and every time I use the music starts to jump, the screen moves really slow and when I turn off the Goodbye screen stays on for a minute or two.

I'm looking for, so for the warranty I hope, return it and get a new. Please and thank you!

You can return it to the store? First try. If this isn't the case, you must create an account E-box on the regular SanDisk Site and communicate with them on an RMA number.
