Need help, troubleshooting a LAN hotel (captive portal)
This problem is not specific to Firefox, but I'm trying to see how I can use Firefox debugging features to solve a network problem. I stay in a hotel in China that uses a so-called "captive portal" to authenticate individuals before using the network. (This means that his first action navigation is redirected to the web page of the hotel for entering login information - as is often done in cafes, etc.). Using my own laptop, the redirect works if I use wifi and fails if I use the network cable (Firefox and IE both give the same result). I want my PC to work in both cases (and, in fact, it worked the day before by using a network cable to another location in the same hotel chain, which also uses what seems to be the same system of redirection). The hotel staff showed me that a PC provided by the hotel will work with the cable. So from their point of view, something is wrong with my PC, and from my point of view, something is wrong with their network. I need to know who he is.
I enabled HTTP logging in Firefox on my PC. I noticed a cycle of GET requests where a URL has been hardcoded URL several times (so ':' becomes '% 3A', which becomes 'a 253% ', then '% 25253A', etc.). For GET requests get longer before reaching a limit, I guess... the end result being an error '400' ('bad request'). Because their servers are initially redirects, I can only assume they have a bug causing this repetitive URL encoding. But, mysteriously, the PC provided by the hotel does not have the problem (and neither does my PC when using wifi). As far as I know, Firefox and IE both fail in case of failure, and both are successful in the case of success, then I do not suspect the browser.
My goal is to fix my system (if that is where the fault lies) or show the hotel staff which is the fault in their network (by demonstrating that the fault can occur even without my PC being involved). Effort on the PC provided by the hotel of troubleshooting is limited by the fact that, once authentication succeeds, I can't induce it expires, so I can't experiment a lot with the mechanism of redirection using this PC. Any ideas?
Try this: go to your Control Panel then network and sharing Center then click on change settings card on the left side. Right click on your Ethernet-> properties, and then select internet protocol version 4-> properties and click on obtain an ip address automatically and obtain dns server automatically.

Need help, troubleshoot blue screen Windows 7 Ultimate.

Thanks in advance for any help.
These accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver).
Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.* Don't forget to download any other DMP files (especially those running auditor)
1 - Memtest.* Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. http://www.memtest.org
* Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.
* Don't forget, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
* Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.
Any error is indicative of a memory problem.
If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.
2. Driver VerifierUsing Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.
* But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
* At other times it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.
* I would suggest that you first back up your data and make sure that you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
* Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).
* Under Windows 7, you can do a startup repair disk by clicking Start... All programs... Maintenance... Create a system - with Windows Vista repair disc, you need to use your drive installation or from the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu.
So, here is the procedure:
-Go to start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
-Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next '.
-Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "Next".
-Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" and click "next".
-Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
* Select all drivers that are NOT supplied by Microsoft and click on "Next".
-On the next page, select "Finish".* Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.
* Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
* If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
* If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.* Further reading

Windows XP SP3, Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2, TWAIN driver
I'm trying to find an answer to help someone else troubleshoot.
Thus, the user could be used successfully before, scan-to-function PDF Acrobat but now receives a DEP notice that says "To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program" and lists of Acrobat. Features of Acrobat with a DEP notice normally except when trying to analyze.
There has been no change other than an update to Acrobat (from 9.1.3 to 9.2 http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/500/cpsid_50026.html) and standard Windows updates known system. Checked all user XP updates been made, did a repair on the installation of Acrobat and checked that he was using the scanner the most recent driver.
The user disable DEP and everything works well. This fixes the problem, but open the computer to a potential attack.
Any suggestions on what to try? This could be a problem with the TWAIN driver? is their any way to check?
Help appreciated - thank you!Hello Annanmty,

Atheros AR9002wb-1ng constantly need reset troubleshooting
I have a laptop ASUS N53SV card Atheros AR9002wb-1ng. Last week, the connection continues being dropped randomly and reset of the card is the only thing that will fix it.
I already tried things:- Change the channel on the router (it goes from 1 to 11, no difference)
- Disabling the adapter power management settings
- The reactivation of the adapter power management settings
- Install a new driver (from what I could find, I could have done this wrong)
And finally:- Uninstall the card completely and restarted my computer, which he has reinstalled everything from scratch.
It was the last thing I did to try to solve the problem. It worked for about an hour, but now I have a new problem: troubleshooting tool resets over the adapter, then now, I do it manually each time by the Manager of devices of deactivation and activation (which I do every 10 minutes approximately).Do you think this could be a hardware problem? I don't know what to do to solve this problem.Hello
Have you checked for updated firmware for the router?

---------I've updated the BIOS, video drivers, sound card drivers. I had the exclamation on 2 "devices, Bluetooth unknown" that I went and actually stop points in the BIOS to get rid of them. I would have obviously preferred a solution.

Resolve stop (blue screen) error in Windows 7
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7Important: System Restore will return all system files not as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.
Important: while performing the check disk on the hard disk, if bad sectors can be found, then check disk will try to repair this sector. All the data available in this area may be lost.
Custom installation WARNING: If you format the hard disk during the installation, the data files are saved in a Windows.old folder on the partition you installed Windows 7. However, you should always back up the files. If you have encrypted data files, you may not be able to access them after installing Windows 7. If you have backed up your data files and then restored after Windows 7 is installed, you can delete the Windows.old folder.

Hello
It is a problem with the code you are using, to remove the lines marked in red and check if it works then. Or move the code of swfobjects, (6 off) above any other javascript code you have at the bottom of your page.

Need help troubleshooting transformation slow speed on my new iMac
New iMac, purchased in August 2015, worked well until this week. Now, everything happens very slowly. Color wheel, slow, typing speed, applications crashing, etc.
It's an iMac with 1.4 GHZ Intel Core i5 and 8 GB of memory. From this moment, I have 433.16 free BG to 498.93.
I just upgraded to 10.11.1, but the speed slowed down before the upgrade.
I have a suspicion of naivety that recent web video game adventures of my son may have something to do with the slow down. He's young, and he may have clicked on somehing involuntarily. Is there a way to eliminate unintentional downloads? Other suggestions?
Thank you!
It is likely that you are right, but you can download Entrecheck http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck to make sure.
Post your results in this thread.

need help, troubleshooting with Photo Gallery
good so I stumbled on another weird little problem w the XT. not deadly
somewhere along the line, I lost the ability to open the photo gallery. I will open for half a second and then closes automatically. He does everything by selecting it from an application, and it does if I try to open in the drawer.
So that's where to look for the community. does anyone else have this problem? If so what is the apps that you have installed?
I have about 60 applications on the phone, but those who directly perform the camera are:
Ustream
PicSay
FxCamera
barcode reader
now the applications that can use the Photo Galleryive installed ones)
Bettercut
Facebook
handcent
There are probably others just have not used yet.
So just let me know if 1) you have one of these installed apps 2) you have the same problem as me.
Thank you

I keep getting pop up windows that say that the internet has stopped downloading files. I bought a hp officejet and I can't get my pc to recognize it... help
I had the same error happen on my Toshiba Satellite, although in a completely different context. Now, I saw several times for a variety of different things. I have no idea of what he calls again, I tried to close him on my computer until the registry editor. If anyone has had any experience with it it would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to re - install my printer on a windows 7. I've updated the system to get all the drivers, but the only feature that I had was scanning. I uninstalled and then used the hp driver software, which is huge and trying to plug a game, too. He met a "fatal" error, and I'm at a roadblock, because I can't just install the driver manually. Help?
You try to download this and it is failing?
