    Whenever I plug my iPhone into a USB port on my Toshiba laptop, I get a message «overload the hub» I tried to reset the ports using the Device Manager, but it does not work. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    This means that the phone ends so much power that the ports are closed to avoid damage to your laptop.  Get a USB hub powered (the one that plugs into your computer and comes with an adapter to plug into the wall) to provide more power, or less plug items on your USB ports at the same time.

  • Issue wireless and slow graphic on Toshiba laptop

    It must connect to the Internet even I 30Mbit/s so fast connection and sometimes it is not even connect to the Internet from the worst wireless card that I've ever seen of the age.
    And can someone tell me what I have on the wireless settings when I test my speed it will not display the parameters: 356Mbits/s, he jumps, here is a picture where I mean what settings I have to correct this: [http://www.pikipimp.com/pp/pimped_photo/s/image/41/108/213/Sk_rmklipp4.JPG?ts=1233587970173]

    Why the graphics settings are so old so bad it sounds as if it was a joke, so slow when I play games The Graphic 3D - OMG - why?

    These 2 are not only the problem, but they are more important problem for me that's why I posted them, because there are more question, but it's only under Vista or XP as well?

    In your case I would update the graphics driver and WLAN.
    The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

    The image that you posted the question wireless is not available.
    However, I put t know how to access the internet, but it could also be a router issue. Try to update the firmware and check all of the WLAN settings on it and on your laptop.

    On the issue with online videos, I can say that you should try a different browser or plug-in (often you need Adobe Flash Player) is not working properly.
    Check and update software which are required for this.

  • Computer Toshiba laptop XP runs very slow, how can I speed up?

    I have an old Toshiba laptop with Windows XP, Version 2002, Service Pack 3. There R Pentium 4CPU, 2.40 ghz with 256 MB of Ram.

    It is so slow that it's like watching paint dry. I deleted all the programs that I dared (those I asked about) and I defrag regularly. There seems to be a lot of many programs (including Toshiba ones) are not in use, but being a non-techie I daren't delete them.

    I need help to allow him to work faster - if it is possible.

    Any help would be wonderful.

    Thanks - Chris

    * original title - old and slow *.

    Adding more ram is not a task difficult because memory ram chips simply plug in a socket on the motherboard.

    However, it can be difficult, because it requires opening the computer.   Then there that understand particular motherboard configuratoin needs when it comes to memory.

    Some motherboards have specific requirements for memory.

    so the first step is to look at the manual of the computer on the configuration of the memory section and see if you can add more ram, or if you need to get out of this little chip of 256 out and just use a larger chip, such as 1 gig of ram.   (for ordinary computer users and xp, it is not necessary to have more than 1 GB of ram installed)

    with regard to the safe mode.   you are unable to connect to the internet because it is not allowed.  However, in safe mode with networking you can, since the internet is a global network.

    the reason why security mode perform better than in normal mode, is due to the fact that non-microsoft programs, IE third party programs are prevented from loading into memory and running.

    as a result of not having other programs the windwos (by itself) is able to work ok in / with the chip memory.

    In contrast, mode normal, windows + third-party programs are loaded in your partial memory chip, and it's moving the system.

    If at this point, you could try to eliminate some of the programs that are automatically started and running in memory for windows in normal mode get an improvement in performance.

    the method is called "clean boot" and here are the steps:

    http://pcsmarties.WordPress.com/CleanBoot/

    but the above method plus adding more memory to your computer, is the way to go.

    either said by the way, if you want to perform a clean boot, make sure not to disable the start up programs for what is toshiba, like the mouse or the keyboard.

    on some laptops the mouse drivers are loaded at startup and that you have to plug a regular usb mouse for some functions of the mouse until you can re - initialize the mouse driver.

    In addition, you mentioned that malwarebytes found some infections.   Although this is a good thing, it is hoped that the infection is not one of your folders of window system corrupt.

  • Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop

    original title: Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop - HELP!

    Hello, I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista.  Yesterday it froze completely upward and I had to manually close (hold the power button until stop you him) twice.  The second time when I tried to restart the came Toshiba screen, then the screen with the little scroll down bar, and then it went black, waited for a while, then flashes a bluescreen with a written up VERY quickly and cycles back to the Toshiba screen.  This time after the scroll bar it gives me white saying the writing system could not restart, and I want to start normally or startup repair. If I restart it through loading files, trying to fix it and said then he wasn't able to fix it and when I look at the details there something on a registry error.

    I really need to solve this problem quickly and desperately want to save all my files if possible because it's our main Mobile family that has all our digital photos on it and they are not saved. (I know, terrible of us).  Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Charity

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
  • Computer Toshiba laptop turns off after 3 seconds
    I can't understand what is happening with my computer, but I hope that this information will help you. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    There are 3 computers involved. One is a Toshiba laptop Satellite L300D Vista I had in December 2008 and the other two are Toshiba Satellite M110 XP portable computers that we got in December 2006 I think.
    The problem started with the Vista. It stops just one day and when I tried to turn it back on, it would show the Toshiba screen for a few seconds and then die. He was the life of the battery. Tried everything, could not, so I have restored the default computer. After it's on, I loaded my music in my external hard drive and a few days later, he crashed again. I restored it again and load my music back in, and then a few days later, he crashed again. Now when I try to restore it, it does not accept the restore disc. The hard drive flashes orange several times and the disc not spin fast enough to start doing anything.
    I decided to forget the vista computer, I had a year and a half... And started using my xp computer is a few years old. I've ONLY used to browse Craigslist (after I started using it instead of my Vista computer for a few days, after that the Vista) and not load any music in there. This computer has worked since then, but about a week after the death of my vista, my xp now has the same problem. It turns on for a while and then turns off immediately. Since they are the two Toshibas, they can use the same chargers so I would use the charger that comes with the vista or another, that I got off eBay a few years ago. Been using two wires forever and then everything suddenly this question not sure that it of a problem with the power or not, but one thing I noticed was my vista computer would make a rattling noise from inside the computer only when has been plugged in the charger from eBay, and I noticed my xp making the same sound as that connected with the charger from eBay just before you die too.
    My brother also has a toshiba satellite m110 xp laptop, and we tried a few things with the vista computer to try to make it work. A site offered to take the RAM and try to turn it on. Nothing that's happened. We took the ram from my brothers computer which works very well and put it in the vista. Nothing happened. We took the hard drive from her computer and put it in the vista and the computer DID start up (which was great cause I've not seen on in about a month) but it started up to a blue screen. Put us the hard drive in my brothers xp and the computer was working fine... For a few hours. Now the computer will not start correctly and we are trying to restore his computer but couldn't find the restore disc. Her hard drive was in my computer literally 15 seconds and his computer is now toast.
    I don't care about my laptop toshiba satellite m110 xp, but I want a solution for my toshiba laptop satellite L300D vista, and I also want to get my brothers running again because I ruined. I don't know much about computers, but my guess is that there is nothing wrong with the ram or hard drives, but something else in my vista computer that is ruining the hard drives. That still doesn't explain why my XP computer is turn off after a few seconds suddenly well. The only thing that the Vista and my XP have in common, is that they used the same power cords (which always worked fine)
    If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction, which
    would be AMAZING! Thank you very much for your time
    If you have problems with the Toshiba recovery media, you will need to contact Toshiba.
    It's the Toshiba recovery process.
    Each manufacturer has their own particular recovery process.
    And as it is now failing to do recovery required, they would be the best people to contact about this.
  • My toshiba laptop will not connect to my HP Envy 4500 printer
    Recently, I tried to connect my Toshiba laptop running Windows 8, wireless on my HP Envy 4500 printer. I am trying to scan something on my laptop, I did with the printer before. I have the remote app, and I have connected to the network the printer wireless displays in the wifi of my computer. However, when you try to get the printer to scan, using the option on the printer screen, it says that no device is connected, and to ensure that the software has been installed and this scan to pc has been activated. I opened the application on my laptop, in hopes of getting better results using what it was, but he told me that the printer is offline, if it was obviously on. I'm not entirely sure why the printer doesn't recognize my laptop, even if my laptop recognizes. I spent nearly two hours, disconnection and reconnection, as well as the printer off about three times. I'm about to uninstall the application and try to reinstall, but I'm questioning that results will be better.
    I don't see any other way to solve this problem, because there is no USB port to connect a USB cable don't, like myprevious printer and wonder if it is my laptop, not the printer, which is faulty. It works for printing, when it comes to other devices in my house, but I had problems same impression with my Toshiba before. I tried only with another scanning device: a desktop HP Pavilion Media Center TV PC computer. I'm starting to think that the scanner is broken to only other reognizing products HP and ask any advice to fix this problem.
    Hi AMakkei,
  • Toshiba laptop keyboard not working not properly
    Today my daughter was doing the work of the school on my old Toshiba laptop purchased in February 2012. It crashed at 12 Dec, Toshiba gave me the whole term on fixig so I had to have local difficulty. Even after it was fixed, it never was the same a awesome laptop turned into something of a child's play. Anyway, I gave this laptop to my daughter and bought another laptop. Once again, the Toshiba worked but was not until I had to do, was not quickly leave and the hard drive was not the same (once it has been repaired), but it was bearable for a child. Today, my daughter was of school work (or try) when she noticed problems with the keyboard. The buttons were working, but which has been pressed, wasn't showing on the screen. Example: If you press the W button, this indicates: 3/3/3/3/3 appears in the display. If you press the button, it appears:... (3) individual letters, numbers and random characters appear on the screen when you try to type. If you press BACKSPACE, it refreshes the page. I found an old office keyboard and ito the Toshiba is plugged and I am able to type without any problem, so I thought that it was a matter of device. I went to devices and printers, ran a bad shoot and got the following report:
    Windows Update is configured to never install drivers... There is no question
    I tried to install a driver using Windows Update, but it was uncessful / could not detect a driver installed. Windows has suggested I go the manufacturer of my laptop to download a driver from this site. I'm on the Toshiba site now and after entering my serial number on this subject, they gave me a list of updates. I do not know which install beause they have two updates listed under keyboard, 10 listed under devices. I don't know which one I need to choose.
    When I first bouht the Toshiba it was Windows 7 (which came standard with all computers). The person who fixed installed Windows 7 Ultimate, if it helps. Can someone please advise on what is wrong with the laptop keyboard. The laptop was not great after it crashed / 'repaired', but he was able to do the basic functions
    Hello
    Sorry, but I don't see it as a software problem, despite the report of devices and printers.  I would say that time has caught up with your computer "crashed" (where the report of devices and printers).
    Are you able to type normally with an external keyboard, the "computer" went very well. The problem is with the keyboard and/or the original "repair" (which does not look like it completely solved the original problem).
    My suggestion would be to take it to a repair shop trust you, or your daughter use the external keyboard, or possibly to invest a few hundred dollars in a used cell phone, or...
    Keep me posted and let me know how you fare.
    Kind regards
    So I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8, and the noise on this subject with headphones is way way too low, that he was stronger on my old laptop, the speaker volume is strong so I don't understand why headphones are so quiet that I uninstalled the drivers that came with him and got the generic Microsoft High Definition Audio ones , but that did not help either, I made sure all sound bars are completely upward in the settings of the headset and I ensured that no effects were on and that the quality was 24 - bit, it of just the laptop or is there a problem with the driver? is it possible to simply drive the sound from the speakers in the headphone, or is it necessary that when I plug in my headphones must change the one that says earphones. Help? Basically, it seems that the midrange and treble are too low, while the bass is stronger, it sucks.
  • Can I use the Windows Vista I had with my Toshiba laptop on virtual machine?
    Hey all
    I have changed Microsoft for Macintosh, but installed on a virtual machine (oracle vm virtual machine) my Windows Vista I got with my Toshiba Satellite A350D Notebook previous. I installed Vista with the recovery disk. Now he asks me the Windows Vista product key. The sticker on the back of my laptop is more readable. I run the Belarc Advisor to get the product key in this way. But right now, he said: "it's the product key installed at the factory by the manufacturer rather than yours. You can change this to your product key here for Windows http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=45668"
    My question: am I not allowed to use windows vista legally, I had with my computer toshiba laptop on other devices? I won't use the Thoshiba laptop. Do I have to delete the record from the Thoshiba laptop? Where can I get a new product key?
    Maybe someone can help me here. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this.
    Betty
    Recovery disk or recovery image is designed for some cell phone only and is not a kind of universal image that can be used on other devices. It comes with the laptop.
    You can use the Microsoft Windows disk with valid license on each device. Recovery image is not only BONES. This is the package that contains the drivers and tools specific to Toshiba and utilities.
    As you also know recovery image when you install it on your laptop must be turned on not so the license code downstairs just proves you have purchased a valid license with your laptop.
    > Should I remove the record of the Toshiba laptop?
    Not why do this?
    > Where can I get a new product key?
    You cannot get it because you need when you use the recovery image on your Satellite A300D. I think even you will hear of Toshiba.
  • How to install Windows XP Professional on Toshiba laptop?
    Hi all
    I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is a Computer Phobic and has the same brand and model of Toshiba laptop than me. He would like to go back instead of Windows Vista business to Windows XP Professional.
    Its hard drive is the hard disk from Western Digital WD 1200BEVS. He told me that when he went to install Windows XP, it came with no HARD drive. I don't know if I can quote the chipset here, but here it is anyway. The chipset is an Intel(r) ICH8M ultra ata storage controllers-2850. All the advice in a simple format would be gratefull. He downloaded the bios unsuccessfully and nlite to work on a computer with some help of a computer technician on a thumb (flash) drive)
    I'm someone who can help thanking on behalf of my friend who is a Computer Phobic and does not have an interweb connection.
    Usually, if you write about these issues you inform us also what model of laptop you have, or that model As your friend.
    Please don t get me wrong, but on this forum, you can find hundreds of threads with the same theme and very good answers and solutions. You might be looking for this forum if you can find some similar thread?
  • Cloning of Toshiba laptops with sysprep
    Hello
    We have a lot of different brands and models of laptops and have a sysprep image that we use for all of them and so far had no other problem that have to update the drivers after the laptop has been photographed.
    That is until we started to buy Toshiba laptops!
    After that we photographed the laptop it blue screens with either
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    Stop: 0 x 00000050 (0xF0000223, 0 x 0, 00000002 00000000, 0x806BAF76)
    or a
    STOP 0x0000007B
    Even after the repair of the image it blue screens.
    So far, we had to build a new image for each laptop model Toshiba and then image.
    Any ideas on how I can get my sysprep image to work?
    Hi crystalreef,
    Hmm different laptops have different hardware, so I don't think you can use a single image for all mobile phones. Each computer or laptop model requires the image clean s with own drivers and isn't compatible with other models.
    You can install Windows Toshiba Recovery disk?
  • Can I play my xbox one through my Toshiba laptop?
    I can play my xbox one through my Toshiba laptop, I have windows 8. I tried to connect my xbox to my laptop via a HDMI cable and no picture came on my laptop to my xbox one screen. you wonder how to do this job.
    would appreciate help on how to do this thanks.
    Hello
    As far as I know that something like this is not possible. HDMI port is for output only. You cannot send the audio and video signal to your laptop using the HDMI port and use the internal display for external devices.
  • External charger for Toshiba laptops
    Basically, I have a toshiba laptop and the connection between the charger and the laptop real is in ruins, I had this problem before and found better to just get a whole new laptop, is there not an external charger that I could buy that would work or at least a way to get my pictures off of it?
    Thank you.
    This charger doesn t exist.
    Jurgo is quite right. For a few Euros you can buy external enclosure for SATA HDDs. put your HARD drive in this case and connect it to the USB cable and another PC / laptop as external drive.
    On this way, you will have full access to all your stored data.
