IEEE1394 / Firewire chip current T - / W-Series

Hello

can anyone provide information about which chip IEEE1394 is used in appropriate models of the current T and W-series? The driver card reader suggests Ricoh, aynone can confirm this?

Also, is there some laptops Lenovo known to use TexasInstruments-Chips for IEEE1394?

Thank you and best regards

OK, I finally connected my M - Audio Firewire 410 to the FireWire of T530, and unit.

No pop, cracking or other problems when you work in my APPLICATION using M-Audio ASIO drivers.

Clicks or cracking appears only when I let my DAW open and then try to play a video file

WMP or try to watch a video on Youtube, Ditto for playback of audio files in Winamp and WMP

(6.4 - old school). I expected to crack and burst when you work in my DAW using ASIO

only drivers, so the questions I have met are not that big of a deal.

Hope this helps (person), because I wasn't able to find much info about when buying my T530

the combination of Thinkpad chipset firewire port and material M-Audio (I do not know if it will be

work with other audio hardware but it - will probably not miss trying to be before buying if you get the

chance).

Where can I find out what firewire chip has this laptop and do I install original drivers for it? Windows XP Device Manager says "IEEE 1394 OHCI compatible Host controller vendor" with the Microsoft drivers?

    thanx

    Hello!

You can find this if you install a hardware information such as Everest or PC Wizard tool. These tools can display all the information in hardware on your laptop and the two tools are free.

If the Firewire port is listed in the Device Manager correctly you n t need an additional driver.

  • Equium P300-16 t Firewire and Canon MV530I camcorder

I have been informed by the barrel that my Canon MV530I is not compatible with Windows Vista (Home Premium) and video transfer, I need to use firewire, but they have not responded to my request for more information. I was wondering if the camera requires a firewire installled driver,

I bought a 4 pin 4-pin IEEE1394 firewire cable lead taken - ilink (I assumed this is the right cable to use) and I put the camera to AV - DV out but when I connect the camcorder to my laptop it is not detected. I tried Windows Movie Maker and Arcsoft Showbiz DVD2 but neither sees the camcorder.

I checked in Device Manager and the IEEE 1394 compatible OHCI host controller is reported as working properly and has the latest version of the driver.

I have a video capture device SNAPSHOT of EZCAP USB 2.0 on order so that I can transfer my VCR VHS tape and I wonder if the connection of the camcorder AV out who would work as a last resort, although I prefer firewire.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hello Ivatt

It's quite complicated. Laptop manufacturer is responsible for a lot of ports to work on the book and must guarantee that the ports work in accordance with the defined specifications.
You use external peripheral part and want to use one of the ports on the laptop.

In your case, the device is not recognized. So now, the question is where is the right address for help and support. Canon has better experiences with own products and probably they tested clean products, how to be recognized on the most used operating systems. My personal opinion is that the Canon should help you with this and offer good drivers if necessary.

For example, I have an old Sony camcorder and when I connect it to the use of Windows XP Home, Vista or Win7 cam firewire cable edition is recognized immediately and I can transfer the material recorded on the HARD disk or use it for live recording on HDD and create different video files.

It seems that the drivers for various multimedia devices of Sony are already included in Microsoft operating systems and devices will be recognized automatically. It is the same with my digital cam DSC-W200.

Try to contact Canon again. they must have a solution for this problem.

    Hello

I think to buy an audio interface that connects to the * Firewire Port *.
However, the port looks different than on my new desktop PC.

Does anyone know if the Firewire port on this laptop is able to power a Firewire device?

I understand that there are ports 4 and 6 pins or connections, and I'm not sure that we have this laptop.

    Thank you

    Hello

As I know the laptop supports the IEEE1394 Firewire/iLink 4pol.
Here you will find a photo and info on firewire ports and how to publish a firewire 4 pin looks like.

  • EliteBook 8770w firewire

Hello, I recently bought an elitebook 8770w (LY562ET #ABU) and use it to write music. I was think Purchasing UAD 2 satellite firewire to use with my DAW, but do not know if it is compatible with my Elitebook. The satellite UAD2 has 400 and firewire 1394 slots in the rear that are compatible with Firewire 800. I was wondering if you could tell me whether or not my Elitebook would be able to connect to the satellite? because I read somewhere that a similar Elitebook model wasn't compatible 800 firewire.

It has a port... ieee1394a firewire. See the datasheet here:

    http://h10010.www1.HP.com/wwpc/pscmisc/VAC/us/product_pdfs/HP_Elitebook_8770w_Datasheet.PDF

The firewire port is on the right of this photo, and it looks like standard firewire400 for me. There is an Expresscard 54 expansion slot, and you can use an ExpressCard firewire800 to establish the connection. In other words, if you have firewire 800. I gather firewire 400 will also work and there is cable adapter to connect any type of firewire 400 buses to a firewire 800 connection. In other words, I think you can connect the camera to the laptop with a cable. If you can post a photo of the FireWire on your device, I can find you an adapter cable. Here is an ExpressCard for you give a 800 firewire if you absolutely must have that:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Belkin-FireWire-ExpressCard-external-F5U514/DP/B000I20QSQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1379685573&SR=8-1&keywords=ExpressCard+54+FireWire+800

  • HP Touchsmart TX2 (ea 1340) - is there a TPM chip?

    Hello

I am trying to determine if my laptop - which is a HP Touchsmart TX2 (ea 1340) - has a TPM chip installed?

I start work as an entrepreneur with a new company, and their IT service wondering if my laptop has such a TPM chip, I think that it is necessary for the Bit Locker, which is part of their standard PC image works ok.

I looked online and can't find if the laptop has this chip or not - can help you please?

    Thanks - John

No, there is no TPM chip on the tx2 series

  • Series T and the new piece of Intel i7

I like my laptop T series and I want to get a new one, but I'll wait until the new i7 chip is available. I have this laptop for 5 years now and it still works well, but it's getting a little slower so I thought I would upgrade. See how long I like to keep my machines I want to ensure I get the last chip. Do you know when or if you plan to move to the new fastest chip?

New series spread since January/February. No idea if it will be i7.

I bought a T400 with a P8800 with discounts that Lenovo is running and a 20% reduction recently and it is good. I added an SSD drive and makes the biggest difference.  I would ask enhanced before the new i7 graphics if I had to make the request (thr ATI 3400 line is 3 generations ago).

  • Quality mp3 sound

I would like to hear views and suggestions on the MP3 with the best sound quality.  I have Rhapsody compatibility with very old Sansa e280R mp3 player problems, so I recently bought a clip/zip to replace (little something for the market).  I have not done my homework, and I know that this unit is moderately priced ($39 at Best Buy), but I was expecting the same richness and sound quality I get from my iphone and my old e280R.  It's may be close enough for others, but it's not close enough for me, so I am disappointed.

I talked to the Sandisk technical support, and they assure me that the technical specifications of sound quality for the clip/zip are equivalent to the e280R, but it isn't in my ear.  And I tried to adjust the sound using the equalizer settings - no luck.

Then, I myself have resolved to lose the very high sound quality, like, since there is no other Rhapsody Sansa devices there considered superior by Sandisk.  But I'm curious - what are the best mp3 out there (from anyone) players, with a sound comparable to or better than that of an Iphone.

Any ideas, opinions or information to share?

Rhapsody has dropped support of RAX format this year, a real shame for those of us who have benefited from the R-series Sansa e200.

As you have discovered, currently Rhapsody media are now the format WMA (Windows Media Audio) 160 kb/s. This format is used for all current devices and very good sounds, especially those who use version v2 of the e200. The advantage of using a newer device, is that you have the feature Rhapsody channels, is no longer an option with the original series of R.

Your ears aren't deceiving you. The problem is electronic base. Although the processor of the new machines is higher than the chip of the old series R PortalPlayer, diminutive Clip has a source of energy is much smaller than the big e200 battery. A digital audio player function is to decode the data and output a current signal variable for your helmet.

Quite simply, the e200 has more "power". If you use a more effective listener, especially the type of "in-ear monitor", you can retrieve many of which has lost efficiency. The Clip hits that subtle balance between raw power and play time. Overall, the small Clips sound is great, but there is a small difference can be heard. Austria Microsystems device has a richer sound, but a little less impact; This is because the power supply is smaller.

If you search patiently, there are devices out there v2, but they were replaced by the original Sansa Fuze (the original is square with a rotating wheel). The v2 is a case e200 with a Sansa Fuze nestled in the breast.

I love the Zip Clip. I wear a set with the Clip +, have different music on each machine. The zipper color display gives me album art as the faithful e200, and its size makes it very convenient. But when I really want to hear the details, this big e280 is the machine of choice. And is his new 1300mAh battery lasts until the cows home.

  • Having trouble getting an updated driver at the level of OpenGL 3.0

I have what is called "integrated graphics" IE graphics card Intel (r) HD on a G6950 processor. Level OpenGL display is 2.1 but I want to run some new SW that requires 3.0 (I'm not a 'gamer', it's BASIC SOFTWARE ENGINEERING). If I ask Microsoft to update my driver he says that everything is up-to-date, if I ask Intel driver update, it indicates a higher number release exists, but for reasons that I do not understand that she refuses to install it and when I called them, they said that they didn't think that they had a "duty" to support the higher level! I understand that I COULD buy and install a 'real' graphics card (the two slots are apparently empty right now) but I do not understand, the on-board system is not THAT bad and the graphical utility shows he did 12 cores - how much should I I need a basic system? I mean I don't think that's the problem of Microsoft really everything, but if it should not be possible to help all around it's much better than this? Only 5 years of the system, I've owned previous systems a lot longer! Besides if I have a third graphics card, on what basis should I expect to support their product that is BETTER THAN the Intel? (I guess it would be the problem of Microsoft if the deficit were to the DirectX level?) And where in the docs for a possible card do I know what level THEY are "ready to support"? It's really blow my mind...

The graphics Intel(r) HD on a G6950 processor card is limited to the Open GL 2.1.

It is compatible with DX10 but not DX11.

It is a hardware limitation. There is nothing that can be done to correct this.

You may well have owned systems that were older than 5 years earlier, but didn't have never been

facing material limitations like this, but 5 years is, unfortunately, a lot of time in the years of dog/computer. Especially with graphics.

Apparently your cpu was released in 2010, and I think she's a first version of the most recent

Graphics card Intel HD, which is integrated into the cpu vs a chip on the motherboard, but is a little too

    early to Open GL 3.0.

«.. . If I get a third party graphics card, on what basis should I expect to support their product is BETTER THAN the Intel? »

Intel is not a graphics support period long. It is at least partly due to the fact that drivers is modified according to motherboards, which requires that download you the drivers from the

card mother mfg if you want a guarantee of stability and the card mother mfg and laptop mfg

often provide an update of the driver after one or maybe two years.

-However, Intel updates often drivers for their graphics for a longer period than the card mother mfg, so that you can sometimes download latest drivers for graphics card intel directly from

Intel or even through updates of Windows (the "optional" section) and have no problem.

MFG of dedicated graphics cards tend to support their cards with the new drivers for more

periods ie - Nvidia drivers latest still support graphics cards, released in June 2010.

They always supported the gpu in their pilots in July 2014 which have been published in ' 05

Note that while pilots can still support these 'old' cards, there is little or no benefit

update the drivers for the graphics over three years and "optimizations".

more addressing the most recent series, in particular cards the last series (in large part because)

the 'old' series was optimized to the maximum).

Which brings back us to the motherboard. You may need an update to the BIOS of your motherboard

to be able to recognize a current or previous series dedicated graphics card (with Nvidia is

the 700 and 900 series cards).

This is assuming that your motherboard has a recent enough BIOS update available.

Then we come to the part concerning power. You should also check the power supply

Watts/amps to run a card dedicated graphics and loose power supplies

ability to produce current and complete stability current with age.

It is less of a problem if you were to add a graphics card down range, as they can often operate

off the PCIe slot, without electrical connection additional required.

    -Short answer...

If you need this software for professional (or use the 'new' version at all).

You can get a more recent machine, if you want to avoid complications.

And with a new machine, you will not need to use a dedicated graphics card. The new Intel HD graphics

are much more powerful than what you currently have, especially on the i5 cpu.

-My 'old' i5 3570 cpu with HD 400 in 2012 can be exhausting to Open GL 4.0.
In my view, are also capable of up to Open GL 4.0 i3 with HD3000, but have not verified this.

You should always beware of what new cpu you use as not all of them have an integrated graphics card.

EDIT: Did a double check and found this on the site of Open GL (this would be for the continued support and would not affect the Intel HD graphics which is able to use OpenGL 4.0) -.

"Intel does not provide an implementation of OpenGL correct and up to date for their Integrated GPU. There is nothing that can be done about it. ATI and NVIDIA provide good support for their Integrated GPU. »

  • Graphics card Radeon laptop on platform Windows 8 crashes when you watch videos in Firefox. Problem does not replicate on other browsers. Is there a solution?

I have a 4540 of Hp ProBook with a Radeon 7 x chip video integrated of series, platform Windows 8.1. When I watch videos with the browser Firefox video adapter fails and the computer sometimes freezes. If I watch videos with another browser I don't have a problem. I went to HP and have downloaded the latest drivers from AMD but still no will. So far, the only solution is to not use Firefox when watching video clips. In short, I don't know what direction to go, and since the problem seems to be specific with Firefox, I thought I would draw your attention to the problem.

Some additional info... If I bypass the Radeon chip, i.e. use the alternate Intel video chip, I don't have a problem. It said the native PC with Windows 7 pro with the upgrade software and the key of Windows 8. In any case when 7 was installed there where no problems with the playback of videos in Firefox. Installing Windows 8 was installed a clean place, not an upgrade...

    Thank you

I forgot a second hardware acceleration setting, which is changed in Flash itself. See this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

Good evening (in Italy's 23:32) to HP support staff, I need your help.

After you have installed Windows 10 64-bit on my HP Pavillion TX2025el, the maximum screen resolution is 1024 x 768 instead of the previous a 1200 x 900.

The drivers installed by default are Microsoft std, but with this, I can't reach the maximum resolution.

Please can you tell more or help me find the right? Even try to install NVIDIA Installer including the system and installed the best scanner driver (as as made on my previous WINDOWS 7 Professional 64 bit), the system "tells me" that it is impossible to install.

So please help me to solve this problem. I hate my screen 1024 x 768.

For I have not found a solution IMUST BACK to MY AMAZING Windows 7 Professional

Thank you a lottery for your help and the co-op.

    Stefano Reali of Italy

    Hello:

See if it works for you...

Download the graphics driver Vista support page for your laptop.

This package contains the driver for the chip video NVIDIA GeForce series in the notebook models and operating systems.

    File name: sp42635.exe

Run the above driver.  You will probably get an error of unsupported operating system.

    Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager and click on the video controller (or Microsoft based Display Adapter) who need drivers.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart.

  • Cannot change the wireless Lan through the Client Manager

I currently have a series of Satellite Pro 6100 running Windows 2000. The user is uable to select another wireless thanks to the future connection manager Client unless he is logged on as administrator.
We run Customer Manager V2.58. This problem is noticed in the previuos versions but was supposed to be fixed in Version 1.58.
There is no set of restrictions against this user in AD that would prevent these changes only that he is not an administrator.

Can anyone help with this please.

    Thank you

One of my friends has the same client wireless as you and ask him the solution to this problem. His opinion is that you are right. You are able to switch between profiles only if you are logged on as administrator.

It makes no sense to me. Try to give any user administrator rights and allow him to have unlimited access to the computer, and then try again.
Perhaps on this way you can be sure that it is just a means to add, edit, and change between the rare profiles.

  • Satellite A500: Low resolution using Win 7

    Hello

I have looked around the forum and have found no real solution to my problem so...
I recently bought a Satellite A500 and did a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional on this subject.

Apparently, I had to just update to keep the drivers, but being the noob that I am, I have not.
So now that my resolution is stuck at 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600, neither of which are native.

I downloaded the drivers 64-bit win7 on the Toshiba site, but apparently, I already have the latest ATI driver installed.
However, I can't always change the resolution, and my monitor is recognized as generic non - PnP.
Is it possible to check if I have the display driver?

And also all the solutions for the display problem would be very grateful. It's the only thing that remains now bothering me on this new laptop.

    Hello

I assume you are using Win 7 64 bit OS because you selected the display of Win 7 64-bit driver is good?

    What A500-xxx you have exactly?
The European driver Toshiba page provides three different display drivers for the A500 series. Intel, nVidia and ATI
Seems three different graphics chips were installed in series A500

You should first check what graphics chip using your laptop
Then go to Device Manager and uninstall the display driver.
Then visit the page of the European driver Toshiba, download the display on the right for the graphics chip driver and install it.

Then restart the device and check how would go to the laptop.

    Welcome them
