Like many others my infographic died with a BSOD after the windows update Feb10th. Returning the suggested KB977165 had no effect, but fortunately after returning all the updates, my computer is back to life.
I have now a computer with windows update disabled with an update waiting that I suspect is causing the BSOD again if I turn on updates.
The various forums etc I found will tell you how to recover your computer on but none that I have found tell me if I can go back to windows update or how carefully remove any update caused the BSOD.
I haven't tried the "no support for Windows Update problems" for an answer and gave with an automated response telling me to try here.
Can someone please point me to a 'next steps' to recover completely from this?

I've heard reports of infected, media files cj. The two movies and songs that have been downloaded through Limewire. If I hear anything else about it, I will be sure to post it here. All the protection we use still depends on who is using the keyboard or mouse click.

Suggest that you scan the system with Malwarebytes anti-malware , too. Download the free version, install and allow update when installed.
Then click on the button scan and use the default quick scan setting. Once the scan is complete click on the button to display the results.
If sure all detected object is checked and then click on the button select Remove.
If nothing is detected, I would start the system into safe mode and do a Full scan, too. It will take time to finish but worth it.

One way that you would be able to be almost certain to 100% that you have detected and deleted all the bad creatures is to shoot on the hard drive, install it as a slave on another system and then scan the HD active.
Or you can create a BartsPE or Linux boot cd and the scanner without having to shoot HD.

Anyway is not elegant, to say the least, and not give the same level of confidence you would have with (ugh) formatting and reinstalling.

• Vista - MSE updates OK if via Windows updates > BSOD?

Hi yesterday my Vista very reliable (32 bit Home Premium SP2 on a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300d 4 GB of RAM) Blue installation proposed - this never happened before in 2 years of use!

I use MSE for about a week or two, & find it fine - in fact my first full scan has detected a Trojan horse that the previous program never seen or reported.
The BSOD pending symptoms that start (just before logon is displayed), the ORB does not appear either or if this is the case there is no sound. Then the connection at the time where MSE starts to load a lock-up followed the BSOD (which is just a big bar at the bottom of the screen).
I can retrieve using the last point of restoration (which was the installation of a definition of ESM by Windows Update). This morning, I applied a definition through MSE & everything was OK. This definition appeared in WU previously but I had not updated via WU. I applied it through MSE & everything was OK.
Anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening?
TIA

If you have a system restore, then you can reverse this pilot plant successfully, which will allow you once more in Win 10 w / no another BSOD. If you do NOT restore the system save point, your options become more extreme: 1. restore/Reset before installing the affected driver listed above; 2 restore/reset; 3 NOTE: Starting Windows hotfix fails to solve the problem

TCOLE334:
Thanks for the solid recommendation; your post on the removal of the Dell printer provided Killer drivers (wireless network and ethernet), and then update directly from the site of the murderer himself worked like a charm.

So, for anyone who has an Alienware 17 R3, or face a similar problem with BSOD by Killer drivers, I can confirm the work of solution of this TCOLE334 and fixed my issues surrounding network causing BSOD drivers.

Now if only we can get our BSOD problems resolved with the Dell SupportAssist program. Starting from 04/03/2016, I'm waiting on an update of PC Doctor directly (I have been in contact with them for the last month now and work with them to try to resolve this breaker program.) I emailed plant minidumps, memory.dmp, newspapers, etc. We'll see. Patience is a virtue!)

• BSOD issues after update 8.1

My computer has no problems with Windows 8.0. After the Windows 8.1 update, the system will BSOD crash leave once all the hours to once every few minutes. I didn't notice all patterns on the block;. It is not obviously related to the execution of any piece of software. Often, the error message is different from the previous. Some I've seen include:

• Structure criticizes Corruption
• Kernel security check failed
• Memory management
• IPF in nonpaged area
• Unhandled Thread Exception system
• Attempt to write to Readonly memory

The research I've done has led to assume that it is a driver issue, but I am not sure. Today, the computer has to reset several times without warning and without displaying any error messages at all. How can I get to the bottom of what's going on and solve the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for the information.

Your RAM is faulty and must be replaced.

• Windows 8 BSOD due to CORE 41

I had 3 blue screens in the last 24 hours. There is no way that this is something that I downloaded because I did not download anything less than last month. The issue began last night (29/01/2014 right before midnight). I have no idea why he got the BSOD because I just played on my Playstation with the laptop, just sitting there. All of a sudden, the error message came up saying that the PC has encountered a problem and needs to restart. I looked in the case log and error that happened that were all the same, core 41, apparently, it has to do with the power of the laptop? Also, I never had this older problem on my laptop which is running windows 7 pro, just on windows 8. I looked online for a fix or why it can happen, but nothing seemed to be my problem, or a fix. Here's the breakdown of what has happened last night until about 20 minutes before this post:

-turned on pc about 10:30
-I went to play playstation
-on 1.5hrs later, BSOD
-rebooted pc
-I went to bed and decided to download digital copies of all the movies of Fast and Furious from Amazon
-to 06:20, BSOD aroun
-tour of pc at 07:45
-Turn on pc around 18:00
-at 19:36, BSOD
Like I said all the BSODS were due to the 41 core error and I have never had this problem since last year when I bought the laptop or my mobile older which has windows 7 pro.
The pc that I use now, the same one that had errors, it's an ACER Aspire, V3 - 771 G with windows 8, intel core i7, 8 GB of Ram
Yet, I don't know why this problem continues to be, especially of 3 times in 24 hours WTF!
There is a known issue with the Logmein driver dated 24/01/2014 causing BSOD with error code 0 x 44 and the titile of "MULTIPLE-IRP-END-APPLICATIONS.

We are advised to remove or to contact the developer of a patch, update, work around, etc.
Failing that I would return to an older version until a pilot no bug is released.

• Windows 8 BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe

Hello.

I get a lot of the dreaded BSOD lately.
From the beginning I thought that it's nvidia drivers. Update of those fixed everything except a BSOD I get.
Now I get the same BSOD, and it is caused by ntoskrnl.exe and playback memory problems.
I've been all around you are looking for assistance and use of memtest86 without result.
The Msinfo32 and .dmp files are located here: DMP.zip
Anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
I couldn't find the RAM that I use in the compatibility table for the motherboard. So that's what I think may cause the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Arve

Hi Arve,

All attached files of the DMP are the bug check IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) .

This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a driver in mode accessed kernel memory paged at DISPATCH_LEVEL level or above.

This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high. The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.

In addition, to provide peace of mind regarding your request of RAM. If you receive a card mother and they have a list of the RAM compatible in the manual, etc., this is called a QVL (qualified suppliers list). It is simply a list of RAM which has been tested internally and is PROVING to be quite compatible 100%. If the RAM is not on the list, it is not by all means, implies that the RAM will be inconsistent and cause problems. Actually today is very rare. Your RAM doesn't seem to be the issue at all in these accidents.

I have problems with the controls of 3 (minimize, maximize, close) window on the top right, since the upgrade to windows 10. They are no longer at all. Everyone knows this? is this a known issue?

• Satellite A660-1CJ - 8.1 Windows crashes - BSOD bridge.sys

Hello

I have a Satelite A660-1CJ, running Windows 8.1 and he already broke 5 times with a BSOD:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (bridge.sys)

What can I do?

Hello

It seems that the bridge.sys is causing the BSOD.
Bridge.sys is a Windows system component.

Toshiba says that the Windows 8.1 is not supported on Satellite A660 series.
What does that mean?
This means that Windows 8.1 drivers are not released by Toshiba.

I assume that you have installed drivers in your own hand and probably one of the drivers causing the BSOD.

As well as wireless issue while bluetooth is turned on, I also had problems with the connection to an audio device via bluetooth. I recently received Coulax QX8 bluetooth headphones and they connect on my phone (iPhone 6s), but when I try and connect to it on my laptop, it is not figure it out. I activated the devices to the discovery of the notebook in the settings, but I still don't see it appear. Help, please.

And before all the messages about drivers, YES, I update my bluetooth and Wifi drivers, through both the HP Support help and directly by the driver and the Device Manager.
