  Hello and welcome to the forum,

  You can skip one of the two steps, as I explained in this blog post, but only if you both Correct/Incorrect responses. If you want a different behavior, you will need to create custom question slides. In 6 Captivate, you can insert a button shape on a slide in question, which could then simulate this behavior, but in CP5.5 no interactive objects can be added. You will find a large number of use cases for the slides in question on my blog too.

  There are a few changes in the quizzes. You are on the latest version: 9.0.1.320?

  You can try to recreate something from scratch with the same settings, check if it is due to the upgrade?

  How many attempts do you allow level question? What is the action "after the last attempt?

• Quiz Skip button switch to another slide that isn't the next slide.

  Is it possible to make the button Skip Quiz jump to another slide outside the next slide? I use 7 Captivate.

  The default test buttons are not configurable. You can leave the default button of the workspace, insert an identical Skip button using n smartshape which places and set the action.

  I think that indeed to be the reason. You will be in Quiz carried almost all the slides, and the capability to return to a question with the following button slide is certainly linked to the scope of Quiz. It was my first "intuition".

  Most of the new features of quiz is designed with a case of use quite limited in mind. This is the case for all the, pre-test and remediation issues.  And it is often the team Adobe assumes that all questions on the test are set at the beginning of the file, all normal questions are set at the end of the file. And I'm perfectly aware that this is rarely the case for real projects. For this reason, personally, I would avoid these features in most of the projects. One that works very well as far as I KNOW is branch up-to-date, to create system variables Dynamics quiz. And in some cases, I really appreciate the rating partial and even sentence (too bad it is only limited to the MCQ type). I will often use workarounds for other features. More work, but more control.

• Captivate 7 - Quiz questions take a long time to advance to the next

  So I have completed my course. All along (each slides or so) I quiz questions that are classified but undeclared. They are simply there to prepare the student for the final exam. They have the opportunity to submit the response followed legends correct and incorrect. At the end of the course, the trainee meeting these same issues (55 in total), but now they are back to back and they are both classified and reported. Here, they have only the option to submit.

  When they take undeclared quiz questions, click on submit and it quickly goes to the next slide, because it is set up to do. BUT on issues that are noticed and reported, when they click on submit, it really takes a lot of time to move to the next slide (and a lot of time, I mean 10 more seconds). At the end of the review, when they answered the final question, and click to go on, the two final slides take more time (sometimes up to a minute) to move forward.

  I understand it is going to be some delay while the system reports the score for each slide, but this seems abnormally long. This shift occurs in preview mode, scormcloud and during a test on a LMS (Gyrus) client.

  Any idea on why this is and how to prevent it. It's really hard to ask my customers to be patient and stay there for 10 seconds every single issue. I need them to take the final exam at their own pace - fast or slow.

  I know, it is barely visible, because the line between the inactive and the Active part is black on a blue background (already invited for 6 or 5.5 to change that color...) No rule of the world, by dragging the break more towards the end has almost the same effect, but you can leave a little bit more time (less than the 1.5secs).

  As I know there is no way to change the sleep time by default for Question slides, as the timing is never available on Quiz Master slides.

  I'm trying to create a custom message of success and failure on the quiz results slide, using certain colors in the text caption to reflect the brand of our company. I've added a tip action entering the slide, so that if the percentage of quiz is 80% or more, shows message of success and failure message leathers. It seems like it should work, but for some reason, only the fault message views, no matter if I fail or pass. Anyone tried this with any success?

  This button is very important: clicking on it will launch the actions that you define in Quiz preferences, success/failure. Think that it is also mentioned in my blog, when I talk about the score slide. Maybe that you were lucky, but I especially advice to add a line short slide after this slide score, certainly everything is transferred correctly, especially when launched by LMS and many users will do the test at the same time (I have used in a college for some exams). In this case you can set the actions of pass/fail on the issue level «Go to next page»

• Try to reinstall the old purchases using instructions: 'Edit' - 'preferences' - 'Store' tab - but there is NO iTunes purchases in the cloud 'Show' to check. What to do now?

  I'm running on Windows 7 Professional. I have the latest version of iTunes installed. I have tons of music bought and burnt in my library. I am trying to reinstall those so I can sync it with my Android tablet.

  Following instructions: 'Edit' - 'Preferences' - 'Store' tab, but when I arrived here I have not control option "Show iTunes in the cloud purchases" so I just shot to the top of all the "Protected AAC audio file" and continued with instructions to select and delete these files. There is no cloud download little next to one of my songs (Protected or purchased). He asked me if I wanted to hide these files. I said yes. Then I went to my account to "see" them. They came in my library, now in the form of AAC audio files purchased, with a cloud beside them.

  I can't sync them if they are up in the cloud.   I'm trying to disable automatic updates. When I choose Edit-> Preferences menu and select the Advanced button and then the updates tab, I don't get the full dialog box that appears in the help on this Web site.

  I can check or uncheck the box to search engines, but there is no way to disable updates for Firefox itself.

  The part updates, you expect rests only in the official Mozilla versions and not in the versions built by user or third party, that cannot expect Mozilla to provide updates versions they did not build themselves.

• Firefox 2.0.0.6 does not show the update tab in Edit/Preferences/Advanced

  Updates for versions of Firefox that come with Linux are usually updated through the program for this Linux distro repository. Controls for update in these versions of Firefox are disabled (grayed menu) or these items are removed from the interface of Firefox.

  Two other things to try:

  A preferences. Reset LR, as described in this article: reset the lightroom - updated - Lightroom Forums preferences file. LR is not uncommon soil its file preferences, and when that happens, it will behave unpredictably.  (The preferences are not reset when you reinstall LR.)

  B. manually edit the preferences file to disable the use of LR of the graphics processor, as described in this article help: using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Graphics processor (GPU) acceleration, troubleshooting & FAQ Lightroom.  A little more detail about the steps in this article:

  1. Release of Lightroom.
  2. Click on the Start button in the lower left corner and copy them and paste "%appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs" (without the quotes) in the search box, and then type Enter. This will open the preferences file in Notepad.
  3. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
  4. File > Save followed by file > exit.
  5. Restart Lightroom CC/6

• Adding comments to quiz

  I'm trying to built a Quiz which consist of standard Captivate Multiple choice quiz.

  What I want to do is:

  • -Allow the user to choose an answer
  • -Allow the user to proceed to the next question
  • -After all the questions have been anserwed, allow the user to use a submit all"" button.
  • -View users mark
  • -Ask the user to review its asnwers via a button
  • -Give a personalized feedback when the user looks at the quiz

  I managed to do all the points except the last. In my experience, Captivate is quite random with allowing me to add a feedback form. For example, in the attached screen, I can't add a legend. In other classes I built, I can add a correct and incorrect text, but these disappear soon a user leaves the current slide

  Does anyone have an answer or a suggestion on how to accomplisch adding comments customized by question when a user looks at a quiz?

  Dag Micky, ik antwoord niet direct op of emails, sorry. IK try yesterday een antwoord you formuleren.

  Because you don't tell what version you use, first check if you have the quiz cpInReviewMode system variable. This variable has been added a few versions ago, but I don't know if it's 7 or 8.

  1. Create feedback you want to give for each slide of the question: containers of text, images, forms, everything what you want. If you have several objects, group them and identify them clearly. I tagged the groups here like Gr_Quest1, Gr_Quest2... If you have a single object, no need for grouping of course.
  2. Make these objects or invisible groups output. CP8 on which can be done by clicking on the eye button top left of its properties panel.
  3. Create a conditional action shared, like this:
     • IF cpInReviewMode is equal to 1
       • See Gr_Quest1
       • Continue
     • ON THE OTHER
       • Continue
  4. For the joint action, only the name of the Group (or object) Gr_Quest1 must be a parameter. No need to include the system variable, or the literal as a parameter (which is possible here and CP8 CP9 but not necessary).
  5. Apply this action shared at the event on enter for each slide of the issue and define the right parameter (since the feedback group will be different on each slide of the question).
