I managed to uninstall my acrobat pro, but my adobe application manager seems to think that I still have it. I do not see how to download it from adobe and re install. Can anyone help? Thanks to all of you who tried to help him. I thank can I have managed to sort it out. It seems that I can not have uninstalled initially, but I could not access the program and all my pdfs, opens in preview. I found another uninstall program that seems to have done the trick as my adobe application manager is now let me download.

I don't know what to do. I'm trying to download a trial version of A.I., but when downloading, my adobe application manager keeps trying to update but will not exceed 10%. I can't access anything on my manager. I tried to re download the program, but the same problem persists. What are my options?

There are two updates for Mac for the "Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update' so it can be downloaded manually. Unfortunately for Windows users there is no manual download when the "Adobe Application Manager" is unable to install the required update. I just did a clean install and 'MAA' failure on all the required updates for CS5, so I got the updates of the software form the support pages. Problems updating Adobe Application Manager
I noticed that many users see problems with a recent update for Adobe Application Manager. I too saw those questions and hoping to find what's happening built a clean build cool Windows 7 x 64 to test.
- Install Windows 7 x 64 and all updates.
- CS6 installed and active. (NO cloud creative - perpetual license.)
- At open Fireworks and ran to HELP. UPDATES.
- Choose just the AAM update and installed.
- Clicked on the new AAM shortcut on desktop and was awarded a progress bar and the message "Update"... ».
- The following error message appears: "Adobe Application Manager failed to install.
- Re-run the installer generates the same error.
- MAO traveled with Fireworks HELP | UPDATES.
- Update is fine. Updated the other applications of CS6.
- Restarted.
- Tried again the AAM shortcut on desktop. Update the message came again and so did error message.
- Tried running AAM directly from the browser by using "Run as Admin" - same error message. (This seems to actually work on my production system - the update is complete on this system, although it installed the client of creative cloud too that I then had to uninstall).
Keep in mind, this is a version of Windows 7 x 64 completely clean. There is no software antivirus or something else that could disrupt the MAO update procedure. Something with the recent update seems to cause problems. A fellow Robains forum user posted in another discussion that his analysis of the installation routine seems to indicate a problem of privilidge of HTML 5 in the installation/update routine. I can't give a second with his analysis, but it can give Adobe something to look into.
If other users see this unusual behavior (should have occurred recently, in the last two days about)-, feel free to post it here to describe your environment. Is currently seen on both Mac and PC platforms.

El Capitan cause strange behaviour, especially problems with older software. As you may know, CS5 is end of life and has not been tested on the latest operating systems like OS X 10.11. There is no warranty, so that it will work. That said, there are several things we can try.
First, El Capitan has caused some problems with the downloads due to its default security settings. Sometimes the questions like the one you experienced when you tried to download direct updates can be corrected by changing the settings temporarily.
- Go to the Apple icon in the menu bar and select "System Preferences."
- Click the "Security & Privacy" and make sure the "Général" tab is active.
- If the lock at the bottom of the menu is closed, click Unlock. You may be prompted to enter the password for your computer.
- Under "allow downloaded applications from" check the rocker next to "Anywhere".
Once you have made this change, try again to download the updates manually from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/. If you are able to apply updates, don't forget to reset your security settings to your preferred level, once you're done.
Still no luck? Let us know if you receive any kind of change in the error message or if it's exactly the same thing, and then we will continue accordingly.

I have CS5 running on Windows 7 with Adobe Application Manager and I have ben notified and installed the software updates very well for the last 18 months. But there are a few days the Adobe Application Manager informed me of an update and every time I have try and install the update it gives me the following error after downloading the patch 'a mistake to is updated. Quit and try again later. Error code: U43M1D207. »
I tried several times the update even after restarting the system. It seems to me that it is an update for Adobe Application Manager itself.
Any thoughts?
If not I can remove this app, so I can get rid of the annoying icon on the bar telling me tasks, I have an update avialble who can't be implemented?

I went into the preferences for the application manager and the saw was both CS5 and CS6 products listed and so I just disabled all CS6 products and he said no update available and the icon went away. I also see in the preferences, you have the option to disable the icon in the task bar if you don't want to tell their updates.
