ICS mobile broadband Internet and an ad hoc network

I set up my modem ICS O2 broadband and using a wireless network to share the connection. I tried to connect my laptop to the internet through the network, but even if I am able to connect to the ad hoc network without penalty I was able to connect to the internet with him twice.

I searched through the forums and nobody seemed to have this problem. Someone had this problem? According to me, what is the origin of the problem is that whenever I connect to the ad hoc network, it is the most often recorded as a new connection instead of use the same one that could pose difficulties.

Hello

Try this instead of the ICS, http://www.connectify.me/

  • R7000 as router with the router for mobile broadband Internet

Hey guys. First of all, my apologies for my somewhat inadequate English skills. Secondly, I am brand new to the community, so apologies in advance for any fault :-) Third stop, apologize for having a complete beginner :-D

So, for the issue: I recently bought a router top mobile broadband 4G (4 G MBR) to my apartment, because of the gap of strength and speed signal very low quality of the cable to the ground on my Street (fiber is to come next year).

But the router provided by my operator isn't on par with my router R7000 Nighthawk when he comes to reach wifi, wifi speed, number of outputs of LAN and power of the processor.

So, I want to use my R7000 my router, the internet signal from the air to the 4G MBR, then by cable to the WAN of the R7000.
In other words; I want to just 4G MBR to simply pass / transfer the internet signal to my nighthawk R7000 router so I can use the R7000 as my router, LAN and wifi.

How can I set this up?

    Thanks for your help!

Update: the MBR has been no help at all. As far as I could tell, there is no possibility to bridge or pass-through mode. The R7000, as she does the work. I just put it in AP mode, adjust all the wired connections DHCP/auto IP assign and everything works great.

  • Unable to connect to the internet and VPN in the network.

I have an ADSL account and when I vpn in our network using cisco VPN 3015 vpn client can't access the internet more locally. I have to use our internal proxy server on the network. Is it possible to make the vpn tunnel but also use the local internet DSL for browsing connection?

You must set up split tunnelling tunnel, while only some packets are sent through the tunnel, the rest get out in clear packages just as usual.

In 3015, create a list of network under Config - Mgmt policy - traffic Mgmt - list networks, this list includes your internal networks (you want to be dug traffic). Then go under the group to which the client connects to, on the Client configuration tab, select only the network of tunnels in the list, and then select your list from the drop-down list box. Reconnect and're you good to go.

Keep in the spirit of split-mining is considered a bit of a security risk because your PC is now accessible from the Internet AND you have a VPN directly in your internal network. If someone can take possession of your PC, then they have access to everything. You can also watch in allowing both client firewall stuff.

  • connect other computers to the internet through an ad hoc network of a connection__ broadband windows 7

I have a HP netbook with a Windows 7-based broadband connection.  I created a residential group of this netbook so other computers running Windows XP can connect to it and use the connection Strip.  I have inconsistent results.  Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

My question how do I set up a gateway to the internet from the netbook to other computers can access the internet.

Do I need to set up a network of residential group for this place?  Is there some settings of internet connection of the netbook I need to change (for now that I disabled the firewall, so it does not interfere).

    Thank you

I do not use a router.  My netbook has a map broadband and a wi - fi card.  Simply, I connect to internet through my broadband card.  I tried other computers to be able to access the internet through that connection, that's why I've set up homegroup (maybe I would not do?)

Anyway, sometimes it works but is not for most.  I'm trying to keep it simple and not get a router, etc. since it is a situation that's going to happen from time to time.

    Thanks for responding!

    Paula

    As posted earlier...

To use your netbook as access wireless router/AP watch these GUI frontends to netsh commands that will do this for you. I do not think that you have ICS enabled to do so.

ICS, in my experience there is a very long time is flakey at best...

FWIW, there are routers broadband accepting adapters broadband videophone/USB/etc function for example. According to what broadband service, you have maybe one depending on your needs.

Original title: a disc XP Wibdows will repair a missing msnuser file? I can't find all the networks to connect to the internet.

After a router problem, I had to change the name of my network. All my other PC is connected. My Dell XP Pro has for some reason not configured to search for local networks. The only error message I got was 'msnuser file is no longer available.

I have a brand new Windows XP in case of a crash Pro CD, but I don't want to try to find out that I lost what is already stored.

  • Equipped with mobile broadband with Lenovo B560 / SIM card / no reaction if pushed SIM card

    Dear Forum

I have byued "nine" one lenovo B560 - quiet price specifications.

But now I'm trying to connect to internet with my SIM mobile broadband WebClient and do not find a way to do it!

The laptop is equipped with a SIM-Card-Slot-In card and throug this Slot I can see some golden conectors.

But if I turn on wireless with [Fn] + [F5] I can't see the WLAN on/off switch card.

Even the installation of 5 ReadyComm has not resolved my probs.

My mobile is Win7 home premium with the typical standard configuration, no change.

Is there something that I did not?

I appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

    Greetings - sand

    Hello mate,

It's not because you have a card reader sim you have a modem installed inside.

If your laptop is wwan ready, it comes with the sim card reader and installed antenna, and that's all.

If you don't see the wwan modem in the Fn + F5 menu it is probably because you do not have a modem.

Take a look here to see if you have a wwan modem or not: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/configuration/configuration.html

I have an E6410, install the sim card, load and start the Service Manager Broadband Mobile and it say an error "device wide band not found Mobile".

I already download and install drivers for Broadband Mobile Wireless, two of them (5620 and 5540 mini-map) I really do not understand how to determine which of them installed in my laptop. Y at - it an idea?

    Thanks in advance

    PS Sorry for my English

Hello, I have the same problem, I used the Dell Mobile Broadband utility and run the self diagnostic, and the result was down: HardwareTest. I guess that the unit is not installed or not connected to the motherboard. How can I activate this device? There must be a setting in the BIOS, or something is not pluged in correctly for this laptop. also, mine is a Latitude E6410 with Win7.

I saw no response for this post.

Please, the USB Modem is very annoying.

  • What active HP-printers making ad hoc network Airprint support?

I want to buy a printer/scanner for my mother who uses an iPad 2 with 3G connection. It doesn't have Wifi. There are now several printers that support the ad hoc network so that the Ipad could directly connect to the printer and print via Airprint.

First I thought the Photosmart 5510 or 5515, but I've read here in the forum that the 5510 does not support ad hoc network.

Can someone tell me please what printers I use for printing via Airprint and an ad hoc network? Scan directly to the Ipad also works?

Thank you very much and best regards, o.

PS. During this time I found the term "HP Live wireless" who seems to rest an ad hoc network. Unfortunately I have not found any list of printers that direct support HP wireless.

    LearningAdHoc,

I'll talk about the prospective printer laserjet m251 regarding the direct wireless. If you are looking at the printer control panel and turn on live wireless, then your iOS device will detect it. You can even go into your built-in webserver (EWS) and change your direct wireless and the name of Hello, if you want to make it more recognizable or have more than one printer your would like to have on the network. Once you have enabled the wireless directly from your control panel, you go into your settings on your iOS device, wi - fi > choose a network > and select the printer (caution - the 'small wheel' will keep turning, just ignore it).  Go back to your main menu setting and you should see that your printer was select as access point. You can then enter your photos, safari, etc. and print from them to choose the action button and when the menu comes up select print > select your printing (should already be selected).

The cellular and direct wireless connection internet connection can be used at once, but a word of warning... If you have a wi fi network configuration, you will have to jump between the 2 directions of print... make?

  • Computer sharing internet with mobile phones on the ad - hoc network

Original title: ad hoc internet sharing network

I have only 1 computer at home and 2 mobile phones. My wireless router doesn't work so I can't get access to the internet through a wired connection to my laptop. I wanted to share the internet access from my laptop to 2 mobile devices, but I do not know how to do it. I tried to create an ad hoc network by following instructional videos online, but they do not seem to work for me. I have a laptop Samsung Windows 7 Professional. Any thoughts?

    Hello Mann,

The manual configuration of ad hoc steps network has really worked for me. I don't really know how much I missed. For my curiosity, I tried to open the link provided by Ramesh above and found some interesting things. I downloaded a software called the virtual router on the site - http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/. In fact, it has worked for me and made my life so much easier. I just have a good concern, is this completely harmless software for my computer? I have not any refusal of Microsoft Security Essentials of any kind in any case. :)

    Please notify.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Ad Hoc network. even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

I'm living in a college dorm and only have access to the internet via a hard line to my computer. So I wanted to give my other accessibility of consumer electronics set up an Ad-Hoc network and share the internet connection. When I originally set up the network it works fine, but after the devices go to sleep or I leave the room it stops working. I had problems to keep the internet connection to share continually, which I fixed it. I then had a DHCP problem with the hard line that has been resolved through troubleshooting function. Now, even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

Is there a way to create an Ad Hoc network that works similar to a wireless router, so when my computer is turned, it works automatically? If so, how can I make this happen without these problems?

    Hello

I suggest to activate temporarily the antivirus as well as windows firewall and check if it helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall
