  If the code you enter is not a set of 24 numbers (only numbers), 6 sets of 4 numbers, then it is not the serial number.

  I have a license for CS6 which was bought by my company before I started here.  We are trying to install on a new computer (Windows 7), and when you try to activate it, we get the error "this serial number has already been registered.   We really need this software running, and we are a charity and cannot just buy new licenses when it should be perfectly usable.  And given the support experience I've had so far, I'm not really inclined to reward with more money.  Does anyone have any ideas on how I can maybe shortcut through this process?  I sent the proof of purchase (and we still have access to the email address that purchased) several times now as well, and has no we got nowhere either.
