I just bought a version of lightroom upgrade 6 (mac, upgrade from lightroom 4) and began the process of installation, but when I entered the serial number of the previous version, I got the message "the serial number you entered is not valid. If the code you enter is not a set of 24 numbers (only numbers), 6 sets of 4 numbers, then it is not the serial number.

I have a license for CS6 which was bought by my company before I started here. We are trying to install on a new computer (Windows 7), and when you try to activate it, we get the error "this serial number has already been registered. Products can only be registered once. I sent the proof of purchase (and we still have access to the email address that purchased) several times now as well, and has no we got nowhere either.
