IE9 Security update error 80070057 kb2829530
I am running Windows Vista Business 32-bit SP2 OS.
I got IE9 installed for about 2 years, but the last kb2829530 of security update installs not and gives error 80070057.
I can't find any information on the internet on this subject.
I tried many general suggestions on mistakes of update Windows such as disabling services like Windows update and WICKS, cleaning of their files and then turn power on. Nothing seemed to work.
I tried to uninstall IE9 completely but the uninstall fails with "unknown error."
Someone at - it suggestions of andy?
Ok...
Your reference to an "install IE9 update' was quite opaque & open to interpretation for me.
[If you couldn't uninstall IE9 still IE9 has been suddenly offered by Windows Update again, a ' wipe ' reload n ' was the best course of action IMHO.]

KB958623 security update; Error message 0 x 80070002
I have my put Vista Ultimate to download and install updates automatically. This 'important' KB958623 security update will not simply be installed few matter what I do. I get an error 0 x 80070002. From the help page, I was directed to a Microsoft page that applies only to Windows XP or Windows Server 2003; There is no mention of Vista!
I tried patches of so-called anyway, and they don't work.
Because it won't install, apparently no other update will install either. I feel like I am on a kind of merry-go-round!

You try to run Windows auto security updates, error message 0 x 80070424
When I try to update my Windows security he invites me to ensure that the "automatic updates" is enabled. It is and when I keep trying to update, I get an error message 0 x 80070424. Cannot find a solution anywhere.
This error 0 x 80070424 means "SERVICE ERROR does NOT EXIST". In other words, the BITS service does not exist somehow.
It is usually enough to do this: start > run and type
Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
and press the ENTER key. If this does not resolve the issue:
Start > run and type in these lines. Press the ENTER key after each one:
net stop wuauserv
Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\wuapi.dll
Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\wups.dll
Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wucltui.dll
Regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll
Regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
Regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
net start wuauserv
Restart Windows, and then go to Windows Update.

There are various methods explaining what to do and repair tools, updates installation failure, available from Microsoft. However they are throughout the stretch and total pain for everybody but it professionals to apply.
My suggestion:
Uninstall and remove updates all THE Microsoft Security Essentials and packages on your PC.
Reboot and go immediately online "Windows Updates" and click on the control of my computer for updates.
It will take time to download all updates and components for new, but the method can solve your problem.
If this isn't the case - you lost a little time, and you may want to uninstall all packages and Microsoft updates and starting from scratch. Drastic Yes - but the lazy mans way to fix these annoying bugs to update!
